  1. You can get them for the 33mm's, you need to measure the filter side of the carb and find the diameter of it. It should be somewhere in between 2" and 2 1/2", then call up rocky mountain and ask what part number the X" K&N filter is and order it.
  2. Holy shit, bids over $1,000 for pieces of a wrecked car.
  3. I think he meant to ask whether he should go with a +2 swingarm and stock axle or a +4 swingarm with a +2 axle....
  4. All I need is the stock clamps.
  5. I did, and he said he had to leave, but didnt end up leaving for another half an hour.
  6. I went to a riding party today with the Shee andh theres this guy there with a STOCK Predator, and he comes over and says, nice bike you got there, I raced a guy who had $11,000 into his banshee motor and beat him by 100yds. Then his friend comes over and says, you telling him about you beating the kid with 14,000 into his motor?? He says yeah, then he goes on to tell me that my gear ratios and rpm range would not allow me to beat him. Of course the whole time he is talking shit his predator is strapped to the bed of his truck. I was so pissed I was beat red in the face, and about to lay into the stupid fucker, but I held myself back. Just needed to vent... BTW, I would like to know, is it even possible to put $11,000 in aftermarket parts into the motor??
  7. Powerton(Midwest Generation) in Pekin is 200ft above sea level. I would think the 110 octane would be plenty, I've got 20cc and am pushing 140#. My grandparents live by a cropdusting airport and are long time friends with the owner, so I may be able to get some AV gas for cheap.
  8. Wow, if your boots are melting to your pipes you must be running really hot. The only time I was running hot enough to melt anything to the pipe was when I was low on coolant and running wide open down the road.
  9. What kind of oil do you guys run in your filters?? Is it a special kind of oil or will any oil work? I am also running a clamp on w. outerwear so should I be oiling the filter or not?? Thanks.
  10. If foam filters restrict air flow its not enough to have to change jetting on. I switched from K&N to Uni and checked the plugs after each run and they looked the exact same the bike felt the exact same.
  11. I would definitely not do it either. Another thing to think about is your going to be rebuilding your top end twice as much, because you will have to do both cylinders seperately. You do a top end rebuild on one cylinder, sometime in the near future the other one is going to need it. I say do them both now, so you can keep doing them both at the same time in the future.
  12. Unless you ride in water and mud alot, I would suggest the clamp ons. Just like knight, I have never had a problem with the filter getting wet and bogging. I have tried both a K&N and a Uni foam filter and I prefer the Uni better. I could hit a puddle and it would bog with the K&N, but the foam filters hold up much better to water and mud, whereas the K&N's are supposedly the best choice for sandy riding. I guess its all about preference.
  13. Lets think, nobody buys gas May 19 and the oil industry loses X billion dollars. Then, the next day, when prices are up 50 cents, the oil industry will have gained that money back and then some. Instead of doing things to try to lower the price of gas, we should be pushing car manufactures to make more fuel efficient cars, which in the long run seems to be the more logical route to take instead of having national "no gas" days. Just my .02
  14. Whats your elevation? I am 0-500 ft above sea level and on a ported motor I am running a 175 main, 50 pilot, and middle clip on the needle.
  15. Wow, I would like to know how fast the guy was going to have ripped the car into that many pieces.
  16. Tomorrow afternoon I will be putting my new swingamr back on, and I need to know what all the torque rating are. I need to know the # for the swingarm rod that goes through the frame, the bolts that mount the carrier to the swingarm, for where the wishbone connects to the frame, and where the shock bolts to the wishbone. If you know any of those, let me know. Thanks.
  17. I bought the Shee with them on there so I couldnt tell you anything about a warranty. From the feedback I got from the guys on here I wasnt going to get as much out of it as I would have liked if I sold it. So I decided to keep it, and right now I'm in the process of putting on the swingarm I outbidded you for..
  18. I am looking for a dynoport or motofast 2 into 1 pipe in good condition. I would be willing to trade Gnarlies for the pipe + cash.
  19. I have +3's and love them. They seem to have held up very well. My banshee is also on their site.
  20. Banchetta, are you saying go richer or leaner on the needle?
  21. 210 shipped for the Gnarlies.
  22. You dont really need to torque them, but if you do its 7.4 foot pounds I think. I just use a quarter inch socket and tighten them all down, not as tight as you can get them, but snug.
  23. sheerider, my paypal is [email protected]. banshee- You still want the Gnarlies? make an offer
  24. I think you offered me $60 shipped earlier, I'll take that.
