  1. Well first off a stroker doesn't have to be a long rod and vice versa. Ebay is about the only place where you might find something cheaper. The crank isn't terribly expensive, but when you gotta get carbs, porting, head cut/domes/or spacer plate, seal and gasket kits, pistons, etc. it starts to add up.
  2. Um...you're talking to a guy that prefers a plasma torch to a drill.
  3. Well we know where the shee is lacking. Pipes, filter, and suspension should be #1 on everyone's hitlist...regardless of riding style. Course that's alot of green to upgrade. Still though, you do need to have an idea of what kinda riding you do. Give us some more info and maybe we can point you in a direction.
  4. They have Photoshop for the PC as well... Works good between crashes. Speaking of, where's my PS copy? Do I need to sweeten my offer?
  5. Sweet, thanks Loco
  6. I know awhile back they were having issues with their chroming company and orders were taking a long time to be completed. Anybody know if that's been straightened out yet? I need to order some A-arms but not if its gonna take 2 months to get them.
  7. Looking for an a-arm frame. Something newer if possible. I know there's no difference between a 93 and a 2002, but I'm pretty hard on frames so I'd like something with as little potential stress as possible. PM me with what you've got. Even better if you're in SoCal.
  8. PM Justintoxicated. There's actually alot more to LED's than most people realize. The $2.99 variety aren't very bright - dimmer than a mini-maglight. If you want some real power you need to go with 1w, 3w, or even 5w Luxeons. Justin did a good write-up on how he made his setup. His bike is definately easy to spot now on the hill. So much so that we've nicknamed his bike 'devil smurf'.
  9. Uh...can I vote twice?
  10. Since this guy has yet to make an even remotely intelligent post, I propose a vote. Sorry Mud, but if in 21 posts you can't come up with a single thing worth reading, your just a waste of bandwidth IMO.
  11. Pimp, I think you need a slightly larger signature. I can still see the whole thing without scrolling.
  12. Think she'll mind being woken up so we can ask her?
  13. 70.89...not bad! Do you think the strapon question would be a 'yes' if you watched 2 girls going at it with one? I answered 'no' since technically I didn't participate.
  14. Mine: #1: Humanist (100) #2: Unitarian Universalist (97) #3: Theravada Buddhist (85) #4: Atheist/Agnostic (85) #5: Neo-Pagan (72) Whatever all that means...I always considered myself an atheist. Now I can just confuse the hell out of people by saying I'm a Humanist with Unitarian Universalist tendacies and a penchant for Theravada Buddhism.
  15. The back does have some texture built in. Unfortunately with the rounded bodies they tend to slip around alot. The texture helps but still takes some getting used to. What I love is the carbon fiber top. The sound it produces is amazing - super clean and ultra crisp.
  16. My brother bought a used Yamaha for $200 right after I'd bought my new $200 Epiphone. His sounds 1000% better than mine and he never even learned to play it. Bastard.
  17. I've got 3. A cheap epiphone that I learned on, a cheap squire for the rare times I wanna play electric, and my pride and joy - an Ovation Adamas 1597: (Oooooo) MORE PICS
  18. I'd check out some local pawn shops. Guitars are pretty big at the ones here in cali. I've got an epiphone 6 string that I don't really use but I don't think it would be worth the shipping. Plus it was only $200 or something new.
  19. Cole, What the hell kinda "ladies" are you giving a BJ to?
  20. Man I miss the good old days of the HQ. I was reading through this thread (amazing since I never bother to read threads anymore) and was trying to put my finger on why the HQ is so lousy anymore. I think it all boils down to respect. Not long ago, hell a year ago, if Dan, Walt, Jim, JKJK, etc had posted an explaination on some kind of new engine theory, everybody would have listened. Oh sure there'd be questions/concerns/doubts but these would be shared without insults or machoism. In return, the more knowledgeable members would have been able to explain themselves without being called 'fuckface', which really makes things more enjoyable for everyone. I'm not sure when or why respecting another member of the HQ was thrown out, but seriously people...isn't it getting old? We all ride banshees, we all will eventually have questions about them. That doesn't make any of us idiots. That doesn't mean that people need to bash us for our setup when we should have gone the same route that they went. We ride a machine that is unique. Why would anyone that sacrificed the latest technology for a 18 year old, but unique, toy want to turn around and make it exactly like everybody elses'? I dunno, maybe I'm turning hippy on this but I look at the members of the HQ and think, "hey that guy rides a shee too...can't be that bad a person."
  21. How big do you wanna go? You can get about 6' of air before things start getting painful on a stock shee.
  22. There's a few gaskets but unless you're prying it apart with a screwdriver they generally survive just fine. I've never replaced mine and I've pulled apart my carbs more times than I'd like to remember.
  23. Why don't you make a wish and blow me!
