  1. Come on one of you SoCal guys has to be into motorcycles and know what I should ask for and where I should post it for sale.
  2. If I had it to do over I would get and MBA instead of MSME degree. I would be several rungs up the ladder and make twice as much money. ::
  3. Camburg......................
  4. Can we hold hands while we write it?
  5. It won't help anything, but it cetainly won't hurt anything. You always want to run the lowest octane fuel possible without detonation. If you do a search in this forum you will find several useful threads that answer your questions.
  6. Porting.
  7. I am not sure I want encourage him to put art in his posts, but heyif he needs a creative outlet, he should go for it.
  8. Inorder to get that, you would have to be familiar with a member that used to be on here named "night." You should do a search for some of his posts, if they are still around, as I think he got booted off here. You might get a giggle or two out of them.

    Who build those?

I thought that too at first, but then in you open a picture of their arms next to the ones pictured in this thread, they are clearly a different diameter and shape.
  10. Hardened drill rod that was pre-ground would be great to shaft out with. I don't know what the inside of a yfz450 shock looks like, but as long as the diameter doesn't become larger that nthe seal surface you should be all set. The threads would need to be rolled or ground after that. FYI: Generally if you are trying to seal in oil under pressure you need to be sealing against a ground surface. Otherwise, you wind up with something that it similair to the classic OEM Chevy rear main seal leak, that could only be remedied by the average mechanic by putting a sleeve on the crankshaft and an aftermarket seal (wound up being sold as a kit by Felpro). How is your suspension coming by the way?
  11. Word. That's what I have done in the past. Some bubble wrap around the edges is also nice.
  12. At least night would do binary art in his posts, so I Had something to look at while he was bothering us.
  13. According to the Acronym Attic FTM could stand for the following: ****** FTM Frances the Mute (album by The Mars Volta) ****** FTM Fair to Midland (band) ****** FTM Free Throws Made (basketball) ****** FTM Forgot to Mention ***** FTM Feel the Magic (video game) ***** FTM Flat Tension Mask **** FTM Field Training Manager **** FTM Fundaci
  14. You should email him and tell him that.
  15. Once you get a bike lowered like you have it you generally will have to relocate the upper roller or get an after market spring loaded roller that you have to mount to your frame some how. Otherwise, you'll just keep eating up rollers if the chain is riding on it all the time. I suppose you could also solve your problem by raising your bike back up a bit.
  16. To give a bit of an update, I haven't heard from the guy for two days since I explained to him about filing a claim with UPS. I figure he is either filing a claim with UPS, getting ready to scre me over in one way or another, or he's just not going to do anything.
  17. My joint combo gives me full travel out of my shocks and I don't have a tie rod end problem.
  18. That would definitely cause problems.
  19. This is certainly something I was concerned with. I can't remember what I paid when I bought it new. I am not sure what resale on a Sportster is around here. Here is another picture that I just took today.
  20. I am thinking of selling my 2005 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom in preparation for my upcoming career move. It has about 5600 miles on it with some tasteful aftermarket stuff on it like Vance & Hines pipes, Arlen Ness air cleaner, Progressive rear shocks, Corbin seat, Avon tires, and so on. I have all the OEM stuff I have taken off like the pipes, air cleaner, and seat. It is still covered under warranty and is in fantastic condition. My questions are the following: 1.)How should I go about selling it? (eBay, Cycle Trader, Craig's list) 2.)What should I ask for it? (I live in SoCal and it's tax return time) 3.)I still owe Harley a bit of money for the bike. What is the procedure for the transaction between the buyer, myself, and Harley?
  21. The guy was trying to sell a fairly nice looking stock framed, paved strip drag bike. It's not like there is a huge market for those types of bikes here or on PS.
  22. He's busy doing a Han Solo with his light saber.....................
  23. Just a large, hairy creature from a galaxy far, far away.....................
