  1. Racing was actually quite awsome last night, despite the rain. I am actually impressed that we raced at all considering we were in Lawrenceburg Ky and the town of Paduca was literally under water! Many thanks go out to the folks that contributed to the cause! I actually tried to make the contributions work for you too. Instead of just turning the money in. I tried to win you guys a new Fly helmet that was being raffled off, but alas non of us won(was worth a shot). I put your names on the appropriate amount of raffle tickets and was going to ship you the helmet if your names were drawn.
  2. I am actually glad trent called the race. I wanted to go to connersville too. now I will probably make it
  3. Also Jonathan Nicholson. Thank you. I am trying to give credit where it is due! Thanks guys. Do we have any racers in this area that want to race me on my lil ole Raptor.
  4. J-Madd. I assume it was you. Thank you for your contribution! It will be a great help!
  5. I am already shopping for a neck brace. He will start looking for his added safety equipment during the off season since he won't be on a bike anymore this year! Thanks for your input toofast4you.
  6. Now also check out http://koidragracing.com/Home_Page.html for other races as well. They have a few races in Indiana as well. Or even check out http://www.wolfebros.com/ they are another group that we race with who hold races in Indian, Ohio and Kentucky I am not on here just asking for money. I am looking for more racers as well! Again thanks for your interest and concern.
  7. It would have helped if I actually answered your question wouldn't it? My brothers name is Justin Spires My Paypal addy is [email protected] Send it as a gift and please put a note in it about the benefit race. That way I can make sure it goes to the right place/person
  8. Any donations can be sent to me in form of check or paypal. Or you can send a check to the KOI group in my brothers name. Send me a message for more detailed information such as address or paypal info. I checked with KOI and this is how they wanted to do it even though I didn't want anything sent to me, (makes me feel like people think I am trying to make money off my brothers misery or something like that) But if it helps him, I will get over my feelings about the issues
  9. You can make a donation to my paypal account and it will be forwarded to the KOI group. Or you can make a check out to him and mail it to the KOI group. or to me. You have options and anything is appreciated.
  10. He was wearing jeans, His helmet, boots and t-shirt. Track was '200 fair track. So originally set up for pulling trucks, so fairly hard pack. This was at the Gallatin Co. fairgrounds in Ky. J-Madd, I will try to get that information to you ASAP Thanks to all, your concern is appreciated.
  11. Hey guys, this is my first post mainly because I don't have a banshee anymore. I actually own a Raptor700. My brother used to have a banshee that he raced. My brother and I run dirt drags with a couple of promotional groups in the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana area. To name them, one is Wolfe Bros racing. The other is KOI drag racing. We also run Lil Sandy and a few biker club field meets here in Ohio. I am bringing this to your attention because we had a race last Saturday May 25th in Glenco Kentucky. My brother was making a pass with his YFZ and the slack adjuster tab on his swingarm broke and slung him and the bike into a concrete wall. He broke 2 vertebrae in his back, broke his right shoulder blade, and fractured his left wrist. Now after an injury like that it is safe to assume that he won't be able to work for at least a year, at least not in his profession as a welder. The KOI dragracing group is holding a benefit drag race for him this Saturday June 1st. I am trying to drum up as many participants as possible. Please get ahold of me via PM, facebook (chas spires) or even better through facebook (koidragracing racing). Again thanks for reading and hope to see you at the tracks. https://www.facebook.com/koidragracing.racing?fref=ts
