  1. Cascade Innovations makes silencers that are a lot quieter then the normal CPIs but I'm not sure if they have a spark arrester in them. They should for the price - $300 US.
  2. A friend of mine just got a new DG grab bar and it has the mounts for the tail light but the older ones didn't.
  3. The Dennis Kirk catalogue says that you need to use the SST silencers with the SST headpipes. I checked after I was talking to you tonight.
  4. If you have a Pro-flo flange for your filter try taking the airbox cover off or drop 2-3 sizes in your mains. A few years ago I was running 270's in mine with Fatties, snorkel off with 6 one inch vents cut in cover,FMF Ram Valves, and case matched - at sea level and it worked great. I found it worked better with 27.5 pilots thenit did with the 30s in it.
  5. Get Silicone Heater Hose - regular hose can't withstand the high temperature. Any local truck parts store should have it and it's alot cheaper then buying the factory ones.
  6. Torque it in steps starting at 10ft/lbs,then 15,and 20-22ft/lbs in the order that is on the stock head.
  7. Go to your local dealer - if you mail order it you will have to pay shipping so it will probably end up costing you more.
  8. Are you on crack? Keep your FMF's. Stock pipes look, sound, and work like shit.
  9. Are you kicking it over as fast as you can with the throttle open until the guage stops climbing? Some compression guages aren't that accurate, if you can - try another guage to compare. But like dlnoss said it depends on you porting.I have 150lbs with 21cc domes at sealevel but NO porting.
  10. Red fenders with grey tank - any I've seen.
  11. Shortysracing.com gives 10% off your first order so you end up getting them for $500.
  12. I can't see why not. Some campanies make big bore pipes for 450cc+
  13. There is some kind of a saftey thing on the newer Banshee's that there is an electric switch on the parking brake that won't allow it to rev with the brake on. The switch could be stuck.
  14. I have my intake windows cut a little and the case matched but no real porting.
  15. I got a set of chrome CPI inframes from Shorty's Racing for $500. They were $550 but he takes 10% off your first order.
  16. I got Vito's 30mm carbs with the dial-a-jets and noticed quite a difference. They are basically a Keihin flat slide.

    Pistons

I have Vito's Super Stock pistons in my bike and really like them. They are made by Wiseco to Vito's specs. Well worth the money.
  18. I drilled a hole and then welded a nut on and put a bolt with a rubber washer on it for a seal. Just make sure to cut the bolt off flush with the inside of the waterpump cover because there isn't much clearence between the cover and the impeller. I also cut a bit of the lining inside the plastic cover to clear the head of the bolt.
  19. The white cover is over the end of the shift drum and if you take it off oil will come out but you should be able to take the screws out without it coming off and put the case saver on. You will have to do a little trimming on the original side cover to put it back on.
  20. It will start slipping in the higher gears - the engine will rev out but won't pull like it should. If you catch it in time before you burn the fiber plates and worp the steel plates you could just put heavier springs in it and it will be fine. Barnett sells spring kits for about $15. Any bike dealer should be able to get them for you.
  21. Cascade Innovations make exhaust clamps specifically for different brands of pipes. If you have a set of pipes that have a slip fit joint (the silencer slips over the head pipe) you can just use silicone heater hose with a couple of hose clamps and it will seal fine. Just make sure it is silicone heater hose - not reguler hose or it will melt. If you don't have a slip fit joint this probably won't last too long and are better off getting some aluminum clamps that will hold the two tegeather.
  22. I think the Paul Turners are the coolest looking pipes made for the Banshee even though I just bought new CPI's.
  23. I seen a pipe shootout in a magazine not too long ago (ATV Sport I think) where the Gradon Prolines were tested and seemed to be a really good pipe. I can't remember if they were more of a midrange pipe or top end. There was a new set of them on ebay a couple of weeks ago that were selling cheap.
  24. Xt45 why do you always ask such stupid questions like this and about what gear to climb a hill in. And no I never tried running a 2 stroke without mixing the gas.
  25. If you run straight gas in it the amount of time it would run would be minutes not hours. Why don't you try it and let us know for sure how long before it seizes.
