  2. Take the air filter off and make sure both needles are in sync and have full, smooth travel. I had a clip break off a needle once which caused the same problem. If not that, try a larger Pilot like stated above

Older Jato (about 3 years old) NEEDS: Steering knuckle installed (part to fix is included) On/off switch box (switch still works, but I lost the little box that holds it) new glow plug ($6) needs a motor soon (Traxxas swap program is awesome, a brand new motor is like $100) Air filter assembly ($10) Otherwise, this truck still rips right now and is a blast to drive. Just a little TLC needed to make it badass. Newer Jato (about a year old) NEEDS: New glow plug This truck RIPS and handles awesome. In great shape, super clean. Has RPM shock towers and A-arms with stock replacements as well Again, about 6 pairs of rear tires included along with tons of extra parts and tools. A brand new fuel bottle, and some other extras I cant think of will come with. EVERYTHING nitro RC car related that I have will go with these trucks. This is a great package for any Nitro RC enthusiast.
  5. Man, I first found this site back in late 2001 I believe. I was 88sheerips back then. I bought an 88 Banshee, found this site then it got stolen. I then had to sign up as 87sheerips when I bought my 87 a year or so later LOL.. I cant believe how long Ive been on here, don't know if that's healthy or not? ha ha
  6. Ok guys, I have two Jato's I need to get rid of. I love these trucks and have been into them for a few years now. Time to move on. One of them is getting a lil tired. Could use a refresh on the motor, and needs a steering knuckle up front. It still starts and drives, but has lost some compression, making starting difficult sometimes. Otherwise the truck is pretty darn clean and ready to go. The other is in GREAT shape. RPM everything, motor rips, everything is good to go. I burned up a glow plug trying to tune it for 33% fuel. So all you need for this one is a glow plug and its ready to go. I have one auto-starter, battery, and controllers for both trucks with different crystals in them. I have a Pro-Line body and two stock bodies that come with a bunch of tools and extra parts come with about 6 pairs of rear tires come with This is a great package for a couple buddies looking to race. I just got out of it for a bit, cleaning the garage so to speak. I will get pics up later or tomorrow. I am looking to get $300 OBO shipped for both. $250 OBO for local pickup, I am in Union, MI 49099. Open to trades/offers Would trade both trucks for a nice mountian bike, or possibly banshee parts.   8. Yes! This thread is awesome, cant believe I missed it so far. Very impressive man, and something that has always been needed. You should start offering this service to people with stock arms that want improvement over stock without the $$$ of aftermarket. Good work! -JD

  11. For flowing Methanol. Drill out gas cap, pingel high flow fuel valve, 5/16" I.D> fuel lines to ensure your bowls stay full of fuel and you don't suck her dry on long runs!

  13. Yep, and I guess that, along with the Pingel and 5/16 fuel lines takes away from the sleeper look a bit haha

  15. Same as above, you may want to change the water pump seal while yur in there, too... They do go bad so if you have everything apart just do it now.
  16. Put some items on ebay with some good pricing. Grilles, brake rotors, peg extenders, ORV plates, etc... My parts on Ebay
  17. I have 34PJs on alky for my 4mm drag motor... Love them. consistent, and easy to tune. Also have 35mm PWK's on my trail/duner... Awesome carbs, again very easy to tune and perform very well. You have quite a big window in my experience of tuning these carbs. Doesn't have to be an exact science (at least for me) to get great performance. Ill only rejet for the winter. Leave it the same for spring/summer/fall. I dont mind running rich to save from tuning a bit. Just hammer down! lol
  18. Ditch those stock carbs!! They are junk, and will cause you frustration. Go get some 33PWK's, or 35PWK's and be done with it. I have a stock stroke, dune ported motor with 35 PWKs and CPIs. It is a great combo for me, and in no way overkill. Runs great. You may want to try a CPI pipe and some bigger carbs... Hold on!

  20. Any Zilla I ran into has not impressed me. Ive pulled up next to many very nice Zillas where I thought Id lose in my dune ported 350, but it hasn't happened yet. I personally think they are bad ass, and who cares if they are the fastest. Id love to have one to beat on, but probably never will due to the reliability issues I have heard about them. Cool quads, but if you wanna go fast, buy a Banshee and be done!
