  1. 20ft/lbs each - Torque the head in steps 10, 15, 20ft/lbs following the proper order(the #s are marked on the origional head. Torque the cylinders in cris-cross
  2. Tap them out with a hammer and a punch.
  3. Why don't you go to your dealer and buy a new one (Motion Pro makes them among other aftermarket companies) - you should be able to get one for under $20. If you got one from ebay your going to have to pay the shipping and it will probably end up costing you more then a new one from the dealer.
  4. I cut about 1/4" off the flanges on the front of the air box where the boot goes on and it fits on a lot better.
  5. I don't think the SS Pistons give more compression (the Vito's powers pistons give a bit more compression). I burnt one on Monday but because somehow my dial-a-jet got turned and leaned it out. Pistons don't burn holes in them for no reason-either it is lean or too low of octain in the gas. Vito's SS pistons are made by Wiseco to Vito's specs and should be as good as a normal Wiseco but give you a lot more power. Vito's are also selling a version of these that are cast and are a little cheaper (Wiseco ones are forged) but I ordered another set of forged ones yesterday from Magic Racing.
  6. I think the 4 rubber pieces you are talking about are for the rear mount on the silincers. There should also be 2 round aluminum sleeves/spacers that go through these rubbers and then the bolts go through them.
  7. Cascade Innovations makes silencers that meet sound levels but I'm not sure if they have spark arresters in them. PH.503-663-7007
  8. I got Vito's Super Stock Pistons and I like them - they made the bike work a lot better. Give them a try you won't be disapointed.
  9. Raptor pegs will also move you back about 2 inches and they are wider then banshee or blaster pegs and will be easier on the feet if you do any jumping.
  10. The K&N filter flange has a bigger opening then the Pro Design one has.
  11. I was told that the Vito's pipes are basiclly a copy of the CPI in frames. I got a set of Vito's 30mm power jet carbs a few months ago and really like them. The throttle seems to be alot more crisp then the stock carbs and they jetting is so easy to do with them.
  12. I got a set of 6 pedel reed cages that fit the Banshee and wondering if they are out of an RZ. Would they be any better then the stock cages to put a set of carbon fiber reeds on.
  13. Anyone know the bearing numbers for the crank.
  14. Anyone know where there is a good place to get CPI's and a Wiseco long rod crank. I want to order both togeather because I'm in Canada and I'll save on shipping and only pay one brokerage fee. Parts Direct can't get the spacer plate for the LR crank but they are cheaper on the CPI pipes and TDR has a good price on the LR crank kit but the pipes are $75 more and they won't budge on their price.
  15. I'm going to buy a new crank and was wondering if it's worth the extra money to go with the long rod crank and spacer plate. Is there much difference in power over a regular rod crank. Anyone know anything about Vito's cranks with the keyed centers - how do they compare to Wiseco cranks.
  16. I'm thinking about getting rid of my Fattys and getting CPI in frame pipes and was wondering if they are good for trail driving or are they mainly a drag pipe - I hear different opinions on this. I have Vito's SS pistions, 30mm PWKs, PD head (21cc) and not really any porting (case matched and intake windows cut a bit). I was also wondering how well they fit.
  17. I had a problem with mine after I drilled the carbs for the idle screws and what was causing it was a burr from drilling and/or tapping. I took fine sand paper (600 or 1000 grit) and went over the hole to clean it up so it would not catch the slide.
  18. FMF sells a kit that has new springs and O-rings in it that you should be able to get from a dealer that sells FMF. As for the the rubber seal between the pipe and silencer get SILICONE HEATER HOSE - any parts store that sells parts for big trucks should have it.

  20. You should be able to tell by measuring the the bore of the carb - the inside diameter on the front side (engine side not airbox side).
  21. I got a set a few weeks ago from Magic Racing - they still had a few in stock then but I tried Vito's first and they told me that the place that they get the carb bodies from were behind schedule and weren't sure on a date when they would have them. Give Vito's a call they might know now when they will have them again.
  22. Yamahammer Yes the raptor peg fit right on - I think I might have reamed the holes a bit but the bolt spacing is the same. They are also wider then the Blaster pegs and have the same profile as the banshee pegs. The spacer came with my nurfs and went on the outside of the stock pegs but now i think its behind the pegs but I forget - its been 2 years since I put them on and I'm at work now or else I'd check. All you would need is a short piece of small pipe and a longer bolt.
  23. I bought a set in '95 and they fit like shit so I don't know if they improved that but they did make a big difference in how well the bike worked. I have Fatties now and I found the DG's seemed to rev a bit higher. When one of the magizines dynoed a bunch of pipes the DGs come out ahead of some of the others, so they are not that bad.
  24. I put a set of Vito's 30mm dial-a-jet carbs on my banshee and I like them. I got them from Magic Racing for $360. They are basically a Keihin 28 bored to 30 with the dial-a-jet put on them. You can get normal Keihins a little cheaper.
  25. I put Raptor pegs on my Banshee which are back about 2 inches (and wider then Banshee pegs) and then hacked up the banshee pegs and welded them to the back side of the Raptor pegs. They are nice and wide now - but I also had to shorten the shifter the break lever. They never cost me anything because I got the Raptor peg from a friend who put pro-peg nurfbars on his bike.
