  1. You may have to peel off a lil yamabond if its covering the case split... mine was
  2. my ricky plate was slightly more than snug also. I filed a very fine amount off so it'd fit just right and its great. modding the stocker isn't hard with a Dremel or similar. Ricky has a pic on his site of his adjustable plate and the markings and you can get approximate advance degree locations from the pic. its like 1mm or so per degree.. along those lines.
  3. mcaf29 has got the good info there... go slow and use a lot of cutting oil. you don't want to break that tap off in aluminum. Run a search in here, you'll find someone who got stuck in that problem and it sucked. I, also, wouldn't tap it with a drill, especially considering it is alum.
  4. I switch actually.. think thats nice about the twist is that you can do it all night long! well, seriously, i find it easier to go for longer days of riding without any fatigue. though, the thumb setup is great too. i'm more partial to it at this point but both are nice. really preference, quite frankly -- and some (like me) find it easier to ride for longer periods with one or the other.
  5. sorry for the re-run for those that have seen it.. just got an RS4 micro for free that needed work so just getting into RC. glad some of ya got a kick out of it though.. i sure did, too!
  6. Kazaa LITE is not bad. Kazaa itself comes with a bunch of spyare, including new.net and all sorts of other crap. Not worth it. Kazaa lite will do just fine if you're hooked on Kazaa. Google for it.
  7. Just a funny vid. only 536K, and safe for work. http://webuser.bus.umich.edu/olmsnj/dumb.wmv
  8. i don't think they're optional actually.. but maybe are. It gives you the RC Car shop asset when you're done. that mission, without a shadow of a doubt, was the hardest one. 1) don't hold the gas button down -- COAST when you can 2) if you're sitting on the ground, not moving, you don't use gas. Watch the map and use that info wisely -- e.g., be patient -- wait for vehicles to get closer to you if they're far far away. Can be somewhat random also so it might just take a random "good luck" time to beat it. 3) avoid sharp sharp movements 4) fly *over* stuff when possible to "cut" those corners DAMN YOU BERKELEY! F U, zero..
  9. Almost bought one.. Galyans got bought out by Dick's Sporting Goods and will no longer carry handguns so they're liquidating what they've got now. I shot one of dem der 454sat the range and it was crazy. had a stack o' Galyans gift cards and want to get rid of 'em before they stop taking them... and almost walked out of there with the Ruger Super Redhawk. thought it through though... would shoot it about 40 times and it'd be impractical, even using .45 Colt rounds, so opted for another Glock helluva gun though..
  10. mama always said, "Stupid is as stupid does"
  11. Wallynut - couldn't agree more on the .45 holsters. Had a bitch of a time finding one for my Glock model 30. Now if I carry it, it uses one of those "Glock klip" things which is nice but makes it impossible to break the gun down with it on. Modified mine slightly so you can break it down but its not as easy. The kydex holsters are a lil more difficult to find, and not many stores carry them on the shelves for a .45 Glock. Glad to see many of us are agreeing on Smith guns. Their revolvers are nice but their semiautos..eeek. iceman - nothing a .454 Casull round won't take care of
  12. Another thread by you about buying crap... jeez. My $.02. The sig is a fantastic gun. I will personally never own another Smith semiauto. I own two Glocks and am very pleased with them. People complain about Glocks and that its "just all a name" and all marketing hype -- well -- as an owner, I can tell you that they are absolutely fantastic if you're getting a gun for some type of *combat* (using the word in the most vague possible sense) work, the Glock is really the way to go. No words to describe it.. its just.. there. The sig is fantastic too. Not my choice for a carry weapon (yet) but a great gun. Again, wouldn't get a smith. also get what you can handle. A .40 is almost impractical as it kicks sharper than a .45 and the power it provides is only greater at a distance -- and no, you aren't going to be shooting anyone at a distance. 9MM is not a bad gun -- .380 would be an excellent choice also -- and a .45. If you can get 5 rounds off on a 9mm before you can get 2 off on a .45, buy the 9. People think that the biggest caliber they can shoot once or twice is the best. Wrong -- the biggest caliber you can handle and shoot accurately AND quickly is the right caliber for you. oh yeah -- have never been to a bar/nightclub, even in a bigger city, that anybody carries a firearm.
  13. What moron would design something like that...
  14. happy birthday to you, PassionRE, danacurtis, crawford626, shweetbanshee, and bansheeryder21! lots o partying gonna be going on
  15. i've used many many dig cameras and am very happy with my Minolta Dimage Xt. Its one of the pocket ones. Only 3 megapix but that's enough for a pocket camera. i take more pics with that than anything because it is so portable and easy to move around. They have newer versions out now but... very happy w/ mine! like the others have said.. to heck with digital zoom. optical zoom is the only way to go. also, when shopping for them, a fast cycle time (time between pics) is a nice thing to have too.
  16. yup, what Big Blue said. here in Michigan for instance they won't let you do it because of the live axle. http://www.michigan.gov/sos/0,1607,7-127-2...8594--F,00.html
  17. same here. walmart is good for beer and motor oil only. 290079[/snapback] ha! so true. only place around with 5 qt containers of Mobil 1 (and others) and the price is good.
  18. yep, good and bad. they are the largest private employer in America, keep in mind, and some of my friends worked there and they apparently aren't too bad to work for. only folks that hire more, to my knowledge, is the government. walmart was over 1 million employees last i knew. they are quite competitive.. there are probably lots of stories out there. only one i know is that we finally had a Meijer coming to our town, so Wal-mart added a huge addition and turned into a Super Walmart. more jobs, low prices, etc. i, too, had them mentioned many a time in school. oh and at least they aren't using their momentum to sell sheer garbage to the masses.. you'd better all be thinking "Microsoft" right now..
  19. Just keep a thin coat of grease on it... actually, i think most auto stores carry them but they may not be stainless come to think of it. mine are all just the basic cheapies and have never rusted.
  20. yeah on the $14,000 but damned if i'm taking any cash outta my ameritrade acct for that..hehe. pretty nice though.. would be a heckuva ride.
  21. i'm at the same dilemma, same place, with my T5s. the suggestion was to use stock silencers with them. You may have to cut and weld but that will quiet them down past the 94dB range and give you the spark molesters that they require also. Not sure how they'll fit with your CPI's but with the right facilities and ambition you could get the stockers onto them probably.
  22. +2+1 would be two inches wider, one inch forward. +1 is probably just one inch wider.
  23. would read the label and see if it is suitable for premix applications also. I got a gallon of Amsoil 2-cycle injector oil but it explicitly mentioned that it was OK to use in a premix app.
  24. I'm gonna guess "no", as Yamaha has barely changed the design since 87, so i highly doubt they'd try and change it for the last year of the shee's life.
  25. coulda sworn you posted a link to what LEDs you were using, before, but can you post it again? just wondering which ones as they're pretty good and bright!... the rest of the setup I can do.
