  1. Sorry, should have been a little more clear.... I need something I can use for trails, paddles arent very useful for me.
  2. I dont like the cracked look which is why I'm asking for tips on how to fix it. I also dont like the cut look which is why I didnt do that.
  3. I dont really like the look of the rear plastic cut. But my front is race cut!
  4. Ok, anyone else have tires/rims for sale?
  5. I have a nice 6 inch crack on my rear plastics that I want to fix. I like the plastics and dont want to spend the money to get new ones so I was hoping that I could fix it. A product such as an epoxy or glue would be perfect... is there anything out there that works? Is there any reason a clear epoxy would not work? I did a search but the only advice I found was to either duct tape the underside or buy new plastics.
  6. Just cut my fronts... drew a nice straight line with a dry erase board marker and took the hacksaw to it. Afterwards I cleaned it up with the dremel to make it nice and smooth. I took my time on it and went slowly but still took less than 10 minutes to do it.
  7. I have a red 01 that runs perfect. Good compression on both cylinders, starts 1st or 2nd kick even in this cold weather. The only flaws are a crack in the rear plastics, a tear in the seat cover, and the tires are a bit worn. I had fullbore plastic on it but sold it and put these plastics on since the appearance never mattered much to me. Also, it has Toomey T5 pipes, an adjustable timing advance, and a K&N airfilter. I'm the 2nd owner and have had it since 2002. I'm asking $3200 and located in Plainfield, IL.
  8. I'm looking for a full set of plastics. I'm open to most colors, provided that the plastics are in good condition. However, I have a set of red now and dont want another red set. Pics needed.
  9. Any idea what the shipping would be?
  10. You'll probably get more if you part that thing out. There are a few parts I want if you decide to do that...
  11. got any pics? how much tread left? do they hold air? dents? how much is your total cost shipped to 60544?
  12. Looking for a set of rear wheels with or without tires, any size is OK. No gold. Located near Chicago.
  13. Ok, after posting I actually went and completely removed the main wire harness and took off all the tape and checked each wire and connection, cleaned them, then re-taped it and covered with a nice wire cover. I only saw one ground, located near the tail-light. After putting everything back together I regained power to the one headlight that worked before, so that must have been caused by a bad/dirty connection. Tomorrow I will take off the flywheel and check the connections near around the stator. I dont have a stator I can borrow to try your other idea out though. If I dont see any problems around the stator can I just splice the wiring from the one headlight to power the other one?
  14. Ok, I completely removed the wire harness that runs from the taillight to the front of the quad and took all the tape off of it. The good thing is that it looks mint. All the factory splices look mint, all connectors seem good, etc. I'm going to re-wrap it and put it back on. The only other thing that I can think of would be the wire harness that runs from the handlebar down the front. I briefly checked that out yesterday and it seemed OK though. Any other thoughts? The quad runs perfectly other than this.
