My Sea-doo HX is a pretty trick ski. It's kind of a cross between a stand up and a sit down single rider bike. Very maneverable, light and easy to mod. Too bad I haven't put it in water since I got the Mastercraft........ :biggrin:

I also paid for my brother's Meth rehab-$25000 I chipped in $3000 to make my cousin's house handicapped friendly(Her 4 year old has rhumatoid arthritis) I'm glad to help my family, as I believe familys should stick together. I just feel that the gov. is sucking me dry, and a bunch of people that don't really need the help are the cause. Cut my taxes and let me help my own.

Because of the fact I have been getting up at 4:00am and coming home well after dark for 15 years. Because of the fact that I PAY MY TAXES, and I pay my own way. My wife swore up and down that she was gonna stay home with our daughter when she was born. 5 weeks later, she started singing another tune. Kids are tough. Especially for a professional career woman like my wife. We decided to put our daughter in childcare for 4 hrs a day after 14 weeks so my wife could go back to her job part-time. Trust me, sometimes a stay at home mom isn't the best solution. If mama 'ain't happy, nobodys happy. My wife's older sister manages the day care place that we are sending her to, so it should be all good.

Here in AZ you are lookin' at $75 a Sq Foot for bare bones. And I'm talkin' BARE. If you have never built before, let me give you a piece of advice.... However long you THINK it's gonna take, you are wrong. It will take a third longer if you are lucky. Some trades are too important to do yourself if you have no experience.(Plumbing, flatwork, framing,electrical..ect) Whatever you plan on spending, add a third to it. However tall you plan on making your ceilings, make them higher. Every sq foot in your house does not cost the same. Kitchen and bathroom footage is the most expensive(100-150 a sq), garage and patio footage is dirt cheap(20-50 a sq), so build a big garage! People that agree to help you, before the project starts, always seem to come up with reasons to not help when it comes down to it. Rough-in EVERYTHING. Security, central vac, recirc. and soft water loop, surround sound, flood lighting, smart house, cat 5 (at minimum), sat, pot filler, extra 220's in garage(welder, air comp, ect.) washer dryer hookups in master closet(big in Az right now) switchable eave outlets(christmas lights plug-ins) bench height outlets in garage, hose bibs EVERYWHERE. Hell, I plumbed in hookups for a coffee bar in my master bedroom! It's cheap to rough in stuff on the front end, and it will give you alot of cool projects to do over time.

Yeah, I felt the same way at first. I took pictures of the tracks. My neighbor has video of them riding on his property. Several people have stopped theses guys just to get the finger, and then get roosted on. They have been followed all the way to their houses. The cops say there is nothing they can do until the COPS actually see them trespass. They don't want to see pictures or video. We tried. They will not get off of their quads and go toe-to-toe about it. It's real frustrating. One funny thing that happened Saturday.... It's been raining here in AZ this weekend. One of these douche bags was in a lifted F-250 throwing brodies in the mud on a neighbors lazer leveled lot. Really trenching it up good. The jackass throws a driveline and gets picked up by someone, leaving the truck ON the lot. My neighbor, the owner of the lot, finds this truck and all the damage to his lot. Somehow, someway, someone jumped in a front end loader and removed the truck from the lot. And by removed, I mean flipped the damn thing on it's side and drug it to a nearby bar ditch that had 2 feet of water in it. The chain was attached to the truck through the cab! I guess this is all out war, now. Can't wait to see their retaliation.

They are middle aged burnouts that come ride when no one is there, and go when someone pulls up. IMO, they are pissed that someone is developing the area that they used to ride on.

I have teamed up with my 4 adjacent neighbors. They all have had similar stories to mine. We are all taking turns calling the Sheriff's office to complain about the trespassing. One poor guy had people on quads riding around on a new house slab on his property. All of his plumbing vent pipes were snapped off at the slab, and most of his copper water pipes were bent over flat. The tracks on the slab looked like they were trying to slide sideways and hit pipes. It was a 5200 sq ft slab. Damages, according to his plumber, are gonna run at least $4000.(PT Slab) You can stick to saying "Don't lump all riders in the same catagory", but it dosen't matter what I think. My neighbor says he is gonna go to the Mayor's office to voice his complaints about ATV riders. ALL ATV riders. TMT, are you tellin' me you live in Utah and your not a Mormon?

Cops are not the answer. I see plenty of cops at legal riding areas like Glamis, but I never see one around when I need one. Good riders should not be in the same catagory as jackasses, but to the rest of the non-riding public, riders are riders. If they see abuse, they just shut off the riding areas, which really only leads to more abuse. Cali is trying to halt riding on private property less than 10 or so acres. And even if you have 20 acres, you will need to have dust supression. They can and will do it. Az DEQ is implementing VERY stringent dust control rules, along with tripling the number of enforcement officers. They fine the rider. They fine the property owner. This is their way of dealing with us, all because of bad seed in our riding midst. TMT, you may be a very politically correct person. I'm sure you never stereotype. But you and others of the same mindset better understand this....... We have, as riders, already been stereotyped. Government wants us gone. Enviros want us gone. Landowners want us gone. And after what I have been through in the last few weeks, I really can't blame them.

First off, I don't need any reminders from you. If I feel the need to stereotype, I'll do it, and you will just deal with it. Second off, If a person is farming THEIR land, you can hardly make the arguement that it is the same thing as some jackass zipping down the soft shoulder along a highway. I don't. My closest friends all ride. My family rides. We all own property. We all TRAILER to public riding areas. But that dosen't change the fact that for $2000 anyone can get in on the sport. Good or bad. And believe me, there are plenty of bad, irrresponsible, disrespectful, anti-property rights, idot riders out there. The problem seems to arise from people that don't have any property of there own to ride on, but also don't own a trailer or a truck, so they ride to their riding spot, over hill and dale, across private land, to arrive at some poor sap's private property and ride like hell. This was the problem in my case. And the people riding were probably mid-30s. Let me put it to you this way, when was the last time you saw someone on a quad and thought to yourself, "Wow, that guy is really respecting everyone and everything around him." The last time I saw someone on a quad was yesterday. He was hauling ass down the shoulder of a road, creating an enormous cloud of dust that was slowly blowing over the road. Every driver that I saw looked pretty pissed to have to deal with that.

I have to agree with wallrat. I just dropped $375k on a piece of property. I spent all winter this year chasing off 3 dudes on Banshees. After explaining the concept of "private property" and "personal injury liability", and the fact that I own quads and understand the need to ride,but all the while begging them all to find a more appropriate place to ride, I was called a "dick", I was told to "watch my back, 'cause I was gonna get fucked up" among other threats. SO, I lazer leveled the property, installed six foot block walls and plastered the place with more "no trespass"signs.( all the ones I put up before this were torn down) Yesterday, I recieved a complaint letter and a code ticket for " explicit graffitti" Turns out, according to my new block wall, I am a *****, I'm in the KKK, and am affiliated with some sort of gang, because I have the letters "QCL" in 6 different places. I have 60 days to paint over the graffitti before I get a $500 fine and a few days in the klink. I suspect the people who did the damage called in the complaint. I have really lost alot of passion for the sport since having to deal with this, and I'm sorry to say, I agree the OHV crowd in large part is out of control. It's only a matter of time, now. Jackasses will destroy the sport for the rest of us. Come and try it on my personal property, you god damn punk. I am tired of all you "fuckit" attitude types. The worst part lasted about 3 weeks. I had lingering effects for 6 months or so. I lost about 30 pounds. I highly recommend the pnumonia diet for folks that just can't seem to lose those extra pounds. For those that have never had the pleasure of coming down with pnumonia, its kinda like having the flu, and having someone stand behind you and stick you in the lungs anytime you breathe/sneeze/cough/sniffle/pray for god to put you out of your misery.
