  1. Yes the truck was off the grond when we made the adjustment. Yes it was level before we adjusted it. It has not been touched since i drove it off the lot. And No the adjuster bolt is not turned all the way in.
  2. Well its got 2500 miles on it so i hope its not installed wrong, or going weak. guess i will call the dealership tomorrow and see what they have to say.
  3. why would there be such a big differance. Just the characteristics of each torsion bar itself?
  4. I have an 05 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab, I adjusted my torsion bars today and found something i consider to be odd. The adjustment bolt on the left had about 6 threads to fully tight. The right side had about 11 threads? Is it normal for them to be uneven, the truck sits level, and it rides fine. Im just wondering if i need to have it looked at by the Dealership? Thanks Dustin
  5. yep, clean your carbs, especially your pilot jets. I was having a hard starting problem, but i gave the carbs a good cleaning and she starts after sitting for two week after probably 3-4 kicks. I also adopted a new way to kick start my shee. Kick it over 2-3 times with the kill switch off, then click it on, and kick it like normal, and see how it goes!
  6. go to the hardware store (ACE is the place) and get some stainless bolts. I did a bunch on my banshee, plus you dont need to buy the whole kit, just buy what you need!
  7. Make sure you put a rag in the opening of the case so you dont drop any of the wrist pin clips or any other crap down in there. Put a little oil on all the contacting surfaces prior to installing them, and and make sure your rings line up on the little pins in the piston. pretty easy though! have fun!
  8. yes, Quicksand can do ball joints for you if you need them. and yes you need to order off the website either thru e mail or by calling the number on the contacts page!
  9. Wow that sure takes the ole anatomy class to a whole new level. I thought disecting dead cats and fetal pigs was bad, but a living dog....holy shit....no thanks!
  10. Man That sucks. But you gotta watchout in and around tucson. There are alot of slime ball people in this city, just like every other city, but we just happen to be situated very close to the border.
  11. Yep, its true, got a 1500 Z71 Crew and really cant say that i like the doges much!

  15. So is there alot of riding area out there? I have heard the cinders are a blast. Flagstaff would be about the same distance as going to glamis for me. Guess im gonna have to head that way when it gets too hot here in tucson! thanks
  16. Hot Well Dunes Link Anybody been up to this place before. I guess its near safford AZ. Would be alot closer for me to drive from tucson, but is it worth it. I says only 2,000 acres of dunes. I know that is not alot compared to glamis. If you have been there, let hear what you have to say! Thanks
  17. Love my Quicksand +4 in the dunes along with the +2+1 front end! Shee still wheelies on command too!
  18. Good shit, will have to look for the truck!
  19. I run a Quicksand Swing arm with my mods, and Gary of course runs his 10 mil stroker with a +8 Arm and i have never heard him say anything about slippage. I would just tighten it down some more...
  20. well that sucks. got a dremel?
  21. I like my spider grips. put them on at the beginning of the season and they are still holding up nicely link spider grips
  22. Rebuild it yourself. Mine is holding up great so far and it cost like 3 bucks at most. It will take you like 20 mins to do it yourself! If anything it will get you thru this weekend, and you can send it out after that!
  23. dont buy a camera based on Digital zoom. As anyone that has used a digi cam will tell you it SUCKS major ass. Look for a decent OPTICAL zoom, and i would go for MINI DV just because of the size. Stay away from the DVR cams because editing the already compressed video will not give you the best outcome. Digital 8 will also work if you are on a tighter budget, but the cam will be slightly bigger. Your cam will no doubt come with a firewire port, but make sure that it does before you buy it. If it has AV outs only then it will be more of a pain to capture to your computer. Last thing, one hour of DV footage (uncompressed) is worth 13 GB of your Hard Drive space. When you have questions about acutal capture and programs drop me a PM. good luck! Oh yeah, I have a Sony TRV-38 Mini DV cam and i use Adobe Premiere for capture and editing.
  24. yep i will be a sheppard for two weeks....fun
  25. Hey, im gonna be in texas the 2nd thru the 18th of May. Im thinking that weekend in the middle (7th and 8th) would be fun to head up to Little Saharah, and maybe hook up with some of you guys to go ride. I will be in Wichita Falls texas, so if there is anyone that is between there and the dunes and wants to go that weekend, let me know. Im bringing the banshee down in the new Crew Cab!
