I ordered the Motion Pro Terminator clutch cable today. I bought a throttle cable for the 2:1 carb from toomey a few days and got it today, and the damn thing is about 4 inches too short. I had to order the right one from Terry Cable today so I'm waiting on that too. I really hope its just the cable that needs replacing and nothing internal, cuz now I'm broke.

I think the problem was not holding the throttle wide open. I didnt know thats how you do it.

So your saying my compression isnt actually bad?

I checked my compression for the first time tonight and the tester said each cylinder was at 120#. How can that be right? With 20cc domes and running at 500ft above sea level I would think I would be around 160#. When I took it apart a couple months ago for the porting and head, the pistons looked pretty new. Could it be a false reading because I have -2 pegs and cant really get a good kick on it?

Ok guys, I am totally stumped. I took the cable off the cluth perch and just had if off the side of the quad. I felt the pull and it was nice and easy. So I figured it was just because something was caught or kinked or something or oiling it loosened it up. Just to make sure I put the cable back onto the perch (the cable is long enough for it come out from the left side, rap around the right side and come back and hook back up, so the cable was outside of the quad, just going around the plastic) and it was just how it should be. So I said awesome and took it off the perch again and rapped it through the frame the way its supposed to go, hooked everything back up, pulled it, and its hard as hell again. It must be something with how its bending going through the frame or something. I dont know what to do, any ideas?

What do you mean by slipping the clutch. I may have revved it once or twice but nothing major.

Looks awesome. I am loving the fenders. Do you ever snag your cloths on the flames or anything. It looks trick but it looks like it would be pretty fragile too.

I went out and fired up the shee for the first time since I went riding Sunday, and when I pulled the clutch in to take off I noticed that it is very stiff. I'm not sure if this happened while riding or whiling power washing it afterward. I tried adjusting it on the handlebars and sprayed WD40 on everything on the motor and it is still stiff as hell. Its almost to the point that I can barely pull it in while sitting on it. Why is it so stiff? If it matters, it was muddy the last time I rode it, but I cleaned it as soon as I got home.

My pipes dont seem to seal up real tight and usually leak some gas. I know I could use exhaust tape but I am wondering about o-rings. I have the one o-ring on each pipe, and I have one of those boxes with a bunch of different sizes in it. My question is will any o-ring work, or will a normal one just melt to the exhaust or motor??

Where did you buy your jets from and how much were they?

I love that show. I dont think I have ever laughed harder than I did when they had like a 400lb lady on there on the rolling logs lose her balance and slam her face into one of those logs.

I think the main difference between bikes and quads with twist is that you actually lean on a dirtbike, so your pretty much always squared up with the throttle. On a quad you are turning the handlebars more so your wrists are always at an odd angle.

If I would have tried to reach for the clutch I probably would have fell off the back of it or turned sharp right. When it happened I was just frozen, I couldnt move a muscle in my body until I hit the ground. I might have actually kept it on there for a while and tried to get used to it, but not after this. Its not me I'm worried about hurting, its the quad and other people that might be in the way the next time.

I thought about that, but I really dont like the look of chrome or shiny stuff. For some reason I feel like dune/drag bikes should have all the chrome and bling bling, but I am into mx so I am looking at the silver vain and translucent blue.

I thought I would get used to the twist, I have been riding dirtbikes since I was 7. On a dirtbike I am fine, but obviously not on a fourwheeler. The worst part about it all is thinking about how most of the time there are more people there, one of those people could have been on the track when I flew across it. I would have felt like shit if I would have plowed into somebody.

Colors I am thinking about tearing the shee down and having the frame and swingarm powdercoated, but I cant decide what color I want. Check out the link above for all the colors and look at my pic. I am leaning towards silver vain but would like to have a color that would stand out more, but not look stupid with blue fenders and nerfs. What color do you guys think would look the best.

Went riding today at my local track, I had been there about 5 minutes, just long enough to get it warmed up, and took it out on the track. I went around one berm fine, then after the straight on the next berm, since I wasnt used to the damn twist throttle, I went WOT on accident, went sideways down on to flat ground and all at once the tires just got traction and boom, I took off. I was getting pulled so damn hard I couldnt let off the throttle, I hit the table top that is right after that turn completely sideways, flew onto the part of the track that goes right along the part I was on, slammed into the backside of a takeoff ramp, jumped it, went into what is like a ditch between 2 sections of the track, hit a bump, then hit the other side of the ditch. I was going probly 30 when I hit the ditch and the shee threw me off it and i landed on my stomach and slid about 5-10 feet on my chest protector. Thank god I was wearing my tether or the shee would have kept going, ramped the hill going up into the parking lot, and slammed right into the porta potty. I felt like such a jackass when 4 people just caming running out to me to see if I was alright. I was dazed, didnt quite know where me or the quad was, but not hurt. All together I crossed 3 different sections of the track before getting thrown off.

I know exactly how you feel, I am also 15 and just got my banshee back together after getting porting done, switching carbs, pipes, etc. My dad is the same way, he would just shake his head and say I cant believe your wasting all your money like this whenever I told him about what I was doing. Well I got it back together, got the jetting nice and perfect, and let him ride it. First time he hit the powerband it almost threw him off the back of it, and when he came back all he would say was "holy shit". Thats when I asked him if he still thought I was a dumbass.

That is going to be a steal for someone because of the typo in the title. For the last few days I have been searching ebay for 2 into 1 stuff, looking for a throttle cable, and that is the first time I have seen that auction.
