havent been on lately but Buttercup is an awesome place to go, especially with kids. the camping area is nice and also harder packed so your less likely to get stuck. its not as crowded and when you take the little ones out in the small sets you dont have to worry about some guy jumping a face and risk injurying you or your child as much. however, if you or the guys in your camp are teens to mid 20's and girl crazy like me, glamis is always fun cuz they are swormed by them and is also fun as long as you take the right safety precautions. hope i helped Jared

i run fatty's and they are sick, they give you more bottom and midrange which is awesome for trails. but now i only do sand dunes so i'm thinking of switching to t5's or t6's.

thats bullshit. if your around 180 or less youll be koo. shit when i was like 120 i rode my old YZ 80 in the dunes of Mother Glamis and it did just fine. you just have to haul ass. and yeah get an 8 paddle and ittl be cool. you need to be smart when riding a smaller engine in the dunes. you will be shifting constantly or else the engine will sieze. but thats common sense. have fun! My friend Steffanie and I are planning a trip to Pismo from the 13th(friday) to the 16th(monday). we are from San Fran area, but i usually ride with a group from the San Diego area at Glamis. this will be my first trip to Pismo and Steffanie tells me they are very small compared to the Imperial Dunes(Glamis, Gordons, Buttercup, etc.). Fannie rides an '02 YZ250F and i ride an '02 Banshee. if you would like to join us, you are more than welcome to, just send a PM, and bring your Rig, your Ride, and some firewood. I heard it gets pretty windy out there in the Summer too, but it should still be badass. anyways, shoot me a PM if your interested. Jared

i have a feeling buttercup will get wilder cuz now comp is closed at night at glamis so everyone will wnat to be at test over at gordons, or comp at buttercup. the dunes are much smaller but its pure sand, not many beer cans. although there is still more than there should be. remember kids, leave your trash get a foot in your ass! if your at buttercup for thanksgiving or new years we should hook up for a ride, we camp on the right side of the road right where the road ends, lots of berms for the kids out there. jared

bleh, it sounds electrical to me. might wanna check the magnito(sp?). i think that could be expensive though. my quad wasnt running cuz i thought it needed new magnito. lol turned out my carb was really dirty. yes ive learned a lot about maintanance since then. jared

well im 16 so of course i love Glamis. nothin better than draggin up Olds on a big weekend, then headin to comp with your friends at night and not comin back to camp till 6, unless you wanna fill up. Well we have a fair amount of old people in our camp now so we pretty much have to stay away from Glamis and now we go to Buttercup. we are at Buttercup for Thanksgiving and Presidents day always, and we go to Ocotillo for New Years. I was wondering if anyone else goes out to Buttercup or Gordons. I always wanted to check out Olgiby, but never got the chance, since i have to drive all the way from San Francisco for my duning fun. By the way, heres a pic of my Shee. i sold my Blaster and my YZ 80 to get it. i got it right before New Years.
