That is one of the run flat strategies that is out there. The military currently use that type of tire with some additional equipment inside the tires for their up-armored vehicles.
Those tires have been around for awhile. They are great, but they do not perform exactly like a pneumatic tire so they tire manufacturers have been slow on the take up.
BigRed or Jeff from F.A.S.T. would be the best one to explain it as they know what the shop actually do. I am interested as what is actually in a duneable override. :geek:
So far no one has solved the problem of what to do if you have pipes that do not have spark arrestors in them and you don't want to clamp things to the outside of them?
 Some of us have motors that would not be very well served by a set of Toomeys or FMF's. If either of these silencers will fit on CPI or Shearer expansion chambers or stingers, let me know.
It will be interesting to see what they have. I have never seen anyone running them before, which as always, makes me suspicious. ALBA has tended to be full of poo evey time I have calledthem about anything.
Dammit. I hope they stop doing this by the time I have a chance to get out to the Dunes. The Baja 1000 effort at work is really cutting into my weekends.
I was thinking about getting a set of the Cascade CSFX silencers, maybe that would confuse (i.e. you can't stick a stick straight in them) the BLM rangers and they wouldn't figure out there wasn't a spark arrestor in there.
I have heard that before and nothing ever came of it. I think I am going to have to wind up getting stopped before I go to the hardware store to get stainless steel screen to intall in my silencers.
