long shot but oh well, how about your rear hubs? Are your splines stripped? I have the same clutch and she bites hard. usually adjustment. pull the cover off and check around. recently mine was hanging up. come to find out that the circlip that goes on the end of the counter shaft holding the idler gear flew off. Could of been real ugly if it wondered where it didn't belong with everything spinning. Goodluck.

PM me with your lowest offer shipped to 20657. Are they dented at all or just surface rust? -
Very interested for a friend of mine. Do you have all the mounting hardware? My zip is 20657

Stitch it up, tape it up or whatever to hold it together and if you don't like how she looks smack a big HQ sticker across it.

I'm using my sock lugs np problem. That store sounds like the one near me. You wouldn't by any chance live in SO Maryland.? If so, yeah they are retards and will charge you out the ass if they can. Example, kid I Know said he paid close to $24.00 for a special racing spark plug for his dirtbike from them.

If you really have to let her go part her out to make the most out of it. Goodluck

will stock shocks fit +2 A-arms?
NickyPap replied to Fireroad Express's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have quicksand +2+1 arms with works shocks stock lenght I also have quicksand -2 swinger with stock shock because I haven't been able to find an extra $600 for an aftermarket shock and of course that's at stock lenght also. Just check with the type of arms your buying what lenght they call for because if you order shocks you will need to know what lenght anyways. But to fully benefit from your new suspension you need to toss those stock shocks. If you can't afford the shocks try to atleast snag a pair of used yfz450 shocks. hope this helps a little -
If you have your Banshee stick and its stripped and if you have a raptor stick in hand just compare there lenght. The threads are most likely the same you just need to make sure that they read the same as each other (lenght). The stock ones suck and are very easy to cross thread. Look on Ebay for a nice billet one. I don't thnik that was such a dumb ? and if it was big deal you gotta ask to get answers.

Found a loose circlip behind my clutch cover.
NickyPap replied to NickyPap's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Well I've been thinking about that little circlip since Sunday and just didn't feel good. That thing was in there from somewhere so I figured I better waste some more fluid and pull it back apart again. It says in the Clymer's on page 171 that the idler gear should spin freely. Well it doesn't spin at all! And even worse you can wobble it back and forth and I can see that it is missing that circlip that I have all bent up. And on top of it all I'm missing the washer that goes in between the gear and the circlip! I guess they forgot to put that on and with that bit of slop the gear must of bent and threw the circlip to the bottom of the cover. I slid the cover back on and loaded her up. She's going back to the shop where they can pull my basket off and put it back together right. I think I was pretty lucky nothing came apart the few times I have rode it since I've had it back from the shop. Anyone know why my idler gear does not spin? -
tag bars to 20657? Thanks

Found a loose circlip behind my clutch cover.
NickyPap replied to NickyPap's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
...well I got it back together and I think it's OK. Seems to be shifting strong. But now I have another issue. Seems to want to rev a bit high. Maybe a air leak? Maybe my slides? Always something Well I hope that circlip did not belong in there because if something comes apart I'm in trouble! I really won't know unless I rip everything apart more than I did. Any guesses? -
Well my clutch was having some troubles. Slipping and sometimes not engaging. replaced the clutch cable and it helped alot because the old one was gunked up. Well rode it hard thru the gears and every once in a while it would slip and catch. got back home and pulled the cover off.everything looked good arrow lined up no shavings but found a circlip all bent up inside. It was at the bottom of the case but if it could of worked it's way up around the gears I think I could of had a mess. It looks like the circlip that goes on the idler gear at the end of the counter shaft but I think I can see one on there already. I recently had my bike worked on and don't know if they accidently dropped one in there or maybe this worked it's way off from somewhere. Would this have anything to do with my clutch problems or do you think it's more in the adjustment. Also, the lever on that holds the bottom end of the clutch cable seemed to be a bit bent up and rubbing against the bottom of the left carb so I lightly bent it down enough to clear. unfortanately, I do not have the proper tools to remove my basket. All the screws holding my hd springs are tight too. Any help would be appreciated as usual THANKS!

I like those lights! Check your pm. -
I removed mine and wondered if anyone had any use for it or possibly more room in there trash can than me.
-
the brackets are tabs that are welded to the frame. Unless your talking about the rubber gromets that keep the lights tight and from raddling-if so, I have a handful of those. let me know. I'll hook you up
