  1. About the traction, I would raise the ride height until it hooks like you want it too. The only problem is that if you get to high the bike wont be very stable at high speeds. It sounds like your bike has potential but you just have to get the chassis tuned in. I have a gas 350, only a 4 over without slicks or wheelie barand I have ran a 7.37 at 88mph,and thats with too much gear.
  2. What are you 60 fting at? I dont want to sound mean or cocky but you should be running about a second faster than that with your mods.
  3. A guy down here that powdercoated his stock arms. He said he ruined his first set, but he said his second set he covered the ball joint with grease so after they were baked, he knocked off all of the cooked grease and he said the ball joint was fine. He runs them now.
  4. You just missed a gear, don't worry about it.
  5. I got my aftermarket chromoly swingarm for 300 bucks. But if Stan's kit comes with the carrier that would definately be the way to go on a tight budget.
  6. Learn to work the clutch, when it starts coming up, ease it in, when it starts to come down, ease it out a bit, takes some practice, but it will help you launch like a rocket once you get it down. I can do it and keep the tires about an inch off the ground then grab another gear and get to rollin
  7. I love our lectrons. We run 34s that came from fast by gast but I would definetely call up Dennis Packard. We run a Packard Lectron on alky on one of our polaris and the carb came spot on. They are super easy to tune, the hardest part is getting the tops off.
  8. I don't know about only pipes but our banshee with only bolt ons (no portwork) runs 4.8s in 300ft at 58-62mph so...
  9. i would get shearer out of frames.
  10. I run one, and it does everything it says it does. Shifts smoother and is easier to find neutral.
  11. Lectrons are awesome. I think they come in all sizes, lol. They are so easy to tune, the only thing that would make rejetting faster would be screw-on tops.
  12. I recomend going with someone else besides trinity and i also wouldnt really worry about the plastics. I say go before show. Also for suspension, since your running asphault you could just get some tubing and cut struts out or buy some adjustable ones. For adjustable struts, I would call marvin shaw, theres look sweet and are very light.
  13. I would start with a frame, and build from there. No matter what though you will want to keep getting faster. For the 1/8 and your first build, I would build a 350 or 4 mill stroker motor, nothing too big or exensive. You will learn as you go the tricks as you go, so dont expect to get out there first time out and run record setting times. LOL, only i can do that j/k
  14. Bone stock?? I would say like a 6.2. Just a guess though.
  15. Faster than high 7s should be possible, my gas 350, 4 over arm, no slicks or bar went 7.37 at 88mph its only pass. Thats with a 1.68 60ft. Good luck with the 450.
  16. What kind of tires were you running? You should be running better than that. My cousin broke a wheel one time, they almost kicked him off the track
  17. I'd go with 8 or maybe even less. With a stock swingarm your not going to want too much traction, and with only t6 pipes 9 or 10 paddle would probaly be too much and would hurt your top end.
  18. Pipes do increase your top speed because most of them rev higher than stock. So with the same gearing but higher revving pipes your top speed will be higher.
  19. 350 on gas, stock frame, no override, inframes- fastest mph is 76.78 on a 4.45 pass. 350 on gas, stock frame, no portwork, no override, fmf fatties(right lane)
  20. SSR did have a 350 that went 3.77, but in LA it ran like a 4.15 while the triple went 3.45 and was going 3.50s consistantly. Thats alot faster. There were some big 14-20 mills running some 3.60s, and most of them were spraying. You dont spend 15,000 to be faster than a 350 though, you pay 15,000 to be the fastest and beat the guy who payed 14.500.
  21. I meant to regear to start in second. Really you need to just keep going until you have what your confortable with. Does your track ever have any test and tune nights, or anything of the sort?
  22. Did you ever try starting in second? That does sound good though, why change it if your winning every time? BTW, What were the rules for the trail mod?
  23. Well, on our gas 350, we run 14/42 with pro-wedges, leave in second and end in 5th, and last race I was running consistant 4.40s with a 4.33. Now, I can't tell you what would be a very good gear to run since I dont know how strong your motor is plus Ive never ran Razrs, but its from my experiences my best times are turned leaving in 2nd, and ending in 5th. Our stock port banshee I was running a 13/39, I ran a 4.799 but I was having to slip the clutch hard to get it to not bog in 2nd, so next race I'll probaly switch to a 13/41. So my opinion is to gear to start in second, whatever that gear may be. Find some dirt thats similar to your tracks, and figure out where to start in second.
  24. Sounds cool. what kind of times did you turn? And what are your motor mods?
