  1. I'll add a thrid to that...
  2. Go for the new exhaust system, better bang for your buck...
  3. Do as the man said get rid of them, they are EVIL........
  4. I have a similar set up and at 270 I was lean on the top end. You might try a larger main jet and one larger on the pilot so you dont eat a motor. Do a top end run on some new plugs by running full throttle for jst a few minutes and shut it off immediately and check to see how your plugs look and if they are super dry as well. Good luck.
  5. I had smaller pilots in it and it ran shitty and would not start. We upped the pilot and it runs better and will kick. I know the carbs are clean as can be since I just cleaned them again this weekend out at the dunes and have cleaned the tank prior to leaving. The choke thing is fine for cold, but when warm I choke for a kick or two and normal with starting. We tried opening the throttle some and it was flooding it out and was bad news . I have a starting problem.... does anyone have a better clue, I'm guessing it is stator, or timing of some sorts, or what?? Thanks for a thrid time.
  6. I have checked the pilots and did all the checks that have been suggested, but no change. Compression is the same on both sides and at 130psi. I'm not sure if advancing the timing would would fix it, and does it change the way the bike reacts and does it make the starting better? All questions I don't have answers to. PLease help me out with these new questions.
  7. After many readings on the subject, I have a problem. My wife can start her banshee when it is cold but after riding a bit she can't get it to start when warm. I can start it with faster kicking speed and she of coarse gets mad since I have not fixed the problem . So here is my question, a stater or CDI or something else??? Fuel is not a issue, have been checked and weather is not a issues so far as I can tell. Thanks
  8. Depends on what kit you put on it, if it has TORS still, what else have you done with it.
  9. Call IMS in Calif for thier conversion kits, the A-arms are Roll designed ones and you can get your shocks throught htme at the same time, might cost a penny, but worth the money.
  10. Make sure a friend did not pull a prank and fill you up with gas to just fu#@ around with you, then start looking for causes, this is veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy starnge case....
  11. Do the carbs then remove all the stuff from the tors and check the rest of your concections and go for it.
  12. Sorry my friend, you have a serious problem possible. You man just need to re ring it or do a complete rebuild. Look at the cylinders for damage and then look at the pistons. If they look good then look in to the rings action. If any damage is noticed then rebuilt it. Good luck.
  13. Shock if rubber mounted or have machined pieces placed in it to help let them move when you compress them has you ride, they should move some, but if they are moving alot and maybe they need to have new bushings pressed in to keep the movement down some, or just run it.
  14. Sounds like you sucked something up in to a jet, but may have done some damage when you ran it out of gas....check your compression and have a look at those pilots.
  15. All the ideas are good so far, but you need to look at the clyinders themself, you could, lets hope not, have a crack in one or both and thats how your getting your fluid in there. Do what banchetta said but look to that area if your problem contunies.
  16. Use a air tool to just cut it off and start new... oh that not the best idea, maybe drink alot of beer then work on it, it helps me to think.....
  17. Run it and play around from there... , Ranshee is right about the V-forces!!!
  18. What are your pilots and what type of elevation, and temp and maybe running a 330 main is good, let us know more...maybe Ducman or SDD will read this and have a better idea for you.
  19. My wife is in the motorsports industry and she could not get a deal on them but was able to get a deal on some FMF's. But the Turners where first choice If you can afford them buy them otherwise look for some FATTIES...
  20. Thanks 370, nice photos by the way....
  21. 370 I see that you upgraded from the J arms to A arms, whos are they and which set of shocks did you go with??? Thanks
  22. Dunedemon, if you only ride the sand then the need for a rear skid plate is decreased to no need. But since your up near Elsinor there are lots of trails to ride than sure buy the new one....
  23. I agree with Banchetta, up your main to around 250-260 area and do a test to find out how it is running on the top end and you may need to change pilots, I doubt it. Good luck.
  24. I was running the same thing and started my changes. I have the cover off the bike from the filter box. The main is 320, pilot of 35, and it runs well mid through top alittle boggy in the bottom. Try pulling the cover off first and chech things out. I ride the dunes only.
  25. I run RK chain on all my bikes since I have a in at the purchase point. I bought a RK chain tool that works on both rivit type and clip type chains. You can try using all of the other things but this works really good. Try your local dealer or I mean Stealer to get the product or go to www.FTMBiz.com for it.
