Hey Pimp...its been 3 pages since you came up with anything even remotely clever. Meanwhile half the HQ has handed you your ass. Maybe you should let your wife take over and see if she has anything. Prolly wouldn't help, any girl with half a brain would have dumped your ass a long time ago.

If you really want to win your war on cigs, or the war on drugs, or any other of the so-called "wars", don't go after the tobacco companies. Ignore the users. Ignore the dealers. None of them are the cause, they're the effect. Instead, go after the idiots that made this mundane life as dull as it is. Go after the shithead that designed the PT Cruiser. Flame the fuckwad that decided working 5 days in order to get 2 off was a good idea. Rip the balls off the son of a bitch that wanted to take money from people that work their asses off, and give it to the dipshits too lazy to do anything but stay home making babies! ~some parts borrowed from a comedian whose name eludes me Personally, I'd like to thank all the smokers, druggies, extreme sports enthusiasts, alcoholics, bad drivers, sluts, boat/pool owners that can't swim, pigpens, packrats, gangbangers, and basically anybody with a shortage of common sense. All the world's problems are due entirely to overpopulation (starvation, polution, health care, high taxes, etc.). The more of us that engage in 'risky behavior', the more likely that some of us will check out early, thereby doing our part to make the world a better place. In defense of smokers, sure we're all gonna die, but you guys choose to fuel the economy on your way out. I think this is actually pretty smart. I know I'm doing my part to end overcrowding everytime I get on my quad, send my kite, grab my surfboard, or lace up some climbing shoes. Look at the big picture pimp, bad/dangerous habits are a way of life, and are just another way to make life more interesting while it lasts.

If you're planning on modding the shee soon or if you buy some paddles and it seems to be lugging then you can swap the tires and run the paddles backwards. I'd avoid geckos since they're about as good in the sand as a fresh set of knobbies. Look at the sand stars, drop 1 tooth on your front gear, and you should be fine.

putting the casses back together
Wallrat replied to justinklumb29's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
While you got it apart you should drill a 3/8" hole in the case at the bottom of the area that seperates the clutch from the tranny to help promote better oil flow. Other than that...screw the studs in till they stop, use some yamabond (#4 if i remember right) on the mating surfaces, and make sure you got all the pieces where they're supposed to be. -
Timing Advance: How Much Can I Get Away With?
Wallrat replied to Stinger's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Uh I'm not so sure on that one. I'd try +2 if it were my bike since its f'n hard to hear detonation on a shee. -
I can see your point about being pissed about it and yeah alot of smokers are inconsiderate. But all u gotta do is seperate yourself from that if it bothers you so much. Its stupid that you have to do it but next time go outside and ask ur buddies to clean up all their butts before they leave. Alot of smokers somehow don't consider cig butts as being litter...I never got it But then I've also had buddies that smoke and they'll field strip thier cigs, make efforts to smoke only when they're away from non-smokers, etc. Not all of em are inconsiderate, disgusting pigs. Just a good portion giving the group as a whole a bad rap. Oh and I definately agree with the turn off factor of smoking. When I see a girl light up, that's an instant -10 points on my 1-10 scale.

Personally I like to build an engine with an emphasis towards reliability. I think with the big bores you only get two bores before you gotta resleave. What kinda riding do you do?

How Much Have You Spent on Your Shee?
Wallrat replied to Slammin Full Bore's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I feel your pain doink...I'm about $6k into mine and its still a lump of crap. But god damn if that aint the funnest lump of crap I've ever had! -
I'm so there. Make sure you holla at me when you go!

Koop is correct. The stock stator only puts out 70w on the lighting circuit so you can only run 2 35w bulbs. Going to a higher wattage bulb will actually make the lights dimmer and more yellow.

Sounds like your clutch is either out of adjustment or the plates are worn. Either way your going to notice it first on inclines or when getting on the gas hard. Eventually if left this way it'll start doing it on the flats too. Check that you don't have alot of play in the clutch lever, then check down on the engine case where the cable pulls on the clutch arm. The clutch arm has a little arrow that should match up to another little arrow on the engine case when you put some pressure on it with your finger.

Well generally the whole crank assembly is going to have damage, especially the bearings. Aside from that, I doubt the pistons and cylinders would survive intact, head probably got knicked up too. May have even done damage to the case. All that loose metal floating around could have trashed the tranny and gotten into the clutch as well. Personally I wouldn't buy it unless the cases were split and I could see what I had to work with.

Best bet is to find somebody that knows banshees to go with you. Otherwise you can do a few things: Take a pic and post it here (so we can see what kind of shape its in and mods) Tell us where you're located (determines compression and sometimes price) Buy a compression tester and check the compression on both cyls
-
Its hard to say. May is usually the end of the season but it's also very hard to predict the temperature during this time of the year. Your best bet is going to be watching the forecast for a week before you go. It could easily be in the 70's or it could hit triple digits. Some of us are going out for a last trip Mother's Day weekend (I think that's the 8th). If I were you I'd plan 2 trips, the first to Glamis, the 2nd somewhere cooler just in case Glamis is too hot. That way you get to go riding no matter what.

I would invest in a good compression tester. Even if that isn't the problem this time, eventually it will be. Knowing your compression will save you alot of grief. I wish I could help with the process of removing the TORS but my shee came without it so I don't really know that much in that area. I know they sell kits to do it and I think you can piece together everything you need yourself. Again, removing the TORS is something you should do now, even if it isn't what's causing this specific problem. While you have your carbs off, go ahead and give em a good cleaning and sync them up. Let us know what you find.

It looks a little cleaner if you cut the added peg at a bevel where it comes in contact with the peg mount. Hard to describe exactly. Take a look at the inside of the rear peg:
-
Ya it really depends on where you want your power.
-
Looks like you snagged an exhaust port. Check the edges of the exhaust port, is it chamfered?
-
Welp...that does it. Thanks to LE's latest post I'm proud to announce that every verse in the bible has now been transcribed here to the HQ Good job guys! Jesus Loves Bandwidth

oh ya ur right...either way its a bomb in disguise.

Who's gonna be the HQ test dummy? NOS mini-bike

Not starting is always going to be a fuel, air, tors or spark issue. Pull your plugs and put the caps back on. Wrap a rag around the cap, touch the plug to the head for a ground and kick it over - you should see spark. If you got spark, pull the fuel hoses going into the carbs and turn on the fuel to make sure you have flow. Do you still have the TORS installed? Also have you checked your compression? Low compression can also cause difficulty starting. Try those steps and report back what you find. Then we'll figure it out from there.

does ne one know a good site to look

In how many forums are you going to ask about this? -
That's what I was thinking... ya know bio, there's forums for repairs and mods, jetting, videos, etc...You should try a little exploration.
