  1. We had that same problem. We tried using a press and it started bending the ears of the sprocket hub out. We had to put the heat to it and still use the torch.
  2. Well it should run pretty well, will this bike ever really see the track or will it sit in the showroom.
  3. I do think his paint was overpriced, but it still looks good. You are right on the seat too, it needs to be shaved down and covered with somethin different. What bore and stroke combo is being run to get 610cc?
  4. You could bore your stock carbs and it would run better. If you feel your going to need to rejet alot, go with some lectrons, a little pricey, but they run good and it takes me a little over 5 minutes to jet if I got the right screwdriver with me.
  5. The paint is awesome, would have looked even better on a one peice hs customs fender. The wheelie bar looks a little short and I don't really like the bottom mount, but it might work okay. Tell us what kind of times it turns if it ever sees the track.
  6. After u turn the needle, you push the needle in and turn it back facing the right way.
  7. This might sound stupid but are you turning the needle one full turn? You can turn them in 1/4 turn increments. Just a thought.
  8. First of all, I dont know what surface you are running on but I would get rid of the Razrs!!! Anyway, i say stretch+wheelie bar. We run a gas 350, drag ported, 34mm lectrons, best time of a 4.42 in 300ft. We run a +4 swingarm, and metal tech 3 1/2 forard a-arms. No wheelie bar. When I took it to the asphault with duros, I ran a 15/40, when I could make it hook( this was before a-arms and shaws), it wanted to come up. It ran 7.60s with this setup (but its got a lot more in it). If you can get a +6 to hook on dirt, go with it and a wheelie bar, probaly a +8 if your running slicks.
  9. Yea it had some good bottom, we didnt know the comp was so high until right before we tore it down, or else we wouldve changed domes long before that. We run 170 now.
  10. We ran 230 for a little over a year, when we tore down to have more work done the crank had a broken weld. Motor ran decent though.
  11. A local race car shop here carries it, we run VP 110, its like 5.75 a gallon. I reccomend figuring out how much compression you have, and go with your octane rating from there. If I were you, i would not advance the timing for now.
  12. Just thought I'd let some of you know: 2-19-05: Heads up racing in Hazelhurst Georgia 2-26-05: ET Bracket Racing in Valdosta Georgia. Both are 300 ft dirt tracks.
  13. We have one in our banshee and the shifting is alot smoother, and I didnt miss as many gears after we got it.
  14. loco, its a drag only banshee, still just a gas 350 though. My best time in the 1/4 is a 12.3 at 98, that was with no slicks and was geared for the 1/8, plus its a little faster now.
  15. Yea, i doubt that on a stock banshee , but who knows, i could probaly beat most stock 600s through the 1/4 with an average rider.
  16. If your suspension is soft or something the chain might be getting loose when you take off when the swingarm goes past parallel. Just a thought.
  17. Just run a 39 and make up for the rest of the gear with the front sprocket. A bigger front sprocket is better for the chain anyways.
  18. I heard that if you put on the 38 without grindin something down that the chain will hit and probaly break. I got my 39 from sprocket specialists and they will probaly make you a 38.
  19. 38 if you gring down the nut or somethin, 39 with no modification.
  20. Yea, Tim is a great guy to deal with. I run a marvin shaw on the back and i love it, light, and just a little travel so its not such a rough ride. I run marvin shaw solid struts on the front too.
  21. TDR sells some real some cheap, we used to run them before we went strutted. I think it was $50 for the pair, not quite as light as the shaws, but it was $200 cheaper. We now run Marvin Shaw struts in the front and a shaw shock in the rear.
  22. I dont think you should have a problem with the cpis, ive heard of some other pipes not clearing the powervalves and stuuf. PS: I would run CPI small bores instead of the big bores.
  23. Yes you can make them fast, I had/have one that went 5.30s on gas and my cousin has a 2 wheel drive express( heavy trail quad) on alcohol and it has went 5.1s. Now thats pretty far behind our banshees but its not bad for an automatic single that isnt much bigger cc wise than a banshee and weighs alot more.
  24. Nice frame, who built it? What kind of times does that bike run?
