I need a new set of wheels and tires. If anyone has a set laying around that is not in use but is usable please PM me. The set I have now has bent rims and -40% tread left... Not looking to spend much, I just need some ability to stear.

I am looking for a AC six pack rack... PM me if you have one and I will give you my email to send picture.
-
Thanks, I will give that a whirl after christmas (when I get my pipes =))

Ya, the frame isnt mine, if it was I wouldnt be spray painting it...Simply for reasons like this. But its the money factor. If I could get this frame, the A-arms, J arms and swingarms done for like $100 I might, but from the sounds of it, the frame alone is $200+ for a good job.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm good info.. You described my situation down to the T.. Now the hard part... Trying to convince my friend not to go chrome.
-
the clearcoat doesnt make it soft, the paint itself is. There is no clear coat on it.. The clearcoat made it look foggy (not chrome)
-
are you serious?
-
I'm painting my friends blaster frame right now, and we primed it up, and painted it chrome. But the paint is sort of soft, so if you take your nail to it, you can scrape it off.. It has dried for over a week, so I dont think thats the problem. But we are trying to find a clear coat or something of that sort that will put a hard finish on it without taking from the chrome look. Every clear coat we tried just made chrome look foggy grey. Any ideas?

Ok, where are you from, I will come get it next week.

I dont have my quad at my house right now so I'm not sure of the jetting, but can anyone give me an estimate of how much I will change by adding FMF pipes (Old style gold series) and powercore 2 silencers. In case you need to know my setup (before pipes) its just removed snorkle and K&N filter.

I shall try that today... I dont know if i have a set that's big enough.. LOL I was told by a guy who works at a shop that its probably bent in there. I'm gonna shoot some WD-40 in there and tap it a little then try that method... Wish me luck. Next option is gonna be the good ol' hack saw.. =(

Ok, I'm posting here and in a new topic in case no one looks at this older post. I cant get the freakin A-arm off... I tried the bolt hitting, probably ruined the bolt and nut, I gotta see if I can make fresh threads or not.. If not im screwed.. But I also tried hitting the spindle...VERY hard.... DIDNT BUDGE...There has to be something holding that bolt on there, I cant see how that just holds itself on with nothing helping it. Anyone ran into this problem before? What else can I do..?

Maybe when raxen finishes his hayabushee.... We will see wheelies from 1st to 6th =) Cant wait to see that...

was just messing around with that link to figure out speed... And at 5k RPMS with 22 inch tires, i will hit 106 MPH in first gear with a 23 tooth front and 10 tooth rear sprockets.. =) If that was true and hyou could do that... WOW.. but ya, sorry I had to share my foolishness with everyone!

what is the spindle

I know this is the banshee forum and all but the blaster uses the same basic setup for suspension. So anyways I am taking the front A-arms off to be chromed on my friends blaster. I got the shock off and the top A-arm came right out, but the bottom ones wont... Is there something else I need to do to remove them? What I did was took the pin out of the bolt then unscrewed the bolt. I did the same with the top and they came right out, the bottom however isnt budging.. Everything is removed from the frame already I'm just down to the lower A-arm and the brake rotor. If there is nothing else to take out, and I got everything already.. Is it alright to give it a nice hard tap with a long wrench or hammer?

And yes, I play hockey for my high schools varsity team... been playing for 11 years

If you have a stock airbox, when you try to start leave the lid and air filter off, spray the starting fluid right down into the carbs (if you didnt pick that up already). I would make sure when cleaning out your carbs that you take high pressure air to all of it also. It really helps. Take your mains right off and blow them out, and give everything a whipe down inside the carbs..I also like to blow air through pretty much everything as well as sprayin a little carb cleaner on there (doesnt hurt) if you dont have starting fluid just take a straw and a cup and pour some of your gas into the cup and then take the straw and use it as a droplet. (just giving you an option if you didnt know it already) This all seems like the same ordeal I went through about a month ago with my shee, so if you have any questions I could probably give you a fair answer.
-
I'm not sure if you said you cleaned the carbs all out or not. I had troubles with my older shee not starting so I cleaned the carbs up, put in new plugs, and started it with some quick start fluid with fresh gas. I had to let it run for a long time before it got all the old gas ran out, maybe he had some kind of bad mix in it? If your getting spark and you have new plugs and havent cleaned your carbs out, I would suggest that. If not, I have no clue... Just trying to get you somewhere.

What color did you do the footpegs in? I want mine done in chrome.. But I just spray painted them chrome cause a shitty chrome spray paint looks alot better then rust and black.

The last helmet I had (now replaced..) has a gouge out of it from where my head struck a branch on a tree.. I was riding the trails and saw the first straight away in a long time so I took my opportunity and at about 3rd gear I noticed 2 trees I had to fishtail between to turn on the trail.. bad news. But im sure glad I was wearing that helmet, if I had that gouge in my head I sure wouldnt be here..

I'm looking for more places to ride in Michigan... Any suggestions? I like trail and the closest place to me is gladwin, which isnt bad, but often I come across bad trail spots that you cant get through... But are there any good places to ride in Michigan.. If yes where, and also I'm looking for some more groups to go with to silver lake this summer.
