  1. I dunno banshee04le, I couldnt believe the shit I had tonight. Got 4 of us f*cked off a dime. Has anyone tried any of this? Its supposed to be legal but the real question is how good is it?
  2. I personally think that the system that is set up over on the ATV Connection forums is best. Over there, its free to anyone, but you can pay $15 a year, become a supporting member, get 5x the regular amount or PM's, twice as many photos in your album, and get a hat and stickers. The supporting members(I am one) get extra priveledges (sp?) like having access to the video forum and for sale forum. You would be amazed how many people become supporting members just to have the icon by their name letting everyone know they support the site. I am 15, and I think the bullshit about weeding out the young kids on this site is pretty damn stereotypical. I know there are plenty of 14 and 15 year olds on here that are more mature and handle themselves better than some people twice our age.
  3. It is an stage 3 mx port job. I doubt I will have the timing advanced or flywheel lightened. Right now I am looking for at changing pipes and having the swingarm shortened.
  4. Dont know what size stock rims are but I have a set of Holeshots and Turf Tamers for 8 inch wheels.. PM me a price if your interested in selling....
  5. I like Keihin's better than Mikunis because you can change the main jet without taking off the bottom of the float bowl. Performance wise, I think they are about the same. Edelbrock does make 4-stroke carbs, at least for a yfz(and they are expensive as shit) but not 2-stroke carbs.
  6. Send some pics to [email protected]. Would you be willing to sell rather than trade?
  7. How long are the shocks? I think most stock shocks are either 15" or 17" and long travel are 19". If the cannondal shocks wont fit on the shee, you might need to get long travel a-arms.
  8. I have some Gnarly pipes I would be willing to trade. Do you have a pic and is it the whole pipe or just the header?
  9. I have been talking to another forum member about the problem with my power being too snappy, and he suggested I get a 2 into 1 pipe. I am just trying to get a few more opinions before I spend the $$. Right now I have v-force reeds and I know that they are more of a top end reed, would they make my power peaky?? I am looking to get the widest powerband possible on bottom end, so would you suggest me trading the reeds for a different kind or trading the Gnarlies for a 2 into 1 pipe?
  10. I cant tell you if they will work or not, probly not. But, there is no such thing as a +2 shock. The shocks you would run on stock length a-arms are the same size as you would run on +2 a-arms, just with stiffer springs.
  11. Dennis Kirk, carbparts.com, and magicracing.com should all have what your looking for. I have never bought anything from magic racing but I prefer Carb Parts over Dennis Kirk because the people working there actually know their shit,, you say you need a 290 main and thats what you get. With Dennis Kirk you have to give them the part # or none of the all women that work there know what the hell your talking about.
  12. Will advancing the timing give me a broader powerband on the bottom end? I just dont understand why my power is so damn peaky, every mod I have done since I have had it has been to get more low end and wider powerband. I rode another banshee yesterday with just pipes and its power came on nice and smooth. The only thing that I can think of that would be causing the peaky power is the v-force reeds????
  13. Ive tried putting pics up in the gallery a few times, but even after making a new name it still wont work...
  14. I am thinking about getting my swingarm shortened(if mrmatt still does it). I am just wondering whether I should have it shortened 1 or 2". I do not want it to be a wheelie monster, just better traction for mx. I am leaning towards just 1". What would you guys with shortened swingarms suggest. My second question is about flywheels and advancing the timing. I would like to have a faster rev and a little bit more bottom end(wider powerband). I am not looking to get into the motor much more than I already have, so how hard is it to get the stator and flywheel off? Between advancing timing and lightening the flywheel what would be a better mod to do? I have also heard that advancing the timing will raise your compression???
  15. For mx, I like the 2 into 1 carbs better. If your going to get a 2 in 1 get the 35mm and if you want to stick with duals look for 28-30mm's.
  16. After riding mx today I think I will leave the sprocket alone. But I noticed when I was leaving my left peg is starting to bend and I cant tell if the right is or not. These are -2 pegs and they are powdercoated. I dont see how they could bend but my stockers didnt. Has anybody else had this happen? I think I'm going to find a strong piece of steel, drill a hole in it, wedge it in between the footpeg and the frame, and put a big bolt through the hole in the peg and through that, and hopefully that will make it stronger and less prone to bending more.
  17. Finally got all my shit back together today, got it jetted right and got to do some riding in a T-SHIRT!! Anyway.... Right now I am running stock front sprocket, and riding it on the road, I go through the gears in about 5 or 6 seconds. I am going to the track tomorrow to test it out and see if I need to go up a tooth in the front, but from my riding today I am thinking I need to. My question is, does the entire stator cover have to come off just to get to the sprocket?? I looked at the cover and as far as I can see its all one piece but hopefully I'm wrong......
  18. I am running the CV system with a 35mm and v-force reeds as well, and I love it. It really helps everywhere, but the real inphasis on where the power hits is really all in what pipes you have. When I had T-5's before the Gnarlies, I thought that having the 2:1 carb would kind of even things out, I would get the best of both bottom and top end. Instead, the carb kit gave it even more of a lightswitch powerband and the top end hit was amazing. What I'm trying to say is the power of this setup is going to improve the greatest in the area the pipes are designed for(low end or top end).
  19. Shit, I ordered from dennis kirk before I read that. I ended up getting 4 mains and 6 pilots I think. It came to $50 and I payed the $25 for overnight shipping so I would have them by this weekend.
  20. Thanks banchetta. I was just looking on dennis kirk's website and they sell a 5 pack of main jets for $20 but the closest set they have is 170-180, but I could always just buy the 168 seperate. Since everyone that works there "24/7" are chicks that dont know shit about shit, I have to wait and call tech support tomorrow just to find out what kind of carb those packs are for. I'm going to call carbparts.com too and see how their prices compare. Anything else I should do or any other sites I should check?
  21. I need to order new jets for my 35mm pwk but I'm not sure what to get. Right now I have a 178 main in there, and that seems to be the best right around 40-50 degrees. Even in 50 degree weather the low end seemed a bit sluggish but I cleaned it up a little bit with the air/fuel screw. I got in there and it has a 60 pilot, which seems way to big to me. I am under 500ft above sea level and my mods are in the sig. I am looking to get jets to cover me for this summer(70-90 average). What mains and pilots would you suggest buying??
  22. I know you said you would be riding in dunes the whole time, but if you EVER might be riding in water or any wet conditions I would consider a Uni foam filter. I used to have a K&N clamp on and I would go through a puddle and my engine would bog down from the filter getting wet, so I got a foam filter and I can ride in the rain without a problem now.....
  23. Haha, I know, alright I put all them smaller pieces together and got to the part with the boxes and smiley face key pad. I'm too tired to think, but I will get up in the morning and be right back here to waste away more of my life trying to get out of this damn thing.
  24. Now I am in the house part, I caught the wood on fire and put it back into the fireplace, all I have now is the triangle thing.....
  25. Yeah i got that now, once you the head and the 3 tiles, click on the ball of the bridge thing, it will lift up, and you put the tiles into there, it makes a maze thing. Thats where the left and right come out 2 and the middle comes out one. I have the little head in there now, how do I get him out? Oops, never mind, you dont get him out, put the bridge down and move on.
