  1. Sounds to me like you could have a broken reed. Or it could be other things also. First thing I would do is check the reeds to see if there ok, next thing I would do is run a compression test to see where your at.
  2. If you are using rigid pipe mounts that will cause most pipes to break or crack the tabs on the pipes. I've seen it happen many many times. The stockers may not look the best, but that rubber in the center is needed to suck up the vibration. If they come apart in the center its best to just buy new factory ones. Even drilling them out in the center and putting bolts through them makes it so they dont suck up the vibration. Especially if there bolted together real tight.
  3. Has the VIN been powder coated over or was it removed from the bike by someone? If someone ground off the VIN your pretty much screwed. If the VIN has been powder coated over you will have to remove the powder coat. You should have gotten a title or a bill of sale with the bike. Not exactly sure how it works in your state.
  4. It only ends when your out of funds. Until the next payday. haha. The want and need never stops.
  5. That sucks man. Well maybe next trip. Lets continue the roll call. Chad
  6. Greg I don't mind giving out my phone number at all, but I just dont want to post it in the forum. If anyone interested in the trip would like to get ahold of me, just send me a PM and I will give you my number. I'm thinking somewhere around poll 4, maybe closer to poll 5. Have to see whats available when I get out there. Once i get roll call going and know whos bringing trailers and whatever I can know how much real estate I need to mark off when I get there. I don't want to be the dick that takes up half the beach if we dont need it.
  7. So I'm trying to get Roll Call going on this trip. This is what I have so far. People who are going Greg (Bansh-eman) Austin (flyhighprerunner) Dave (DaveI) Pablo (Bada450r) Climbanyhill Rubberneck AND MYSELF Questionable attendees NOS_350X Lowbuckracing Erwin8r People who are no longer going Socalinit Casper There are still plenty of camp sites available on reserve america for reservations. If you arent sure how to make reservations let me know and I will explain how the process works. I will be heading out there friday morning if work permits and will try to find a spot thats close to the beach but wont be in the water when the tide comes up. That way hopefully anybody thats bringing a trailer or toy hauler wont get stuck. I'm hoping that all the people attending will camp in one big group. Let me know what you guys think and finally LETS get the list going of who is going to be there for SURE.. Post up. Chad
  8. Did the bike sit with Gas in the bowls? If so your probably going to need to take off your carbs and clean them out with some carb cleaner. Take your plugs out and make sure they look good and replace if needed. Hope this helps you out. By the way I wouldnt start your bike without pipes installed.
  9. As I once discussed this with a buddy of mine. I think the reeds make very minor changes. I think most of the gain is mental. Think its fast now, send those cylinders out to get ported. Then you will have SPEED!! Whats going on with the floats?
  10. There is a little rubber plug on the stator side that goes into the case, just in front of the drive sprocket. The stator cover pushes down on it so it can't come out. Make sure that piece is still in there. Also make sure you stator cover gasket is good and not torn., and that stator cover bolts are tight. Get some dielectric grease and fill all of your wiring harness connections with them. You should be alright after that. As long as the spark plugs dont get really wet. Unless of course you have some burnt wires that are shorting when they get wet. Hope this helps. If not I guess you could spray your bike down with the hose while its running to see where your issue it. I wouldnt advise it if your not using the stock air box.
  11. Your crank has a seal on it, so it shouldnt allow the water and oil to get into the crank. Unless of course your crank seal is bad also. You should be alright. Most likely its just the water pump seal. When the motor was rebuilt did it get a new water pump seal also? You said 5 hours on it, I'm assuming you rebuilt it, but I guess it could still be new.
  12. Kinda look like strawberry milk? If so you got coolant in your tranny oil. Which would also cause the pressure to push it out the overflow tubes. Time to check your water pump seal.
  13. Text Messaging and now ringtones?? You feeling alright. LOL
  14. Magura Hydraulic Clutch setup. Brand new. Never been mounted. Fits Banshee/TRX250R. Asking 155 shipped.
  15. Because there for a buddy on a budget.. If they were for me, I would have gone billet.
  16. Clutch Cover Sold!!
  17. Its brand new. Never been mounted. Make me an offer and I will kick it around. Chad
  18. Bump.. Clutch cover is back up for sale!!
  19. Bump.. Still looking for these
  20. That shock not work out for you? I am the same weight you are. Not sure what other bike applications fit the banshee. You could always go Elka like I did, but thats only because I went to a +8 swinger. Or you can always send the stock shock out and have it re valved for your weight.
  21. Sounds like you lost all compression. A good starting point would be to drain the coolant and pull the head off, to see what kind of damage if any to the pistons. Its possible the spark plugs are loose, but to have both loose at the same time would be pretty rare. If they are loose I would still pull the head and check the pistons out. I always expect the worst, but thats just me.
  22. Mine was doing that. I moved the shift lever down a notch and it didnt happen anymore. Almost like I wasn't pulling up on it hard enough to get it all the way into gear. Don't know if this will help you, but give it a try.
  23. If its sticking, its probably also rattling. My advice would be rebuild it. You let it go long enough, you will be out in the dunes or wherever you ride and stop to take a break. You will go to start your bike and notice all thats there is a little peg where the kick starter used to be. Or maybe thats just my experience. haha. Funny thing is on the way back i found my kickstarter in the sand, and the bolt was still in it. Used to stick and rattle like crazy, but now I have a new one.
  24. LOL.. Love the sarcasm. Round house is the way to go. Never has a chain adjustment been so easy.
