Am I close? Trinity 2 into 1 CV 35mm

What's your temperature and elevation? -
reed spacer with C.V 35mm single carb ?

Dunno...try it and see what happens. -
You might as well cross Glamis right off your list since your planning a summer trip. Temps in the 120's aren't unusual during the summer. Same goes for Dumont dunes while we're at it. Our season out here is Sept - May.

Were you the guy that was saying the banshee was too slow? Cuz a single carb isn't gonna have the maximum amount of power available. It has its advantages, but dragging isn't one of em.

Any decent shock manufacturer will ask you some specifics about your riding style, weight, A arm/swingarm length, etc.

If you're using a trinity intake then I'd say its worth trying. I've always thought that trinity made their 2:1 too short and overly complex. Its probably port tuned to about 150 rpms! I'm running a graydon style manifold that I made myself. I think its a better design but since Graydon went out of business the only place to get em is ebay. -
Will 50 watt headlights work?
Wallrat replied to bansheeryder_69's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
50w bulbs will still work, but they'll be very yellow and not as bright as some 35w bulbs would. You might wanna find out what kinda bulbs they take first. 35w are pretty hard to find in certain sizes. -

We need a new subject for Stan's MSPaint skillz! -
Shouldn't be a problem. The voltage regulator is in the back under the seat next to the CDI. I dunno what black box you're talking about next to the coil...

I've ridden the older style basic works, several styles of Elkas, and TCS. Personally I'd pick TCS over Elkas, and Elkas over works. Granted the newer works are a whole different shock but still... TCS makes an awesome shock and if you can afford the $850 (fronts only, $450 to rebuild the rear) price tag, they're worth it! The rebuilt rear is nice, but not as nice as a whole new rear shock, but then it doesn't have the price of a new rear shock.

Much like the introduction to an IMAX film, the Segway engineers boast about the inherent inefficiencies of their "innovation:" redundant sensors, microprocessors, and controller boards that cost a fortune, and all for what? A balancing act? Well I came up with an innovation of my own that will help balance a Segway without years of research and millions of dollars invested in obscure technology. The secret? -
This one's good: Page 1 This one's better: page 2 DING DING! Here comes the shit-mobile!

Dude nerfs are so you don't suck ur leg in and run yourself over. Well that and to keep a tire from another quad from getting in there while ur racing. You don't actually stand on the nerfs, that'd crack ur frame.

I've rebuilt quite a few 2 strokes from the ground up. Having done the shee before, I could do it again in a weekend no problem. I rebuilt 1 4 stroke...man did that suck! Makes you wish your parents had never met. I mean its do-able. On a 2 stroke rebuild you'll keep thinking, "there's gotta be more to it than this", on a 4 stroke rebuild you think, "holy shit there's more??"

Yeah it'd work. I'm running a single 35 on my +4. You'd prolly have more top end than me with a 38.
-
Honestly man it doesn't matter what paddles you get. It won't be rideable until you get a swingarm. I'd hold off on tires and put that money towards a swinger.

All I know is I've always been told to put the orange towards the front.

I wrote to him asking him where he came up with 100HP. He said he never dyno'd it but by adding up the #'s he guessed it was 75HP. Don't worry I corrected him about that too. According to him its his son's bike so he doesn't know much about it. He had a mechanic look it over for the information he did give. Apparently I need to take my shee to that mechanic!

If your landing on flat ground then after about 6 feet high the stock suspension starts to get painful. Now if you're landing on a slope, really there's no reason why you couldn't sky it on stock componants. Unfortunately if you land less than perfect your liable to damage something. I've heard that lengthening the front with new A arms and shortening the swingarm by 2" really helps with the shee's airborne behavior. The whole weight issue comes into play when you try to muscle it around in the air to correct a bad pitch. When I hop on my wife's 450, I always end up overcorrecting cuz I'm used to having to really pull my shee around to the proper angle.

I just looked at your mods. You should look into trading those 9 paddles for some 8 paddles. You don't have enough power to warrant the extra paddle. Its slowing you down. I think that the single carb gets a bad rep because the majority of banshee owners are power hungry. Whether they need or can even handle that power never enters into common thinking. Unless you're dragging and its really important to you that your bike is the fastest at the hill, I think the single carb is a great mod. The benefits of having some low end, great throttle response, and easy jetting are worth it in themselves. Add to that a cleaner engine bay and much easier trouble-shooting with engine problems and it really makes it a no-brainer. Basically it comes down to this: If you want more power, go duals. If you want more reliability, rideability and ease of use, go single.

You'd pick up a couple HP with the advanced timing. So I wouldn't neccesarily say they were "big" gains. You might consider ditching the key and using an adjustable timing plate instead. Some people have sheared their keys which led to costly repairs. Now I ran one for 2 years and never had a problem so maybe I just got lucky or maybe the people that have had problems weren't tightening the flywheel enough. Either way, the timing plate from Ricky Stator is worth the $35 just for peace of mind alone. You should be okay with 20cc domes and stock timing. Is 'Super' up there 91 or 93 octane? Personally I'd recommend getting some porting as that's one of the best banshee mods to really tailor the power to your own riding style. The only time I wouldn't recommend porting is if you're planning on building a stroker anytime soon since the ports will be off and alot of times you'll have to buy new cylinders. This is less of a problem these days since so many people are switching to cub cylinders and therefore the market is flooded with used stock cylinders.

Next to pipes, porting will be the best bang for your buck. Generally porting lowers the compression a bit. I'd stick with stock timing for now.

So I'm leaving for Italy on Thursday and contrary to all of my wife's friends who are asking for rosary beads, keychains, etc. all of my friends want me to ship em a bottle of absinthe back. Pretty much I'm spending a small fortune on illegal spirits. So I've been doing a little shopping online, trying to come up with a list. I'd like to get a couple bottles for myself - something traditional and then something with a good thujone kick. I'm leaning towards Strong68 as the traditional, and maybe Absinta Thujone Delirium (red absinthe) so I can mix with red bull, coke, etc. I'd like to try several differerent types so I think I'll send my friends some other variations. Anybody have any recomendations? I know Lee had mentioned that he likes a little 'green fairy' every now n' then. One of my friends already has a bottle of 'King of Absinthe' and he's complained that its almost un-drinkable, so I was thinking of something that tastes less like "licorice flavored gasoline" for him.

Stock is somewhere around 39 HP. You're prolly near 50-ish.
-
Probably some type of dune port by the sounds of it. It'll give you gains bottom, middle, and top, but the emphasis will be on mid and top. What kind of pipes are you running?
