  1. I have always had trouble finding a wrench big enough to tighten my axle nuts, but after working at the dealer for 7 months now ive figured out how they do it. With a socket, a home modified socket is all. Keep in mind that your left hub has to be off to do this, but its probably off anyways if your needing to tighten these things. You simply buy the properly sized socket, 50mm i believe, and then cut it in half at the base of the hex. Then look around until you find about 18 inches of 2 inch tubing. Coincidently 50mm is just under 2 inches so this tube works perfect. The final step is to weld the new tube section into the middle, where the socket has been cut. This way you can either use a torque wrench for the proper tightening, or an impact if youre in a hurry. Once i view the service manual at work I'll verify the nut's size, as well as the torque values. Also, measure your axle for the amount of tubing needed, if youre running a wider axle my measurements will be no good. Good Luck.
  2. i do. haha. and 20 for a pilot is shitty. i can rejet my carbs three times, pilots and mains, for that much.
  3. hahahaha, so true. Nightrider is right though, 19 or 20 years is a long fuckin run for anything to be produced with only one substantial change.
  4. yeah its mild. probably the cheapest worst kind of mild you will ever see, too.
  5. ok, good. i just hadnt seen anything.
  6. im not too firmiliar with dirt drags but here goes: for tires a lot of guys use Pro wedge 2's for groomed tracks. they hook up well, and so do some others that currently slip my mind. by chassis i mean your suspension. asphalt draggers tend to use a rigid frame setup. either through the use of struts in place of shocks, or aftermarket frames with no suspension even in the design. sand on the other hand needs a little shock adsorbtion, so most dudes use a Marvin shaw drag type air shock. and typically yes, your jugs can be ported a lil more to go to a full drag port. also your ported jugs will be useless if you move onto a stroker motor. the extra stroke throws all of the port timings out of whack. later bro, and good lulck to ya.
  7. maybe if a select few hadnt scared off meat (and b370 as well) he could give us an answer. but i guess thats out of the question now.
  8. two years ago one of the seniors' dad was a farmer so he and his buds loaded up like 3 tons of cow shit on a tandem axle trailer and then dumped evenly at all the main doors on the campus. it smelled for quite a while.
  9. Does anyone know how much misalignment a standard ball joint can withstand before it binds. In other words, how many degrees of movment is there in the a-arm ball joint of a stock banshee a-arm? im kinda tryin to figure out what parts i need to make a set of my own arms. and i dont have a protractor to measure it. thanks guys.
  10. it very well could be the right thing to do. perhaps the only thing keeping the frontend from being higher is the binding of the front ball joints. im not for sure abou this, but i thought id throw it in there.
  11. hahaha, hes right. i cant stand to ride them damn things.
