by this time next week i will be dune seein beer ... count em 7 more days... whew long time.
speakin of time is it my computer only that says the time is like 4 hours ahead.
heads have nothing to do with the air fuel ratio. your fine.. dont touch it.
now if you change
airfilter
pipes
port
reeds
carbs
think thas it..
then change those jets
drop the front again if... dont touch the rear...
think your main prob is those tires.. there some heavy mofos
1 tooth in the front = 3 teeth in the rear
im runnin similar setup.. im at sea level .. ive got pc pipes.. ported pods and v force.. those are the only things i have that effect the air fuel ratio. i've got a 420 main air screw turned out .5 from seat and needle in stock place with a 25 pilot. runs like a champ i pull 17 front tooth sprocket with no probs bogging.
as for that after market needle ya got there.... sounds a little lean to me.. try going down one clip on the needle move it towards the tapered side one clip.
they fit a 20" wheel .. preferably a 20x10
f250 with a 8" lift
gm with a 10" atleast
dodge with a 8" lift
and all other need about a 13" lift to clear these
open up that carb.. take the pilot out.. get a needle and poke the opening. clean er out. then make sure your carbs are sync.
does it rev or blow better at higher rpm .. like if you rev it up that cylinder finally decides to "fire" like it should?
for sale or trade another set of tires. going to a smaller tire lookin to trade or sell.
$1700 shipped retail for these tires is $571 each thats almost 2300$
EDIT: and no i will not trade for some lil car tires or some vw bug stuff.. lol.. trade for some 35" - 37 toyos / nittos for a 20" wheel and some cash
maybe... but you want a lot more then i have... hehe.. plus wont i loose my bottom end with those big mofos. i was thinking maybe some 33's. although since i am on a 16t i could go down a t and keep some bottom torque,,, hrmmmm
ive got about the same mods as you man and i run a 16t front.. only diff with me is i have a small port and 19cc domes v force but i run a 16t front and it still pulls like a mofo and i start in 2nd too... i've ran around the track with it and tires still spinnin.. but i dont have bigger carbs.. mine are stock with a 420 main.. haha i said 420!!
the machinist puts it on a lathe and like a set of rotors he shaves off some metal and it gets lighter.. i know duh right.. then ya slap that baby back in there and it helps with quicker throttle response.. i dont know how much i didnt do mine when i did the timing plate.
