  1. it's a cleaner fuel than pump gas.. and it doesn't varnish up like pump gas.. it'd work really nice with some more compression....
  2. ony problem with that is meiar plastic fits like crap... at least any that i've ever had.... and it doens;t ahve the sharp lines like the factory has
  3. split the 91 and 111.. it comes out to 100... this is the reason i've leaned toward the av100ll... samne end result and less money... plus you don't have to deal with the crap thats in pump gas. i used to mix pump and race fuels too
  4. with the stroked crank you'll fell more power down low even with the higher exhaust port.. when you rasie the exhaust port the engine tends to get "pipey" the stroker helps curb that "pipey" feeling.. as for the 2:! setup.. i ported a pair of cylinders for a guy names nitrousbaby (not sure if he's a member here but he is a member at e2s) and he uses a 2:1 setup... it's not a trinty though... and even with stock timing, heavy stock flywheel and a stock uncut head he was kicking ass on the drag strip against the 450's and other trial shees....
  5. even if they work just as good as the NGK's the price is better..
  6. CF reeds are a stiffer material.. orm my experiance with them.. they provide a harder hit at the expense of throttle responce.. which is fine for a duner or dragger.. for a trail machine i think the boysen dual stages on a ported stock cage work awesome.. and..... they are CHEAP.. so the replacment petals are such a big hit.. especially if we are talking a vf3...
  7. it does look like it would provide more intake volume but... what about intake velocity? looks like your velocity would take a large hit... maybe thats why it says it's designed for bigger engine applications.. i can see where this wouldn't help any on a smaller engine due to the loss of intake velocity..
  8. i have heard (not sure if i agree with it) that when you mix a lower octane fuel with a higher octane fuel you don't get a "middle ground" you in fact get the lower octane.. the way it was explained to me i guess does make sense.. that as the lower ocatne fuel burns the higher burns it too burns the higher octane fuel at an accerated rate...
  9. as the guy said above there are certain "rules to stick by" as in how much you raise the ex port in comparison with the transfers.. the differnece divdied by 2 is whats called "blowdown" if this blowdown figure is way off it'll run like crappy.. as for keeping things even.. if you marked everything correctly and cut carefully to those lines.. your gonna be close enought for what your trying to do.. i'm guessing this isn't some super technical race motor.. the flow bench... again not somethign youir gonna ned to worry about for a play motor.. in fact.. most hiogh end race shops don't taek the time to FLOWBENCH cylinders..
  10. and.. with a 4mm crank and a measurement from the top of ex port to deack hieght of 33mm you'd have an exhaust port duration of 179... thats lower than stock.. thats IF i entered the info correctly and with a measure ment on teh transfers form deck heifght to top of port of 33mm you'd be at a 132.. again if i entered this right into the portmapper program
  11. odaens on teh right track.. and... i know a little program that can help you out...
  12. if your going to mill it.. just take .030 off.. i believe that about the norm anyway.. if i remeber correctly that gives you around 20.5cc dome. which is pump gas friendly...
  13. when i was stock with just t5's i was draggin agaisnt a guy with 916's and vf2's.. i beat him every single time in about 400ft... now.. when you fctor porting into the equation.... i'd say the t5 will shine... t5's love an exhaust port around 192....
  14. av100LL might work well for ya
  15. personally i never understood why anyone uses std bore wisecos.. hers why a stock piston uses a piston-wall clearnce of .005-.008 a wiseco uses a clearance of .003-.005 so..... even if you had a "tight" set of jugs from the factory.. you'd be at the edge of tolerance with the wisecos... does wiseco make thier pistons .002 bigger? you;d better MIC the std pistons and the wisecos and compare before you do anything with them.. that kind of the "cheap ass" way of doing it.. but whatever works for ya i guess

  17. i wouldnt even stay with the stock crank.. a 4mm crank with factory cyls.. works great... i have one.. i won't say who it's built by... (shit storms follow around here) and mine runs great.. the 4mm crank really helps the torque.. especially if you plan on a taller ex port duration.. which tends to make the engine more "pipey".. i think the important thing they are saying is stay away from the cub unless your a duner/dragger... with that 4mm crank you can have a 70rwhp trail machine.. and that sounds like sooooooooooooooooooo much fun haha
  18. a thread about redline adn no post by odaen? bruce must be slipping in his old age..
  19. the problem si the compound if you ask me.. a sd23 is a very soft compound.. try going with something a bit harder... maybe a sd38.. just soemthing harder than a 23... those are what we run on clay...
  20. at 180 yoiu'll be fine.. and will not sacrifice top end power.. you need more compression than that.. my 4mm motor has 182psi compression and i run it on av100ll with no problem at all
  21. go with a 10 paddle hauler...
  22. so lemme get this striaght.. you use the electrical from the RZ as well... does an RZ run a battery and if so do yoiu need ot use it with a banshee comversion... been wondering becuase i'm thinking of building a ported long rod rz motor for a banshee
  23. very interested... pm pics please pm sent
  24. they gotta be chromed.... toomey does not make stainless pipes
