It really depends on what kind of bike you have. If you have a beater that will need a rebuild sometime in the future, JB it for now and get it welded when you tear it down. If you have a show piece, get it welded now. Nothing like seeing a pimp ride with some jb hanging off of the case. As for the coolant in your oil, I doubt it is coolant. Your oil would drain out foamy white if your oil had coolant in it. Probably just fresh oil.
-
And pray to god you didn't knock a piece of the case inside your bottom end.
-
You have 3 choices. 1-Tear your bike down and take the damaged case to a good welder and get it welded closed. 2-Get some jb weld, drain the oil, clean the hole with some carb cleaner and epoxy it up. 3-get a new case. Whatever you do, get a case saver...........

How To Preserve Polished Cases And Cylinders?
SANDSTAR replied to JasonGOSU's topic in Banshee Appearance
I know a guy with a polished northstar in a deuce. He used zoops on it, on the quick change rearend, and on his rims. He says he hasen't done anything other than keep it clean for about 15 months. I haven't tried it myself, but this guys deuce is as shiny as hell. -
I use hydrofluoric acid to etch quartz glass in order to prepare/clean it for welding. That shit is not to be messed with. Low's does not sell HF. It is highly regulated. A drop of the stuff will soak into your skin and you will not know it untill it attacks the calcium in your bones. It will literally desolve your bones, man. Put a drop on your tounge and kiss your lower jaw goodbye. HF makes muratic acid look like lemon juice. If you got ahold of some HF, Be real careful with it. Better yet, get rid of it. That shit will kill your kid, dog, wife, neighbor, or anything else it comes in contact with. That shit will melt teeth......hint hint.

Try Zoops Seal. It penetrates polished aluminum and keeps it from oxidizing. It is mainly used by the hot rod industry to keep those polished engines shiny. -
The Low Down On Port And Polishing
SANDSTAR replied to sshepherd03's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Right on, mod banshee! Sounds like you have a nice bike. -
Use 0000 steel wool. Anything rougher will scratch the chrome.

Sounds like time to take her in for a tune up by a good shop. That was a long thread covering everything known to man. Forcing it will only make the problem worse. Ask alot of questions when you take it in. Make sure you understand what the problem was and how to fix it the next time it happens. If it dosen't start in a couple of kicks, somthing isn't right. Good luck, and keep those banshee gremlins in Michigan.

Whoops! I just went outside and measured my pits......40'!!!!!!! Sorry bout' that!

The Low Down On Port And Polishing
SANDSTAR replied to sshepherd03's topic in General Banshee Discussion
The racelogic sport port is a great way to go. I did it and it turned out great. But if you want to do take full advantage of a port job, do it this way--- 1- Invest in some good pipes 2- Buy some bigger carbs-34mms at least. 3- Purchase a billet head with interchangable domes. 4- Get a piston kit with high quality pistons that are 1 bore bigger than your curent size-Weisco Prolites are a good bet. With this set up, you might get pretty close to 70 hp. Realistic to expect 50-60. To break the 70 hp barrier, tap those jugs out and put a stroker crank in! -
I think it is 60' from pin to pin. The pits are 3' by 4'. I set mine up a couple of years ago according to the rules book that came with the tourney shoes I bought. RINGER!

This is a supply and demand problem. Tree huggers haven't let anyone build any new refineries in a decade. Hell, they won't even let us upgrade the ones we currently have online. There is PLENTY of crude out there, but no refining capacity. Just ask anyone who has spent time on the coastline in Texas. The shit just bubbles up off of the ocean floor and collects into these huge slicks. I have seen them bigger than a football field. Mexico has HUGE oil reserves. Alaska has a huge reserve as well. The greenpeace dudes are in an all out assault against capitalism. Sierra club types have figured out how to choke out entire industrys by electing liberals that will pass laws in their favor. They don't give a shit about the environment. If they did, Arizona's forests wouldn't burn to the ground every summer.(anti forest management) It isn't the oil companies that are at fault, it is LIBRAL ACTIVIST JUDGES AND THE DAMN DEMOCRATS.

Well, I talked to a lawer (good friend) about this senerio, and it seems that you might be in some trouble. First, if he is under age, he cannot legally enter into a contract without his parent agreeing and signing for him. Second, a vehicle that has a vin number is subject to state law regarding registration. (at least in Arizona) You, as the buyer, have the burden to properly identify if the property you are purchasing is stolen.(title/registration) Pawn shops make you sign paperwork stating that the items you are selling are not stolen. That would have been your saving grace, but the kid was too young to sign. You might want to take the deal, pay the state off and hope they don't charge you with grand theft. Lawers will only bleed you dry for all they can. That is coming from a lawer's mouth. Good luck, your gonna need it. To anyone else, DON'T BUY A QUAD THAT DOSEN'T HAVE A TITLE. THERE HAS TO BE A REASON, AND THAT REASON IS MOST LIKELY THEFT. DON'T SUPPORT THEVES.

Preventative Measures Before Going To The Dunes
SANDSTAR replied to sredish's topic in General Banshee Discussion
What works the best for me is to clean her up real good before I go. Get all the grease and oil off of the motor, clean your filters and use a dry graphite chain lubricant. Sand can't stick to whats clean and dry. -
Just don't spill fuel on the krylon...It will craze real bad. Got1- sellin 'em now huh? You guys should see my sun flame cut. My web cut is pretty dope, too. You have never seen anything like my caddy cut. But those are my money cuts. workin on a jet fighter cut...getting into plastic welding.

you know you are a redneck when you put a winch on a quad that dosen't have a battery.
-
These wouldn't happen to be flame-cut fenders would they?
-
Rip off the whole damn airbox, go with a K&N filter and stay far away from water of any kind.

Right on Dune Demon! I hope to be ready by Thanksgiving weekend. Hope to see you there!

I have a two-seater Spyder on order. (rolling chassis) I was going to put a turbo 2.0 Subaru in it, but I totaled my wife's Tiburon two months ago (trying to drift in a front wheel drive car is hard!) and I am currently trying to see if I can mod the engine/chassis of the spyder to make it work. If I can figure out how to get 300 HP out of a Hyundai engine, I will ditch the Subaru idea and save myself $8000. I bought the car back from the insurance company for $400. They must have not known that there was 5 grand worth of rims/tires/sound system. The engine only has 1200 miles on it.
