that happened on my hardbody. the main positive wire from the battery wasnt one, but a cluster of wires and one that controlled the accesories through out the car had come loose. thats where id start. but then again, it was a '90 model.

not a bad idea. really the best way i know how to with a bolt that big is to drill it dead in the center with the exact same size bit as would be used when tapping a hole of that size. if youre right on center youl only remove the center of the bolt, none of the threads. then we usually go in with a pick and remove the trheads. tehy tend to come out looking like a helicoil, which is good. when done properly it wont mess with any of the threads. good luck to ya, and use a lil heat.

impacts are great for speed, but i can usually break nuts loose better with a ratchet. just use a piece of tubing as a cheater and bammo. im not talkin aboiut cheesy impacts either. i mean like a matco 1/2in.

shifter shaft seals are easy. a real DIY project. simply remove the countersprocket to gain access. after that screw a drywall srew into the seal itself, carefully avoiding the case. after its in tight pull it out gently with some pliers. then softly tap the new one into place.

thats gets me too sickboy. its a real pain in the ass, but its waaaay better than paying attention.

what the hell kinda lube did you price? if you paid that they should have put some on your ass..................
