Yes we do pay, $5 gate fee, $15 for the first class, and $10 for every other class. We plan on boycotting the track, but I thought this would be a good idea so he could see exactly how many racers he is losing by not takiing the time to groom it.

Hey guys, there is a Drag racing event here in Illinois that is put on a couple times a year. The thing is, the conditions of the track are fucking horrible. I mean deep ruts, run outs, etc etc, to the best of my knowledge this track has not been groomed since i started racing there nearly 3 years ago. Ive got some prtty nice shocks on my shee and i bounce all over that track, I witnessed a riged frame snomoquad bounce about 18 inches off the ground hitting one of the bumps in the strip! The conditions of the track are flat out unsafe and we riders have to much time and money invested in our machine to risk them at a track of this poor quality, not to mention our own well being. Some of us tried earlier in the year talking with the president of the club who puts the event on expressing our concern, AND NOTHING WAS DONE, NOTHING. They told us they have the equpipment, just no time. Well this was months ago, and last weekend at their latest event, you guessed it not a damn thing. Yup When i got my 33's i hated them, rode it for about a week and cant even tell now.

ABout a week ago i had a reed crack, and finally got around to working on it today. Put the new reeds in and now it is running really weird. Almost certain it has somthing to do with fuel. When i start it up it will run fine with the choke "on" both carbs. Fires nice idles okay, and revs clean. WHen i turn the choke off it idles to the moon, then works its way down to a normal idle, but if i hit the gas she just bogs out and dies. I tiik the carbs off and tore them completly apart and cleaned them both. Its got 33mm keihins on it, jetting is the same its been all year 52 pilots, w/ 165 mains. Its cooled off some but not enough for a dramatic change like this what do you guys think?

Just to make sure Im understanding you... You cant get into 1st gear? Any noise from the motor when its running? Could be somthing like the shift star, or maybe the 1st gear shift fork is bent or somthing

Ill let some of my close riding buddies ride it, and they let me ride theirs. Also a select few of my good friends get a shot at it once in a while. But they all know you break it you buy it. One of my friends knows from experience. I love when they get off and say "Damn i didnt think it would be that fast!"

I would go at least 33 MM if not 35 MM. Your bike will run with the stockers, but you will not see the added benifits of your new motor. The 30's would be okay, but they are gonna have a lot less top end than the 33's would, on the other hand with the 30's your gonna have better low end, and throtle response. It looks like your going after a top end machine so big carbs would suit you well. I also would go with the keihins. Majority of the people here are running them with no complaints. You also have the benifit of having a mass of people around that are familiar with tuning them when the time comes. just my .02

I had the same problem with mine about a month ago. I broke one set, ordered replacement reeds, and broke them a week later. I called moto tassinari and told them about it, he said they have just developed a new reed petal for them that are a bit stronger. They told me to ship them my old reeds / cages and they would replace everything. A week later I had a BRAND NEW SET OF REEDS!!! I expected to get the old ones back... but nope, Brand new Something you may want to look into. All i had to pay for was shipping

Dont get the rockets for MX. As stated there more of a top end pipe. I had fattys before and they were a awsome all around pipe. I also know a lot of MX'rs like the Paul turner mids, and pro circuit's as well. Get a new frotn end on her, some nice shocks. At the least get works, if youve got the coin go for some Elka, or TCS, some +2 a-arms, and a -1, or -2 swingarm. With that the bike will feel like a enitrely new machine.

It's not the best chrome job I've seen, but for $450 compared to $600 Im not complaining.
