  1. http://www.cpindinc.com/pub/view_product/43?lm=3&name=CPI-6864 CP says 196*/130* with 0.012" base gasket.
  2. Carbs too big
  3. X2 on the pistons then. But if you're on a budget, I'd still consider shaving the stock head. And your 98 octane is probably like our 93. I've seen the discussions on RON vs MON or whatever, but don't pay much attention. Someone else can clarify.
  4. I just checked and it is. Brand new. $25 shipped.
  5. 150 psi and +5 timing on mine. Been running it for years. Results may vary. 92 - 93 octane. If you can't get at least 92 octane you may not want to raise compression. You can mix with alcohol and make cheap octane though. I've never done it and don't know the ratio.
  6. I got a polished wheel, no tire cheap. Edit: not sure of size but I can check.
  7. PWs and 4 snows FTW. They hook hard on shallow tracks for sure. I gotta buddy that runs them on everything. Gravel roads, paved roads, they hold up well. If you put them on a 9" wide wheel they're a little better but wont grow as much.
  8. I can't port motors, but I wish I knew more about what to look for in that^^^^. I always measure exhaust port timing, squish clearance, and squish band on motors just to see what the builder has done, but that's about it.
  9. Shave 0.020" off the head. I think the Vito's pistons would help also. Biggest carbs I would run on that would be 28 mm, but the stockers are good.
  10. How can we donate if we can't make the race? I don't have Facebook.
  11. I don't even run lines on some of mine.
  12. Not taking sides here, but how can the tires grow on bottom if the bike is strapped down? Glad the OP got his bike lined out and not doubting the dyno #s. Lol at Juan's pics.
  13. I never raced with the Realtors; just trail rode. They are a heavy tire. Those studded ones in the pic look like they have been buffed.
  14. If it grew at all and overreved (10,600)which is common on a dyno, that mph is legit according to my calculations.
  15. I've had a problem like that and the carbs were not in sync. They appeared to be,but the cable was in a bind. I fought it for a while. BUT carbs out of sync show up at lower RPMs. Reeds, water getting in cylinder, can show up at higher RPMs.
  16. I have some Realtors if anyone is interested.
  17. I got 1 at 200* exhaust and one at about 194 -195* and they run about the same as long as you have the right pipe and gearing. Not sure either is optimal, just sharing what I have. 198* is probably a good number. Not sure about transfers.
  18. Looks like Vito's. You can sometimes get a deep well socket and hole it with channel locks and run an Allen through it to hold the the screw.
  19. More RPM allows you to use more gears (at the expense of less torque.) The only way to potentially go faster is to make equal or more power at a higher RPM. As far as you running 1st gear, you change the ratio, so that wouldn't apply anyway to 100% of all other racers out there if they tried to run 1 - 4. I didn't check the ratio, but is your 1-4 similar to a billet 1-4? I'd guess your using 1st to slow wheel speed (and lockup speed) on launch, and probably works better with your launch limiter, where it can be all or none leaving in 2nd. Furthermore, I think these topics are just you killing time while you recover. Off topic:I don't know if anyone else has mentioned, but thanks for your service to our great country!

    Tire Opinion

    No
  21. 1 - 4 billet ftw!
  22. The 0.05" was taken out of the chamber, or off the step? Or both? What was the squish before? If the 0.05" was taken off of the step, you're going the wrong way on the base gasket.
