what do you guys think of 16/40 gearing for a passion stroker with cpis and 34mm carbs? too much gear? i mostly ride woods/open fields/fireroads/pavement.......just looking for an all around decent gear..... also, does anyone know what size chain i need for this gearing on a stock swingarm? thanks

not really looking to part it out, would like it all gone in one shot....im not sure what to really ask for a price....its all brand new, never run.....so anyone interested feel free to post an offer.....oo and i edited the original post with stuff i forgot to post....it also has a full set of amradillo skid plates

tossing around the idea of sellig my banshee. has a HUGE list of mods that include: motor: passion 12 port 4mm stroker forged internals noss head with 18cc domes hinson clutch basket and plate cpi in frame pipes billet impellor shift star mod +4 timing plate lightened flywheel barnett clutch with 3 heavy springs delta 2 reeds pj 34mm carbs with k&n clamp on custom wiring harness Chassis: gusseted frame powder coated frame/swingarm/dogbone/steering stem/axle housing full set of black maier race cut plastics chrome grill avs levers dual throttle cable throttle/brake chrome caps renthal bars ac propegs gforce +4 axle ims front bumper all new bearings/covers grease zerks in axle housing and swingarm rims: 2 sets of stock rims with itp holeshots/realtors plus alot more i am forgetting the bike has not been ran at all with this set up.....i am about to finish up the project and decided it might be better to sell it and finish my other project. there is definitly alot more that i forgot to list. i have spent a small fortune in this bike and it will make a great all around bike for someone not looking to start from scratch...no expense was spared in the build.....it was a labor of love i dont have many pics on this computer...only one midway of the build......i will entertain SERIOUS OFFERS ONLY. here is my one pic i have....can take more pics if i have any offers:

what size chain should i use with a 16 front and a 39 rear? also do you guys recommend x ring over o ring? thanks

i just dont see why i cant take my 80 wheel hp trail bike change the gearing and do OK in the 1/4.....not looking for a super low time maybe just an 11 is great......than come home change my sprockets and chain and be ready to ripp up the fields

i believe the biggest sprocket you can run on a case saver is a 15t

hmmm so lets say i have 2 sets of sprockets...one 18/38 for the drag and another for the woods and playing around the fields. what size should my second set of sprockets be so i can use the same size chain?

how is 18/38 while playing around on the trails and messing around in the fields?

wow thats sounds great.....not really looking to strip the bike down though...mid/low 11's would be great. what gearing do you suggest i run?

what 1/4 mile time do you guys think a 4mm stroker with supporting mods can put down? quick mod list: 4mm ported stroker, +4 timing, c16, cpi's, pj34mm's, 18cc domes......

is there a link or a formula that would tell me what size chain i need for the sprockets i want? i am looking into 16/40.....maybe 17/40

ok guys...took a major major break from my build....now its time to get it going again......anyway i have the passion stroker setup and pj34mm carbs. just wondering what jet size would be the best to start with? i am at sea level and its about 40-60 degrees outside. i have: 152, 160, 165, 170 mains 55, 50 pilots

i am not saying all those mods will cost 1500 i am just saying you will want to do other things once you see other things are done.

see a bunch of chrome ones on ebay. guess powdercoating would hold up ok...or just get some propeg nerfs like i did

i think i decided to just do 15 38 and run a tm case saver with 20 inch tires

well this is from experience on my part: if you only want to spend 1200...price out what you want for like 7-800 there are always things that pop up that you may need to add or want to change while "your in there" so if your spending 1200 plan to spend at least 1500. or it could be just me...

the ones i bought from ebay were sealed on both sides and fit right in. got them for like 20 bux with seals

ok i guess ill mave to do some more modifications....hey wes you think ill be ok with 16-39 with a passion stoker. im looking for a good all around gear i can drag against my buddies in the field/sand and still be able to kick ass in the woods.
