  1. QUOTE (locogato11283) Posted: Mar 11 2004, 01:20 PM QUOTE (SANDSTAR @ Mar 10 2004, 05:35 PM) THE ABOVE POST WAS FROM GOT1BANSHEE TO ME ON DEC 14. The design does kick ass.... too bad you copied it. You could have changed it up a little to be diffrent. Flames on seat are all wrong. BUST OUT MY PROPS, SUCKA. YOU GOT CAUGHT. i suppose got1 stole your idea to get a banshee too?? he must have stole your idea to put performance parts on too. who really gives a f*ck. if got1 stole your design or copied it or whatever, then you should be happy you started a new trend, not whining about it. im sure im not the first to put a cr500 engine on my banshee, and if someone else did it, i wouldnt throw a temper tantrum about it. chill out and grow up. -------------------- Locogato, I agree that Dirtrider is a jackass, but you are a hippocrit. I hope to see you at Olds this thanksgiving so I can hand your ass to you.
  2. Buttercup is pretty cool. It is way laid-back and family friendly. Lots of outhouses at Midway, less traffic, more flat areas for kiddies to buzz around on. Dunes are smaller, but still a blast. There is a cool little resturant called Pair-A-Dice to the south/across the highway (there is an overpass to get across on). Glamis is about a 30 min dune ride East of Pair-A-Dice. Go here if you want to introduce new riders to the duning scene.(CHICKS)
  3. A boost bottle will give you 7.4 additional Hp. Mostly bottom-end. I put two on my banshee because I needed 14.8 Hp to help me pull stumps out of my yard.
  4. como say amah, mama!
  5. I really get mad when someone messes with my wife. I started thinkin' about how I would have handled the situation, and all I can come up with is running his ass down in 6th. Good for you that you gave him a punch stain. Don't mess with a dude's wife. It's a good way to get real dead, real quick.
  6. Polaris 400 sport(kinda drunk) Yammy Golf Cart (really drunk).
  7. My wife says Corona makes me smell like a Federali. I wonder how she knows what a Federali smells like........
  8. Carlin for pres? That Liberal jerkoff couldnt wipe his own ass, let alone lead the free world. I want the oil. I don't care how we get it. I am a rich American and my forefathers died for our right to rule the world. I'm about ready to show up at Glamis this year with 500 gallons of Roundup for those damn milkvetches. Maybe we should take a hint from the liberals and peacefully protest by riding all over every square inch of the Imperial Sand Dunes. If no one payed the fees, no one could get arrested. If we shot Illegals with paintballs, maybe they would think twice before walking into our country... They can't arrest us all. We need to take our country back. Taking a deep breath......
  9. Damn... a lotta cheep beer being drank in here. I feel rich drinking my Rolling Rock. I try to steer clear of the cheap beer and expensive women.
  10. I think the truck is ready for a chop-top and 20" rims.
  11. Talk it out over some beers.
  12. I will be easy to find the HQ guys. Just look for the Banshees that are beating everyone else!
  13. Right on fellas. To each their own. Half of the fun of owning a Banshee, for me, is the chance to come up with my own mods and do as much as I can by myself. I am a perfectionist (sometimes this isn't a good thing) and prefer to do my own porting. I am willing to accept success or failure, as long as I am the one who is responsible. You will not get mirrored exhausts like squish unless you do them yourself. That is a labor of LOVE. Keep on keepin' on.
  14. I'll be wearing a "SHOW YOUR TITS" t-shirt all week long on both holidays.
  15. The West is best. Head West, Young man! GLAMIS
  16. 909, Read the title of the thread. He wants to know if it can be a DIY project. I say yes. I had my bike dyno tuned before the porting, and dyno tuned after I did my own porting. I am not a "pro porter". I did not have $1200 tools or $530 software. If you need that stuff to get the job done, go for it. I am here to say I gained 13 hp by porting my bike myself. I gained more from the porting than I gained from aftermarket pipes. You must make a living porting bikes. You have every reason to put forth the idea that porting is a "science" By chance you wouldn't be protecting your source of income would you? One things for sure, You and every other "pro" out there aren't running software on every set of jugs that comes in. The three hun you all charge pays for Jose and a bunch of dremmel bits to hog 'em out just like the weekend warrior. I spent my three hun on a bore job and superlites. I've seen Trinity work. It looked like someone was stoned when they ported those things. The race logic templates are already "computated" and sized for a trouble-free operation. No need to worry about those things. If you want more power and you have a modest budget, DIY. You will be suprised how well it works.
  17. quote (909 @ June 28 2004 8:19 am) Give me a friggin break. You ever hear of Glamis? I would not chose a Banshee for "woods riding". But for those that do, matching the sleeves to the casting and cleaning up all the "boogers" and "seams" will get you better power. Porting works. You don't have to go overboard the first time, but it can help ANY type of riding. If someone wants to know and discuss porting with people that are not afraid to see whats inside their motors, and to then improve upon the obvious mistakes inside, and to finally learn why the Banshee behaves the way it does, and to mold the power to suit their particular needs, why would you want to discourage that? You don't need to be a scientist to get 8-12 hp out of the Sport port templates. I am not trying to sell anyone on those damn templates. All I'm saying is that they worked for me. They worked real good and it is the single best mod I have done to my Banshee because I did it. No one else. It is untapped power, and for you to say otherwise makes you a liar.
  18. I've heard those Tacos handle like they are on rails.....I guess it's true.
  19. I love them yugos!
  20. What I ment about the BOMB was, if you had fuel leaking into your floor drain, you will have a bunch of gas sitting in the p-trap. One spark and BOOM! Just flush a bunch of water down it and you will be fine.
  21. Try tightining the swinarm bolt.
  22. Get some aluminum paste polish and a bunch of felt dremmel tips and go to town! Stuff some paper towels inside the carb body and duct tape all the openings closed. Don't polish where the boots clamp on. If you make that area slick, the carbs will slide out of the boots. Post a pick when you are done!
  23. Marvin Shaws are mainly drag shocks. Light weight, usually chromed. For duning, go with a set of Works shocks. You need much more travel than a set of Marvin Shaw shocks.
  24. Buy some depends. Oh yeah, flush a bunch of water down that drain. You're sittin' on a bomb, bro'.
