  1. I'm on my second pro design water impeller. The first one wore down where the water seal rides and started leaking. The first one lasted for about a year. The second one has been in my bike for 4 years and havent had a problem with it yet.
  2. I would say CPI in frames, carbs, and port job. Thing will rip.
  3. Sounds like you need to adjust the clutch.
  4. Wow.. thats sucks man.. I dont know whats worse.. The wife having the clamp down on your funds.. or losing the screw into your crankcase!! Hope you figure that out
  5. Looks good. Hope its a backup to the shee!!
  6. If your talking about no oil in your crank area you are correct. It is a two stroke motor, and the crank is lubed with the oil you add in the fuel. There will only be residual amounts of oil from that in your crank and cylinder area. If you munched a piston it would be good to split the cases in order to get any small parts out of there. If it didnt break into pieces, I guess you could always rinse the cases out with gas and turn it upside down to get the parts out. I wouldnt advise doing it that way.

    Hotel Bill

    haha.. Thats pretty good!!
  8. The only proper way to check for an air leak is a leak down test. You can make a tester for about 20-25 bucks at your local hardware and automotive store. Get some freeze plugs to plug up your exhaust. Find some PVC that fits into your intakes, and some caps. A pressure guage of some kind and a valve stem. If you need help making one, PM me and I will show you some pictures of what you need to get and how to make it.
  9. So whats your opinion so far Phil?
  10. If you can sell them for 55 bucks to the people who want them, more power to you. Beats having to run to the hardware store to find what you need. Not everyone on here is mechanically inclined. I on the other hand bought some rubber freeze plugs from autozone to plug up the exhaust for 4 dollars. A 0-30 PSI guage for 7 dollars, PVC fittings and valve stem for approx 10 dollars. A freeze plug is not going to shoot out under 6 PSI of pressure. I would love to see a picture of your kit though. Send them to [email protected] and I will post them up for you.
  11. Thats kind of an odd sized piston. Going to take special domes for sure. Wonder if there going to be able to cut them that wide and not have sealing problems. Do you have pistons for it already? If not do you know what pistons they take? Curious.
  12. Don't use a degree key, use a timing plate. Spend the extra 30 dollars and save yourself all the headaches. Some people have had good luck with degree keys, but I personally wouldnt recommend it. The degree key will take place of the stock timing key that holds the flywheel in place on the crankshaft.
  13. If you heat it hot enough with a torch to expand it, the freeze plug is going to melt also. I say put some new o rings in it, and maybe seal up the extra with some high temp RTV. Dont know what else you can really do.. Unless you know someone who can weld on the outside and machine it back down to where it used to be. Sounds pricey.
  14. That sucks man. I hope they catch the person who took it, and they get whats coming to them. Its one thing to mess with a person, its another thing to steal there property. I wish USA would adopt laws of other countries. Such as cutting off fingers or hands when caught stealing.
  15. First off I think you need to apologize for jackin this guys thread Eric. Hes just looking for some carbs. Second, theres no deep throating something thats smaller then dental floss. Keep your day job as a FLUFFER!!!
  16. Ditch the fuel filter. As they only cause problems. The filter on the petcock is good enough. If you want to have some kind of filtered fuel I believe you can buy a filter for the top of your cas can. Someone else suggested that in another fuel filter post.
  17. Just because it has a new topend doesn't always mean the compression is fine. Its always good to check it just to know where your at. That way down the road when it starts feeling a little weak you can check the compression again and compare it to where you started. As far as it not starting cold. Sounds like you have some choke issues.
  18. Talk about having nothing better to do. That site will be down before you know it.
  19. Welcome to HQ. All the help you need is just a post away. Heres a good download to start with. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68045
  20. Your welcome on letting him know. Its a great bike, and very very fast. He only ran it a few times that I know of. Hows the bike getting to you? I havent talked to him about it.
  21. How much for the kicker to 93458 if JB doesnt take it, and the price is right I will take it. You have a billet stator cover? Let me know.
  22. I was out there Sat of labor day weekend. Didn't see but 2 drag banshee's. Kind of unusual for pismo. I was on my YFZ450 since my banshee is currently being rebuilt. Were trying to get a bunch of HQ members together for a camping trip out there Sept 19-21. I am out there pretty much every weekend. Check out this thread. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=96526
  23. Erics just mad because his girl came over last night and gave them to me, but he didnt know she had them because hes not getting any. LOL It's ON Eric.. You have no idea what you just opened up :ninja:
  24. Anxious Yes, Stressed not really. Why you stressin all the small stuff? Nobody is going to see those flaws in your polished parts when that trinity motor is in the back of the pack. LOL. But no seriously if I were to throw a number out there as to how many aftermarket parts just dont bolt on without modification I would say 50%. Thats my experience. Get some sleep man. The banshee will be there tomorrow. And you have 16 days before the Pismo trip. Plenty of time.
  25. Pablo, you going to camp with us? Or just come out for the day?
