  1. Where can I get this stuff cheapest? And what is the name of it.. Or is it just called high temp hose.?
  2. you got that right....I hate the burning of my legs That hose trick should do the trick... Will give it a whirl this weekend, thanks for the idea. Darrin
  3. Still looking for a shee.... I'm in need of one, riding season is coming....!! Post please.
  4. My left side FMF Fatty pipe rubs on my frame.. This causes a hole, which I patched up. But it is starting to rub through the patch. Any way to prevent/fix? (without buying new pipes..) *************************************** * NEW PROBLEM, CHECK LAST POST FOR DETAIL* ***************************************
  5. No title, but I will provide a bill of sale.
  6. Here are pictures... Someone has got to want this stuff. I need to buy some stuff, help me out! For prices check first post, here are pictures.. Also the camera put 1/7/00 as the date, dont get mixed up, i took them today 3/21/04, just the date was messed up.
  7. I have an 87 and just did that last week.. I took a pair of channel locks and gripped the small circular piece, then took a wrench and locked onto the wrench with another set of channel locks, had someone push on one while i did the other.. Spray some liquid wrench on it also. Other then that it should just take some muscle and you will get her off.. Then to remove the flywheel itself you need a special tool.. Banshee specific flywheel puller. I got one off ebay for $16.
  8. I want to do this to my cover, but don't know exactly what to do.. Anyone have a tutorial they could write up for me? Anything will help, let me know...

    All 4 Rims

I'm looking for a set of 4 rims without tires on them. I do need front tires also, but no use for rears. If thats all you have still list it with a pic and price. I want some in very good shape, minor scuffs are OK, but no dents or bends. Need to hold air also. EDIT* Dont want any colors other then silver or chrome.
  10. Ok, I see now.. As for the oil, I will give it a whirl tomarrow. I have the weekend off from work so I will be going and staying where my shee is =) Looks like I get to spend the weekend with her!
  11. Now I see/know what your talking about. Will that hurt anything? If yes, what is the point of it???
  12. I'm not sure if I'm just really unformilliar with this area on the banshee or what, but what you posted after you talked about the bolt, went in one ear and out the other... No idea what you are talking about with ground wires and RZ models.. As for the piece lincster was talking about, it is stuck on the stator cover.. I'm thinking he is talking about the rubber surrounding piece that outlines it.
  13. Yep, shipping will run somewhere between 50 and 100 depending on where you are.. Frames arent cheap to ship, but I will send it USPS if you need me to.
  14. 1999 Yamaha Banshee A-arm Frame Perfect condition, straight as can be. Paint is in great shape. Located in Michigan if you would like to pick it up. $400
  15. And when you say get the part, you mean that o-ring right? Just making sure... lincster - I am not sure of what you are talking about, but does it have anything to do with that big cover that goes over my flywheel/sprocket? I'm guessing it isnt, but if it is, that is off to remove the flywheel and take the pic of leaky oil..
  16. I am unsure of EVERY component that is needed in order to give you spark, but I do know a few important ones. I would start from the cap and work your way back. Someone reading this might know of a component that is missing, so keep an eye out for that. Start off cleaning out the plug cap with a brush, and making sure to get any debry or rust out. Then work your way up the wire. If you have a manual that helps alot, but if not, here is a link to the important stuff you will probably need. http://216.37.204.205/Yamaha_OEM/YamahaATV...ype=13&A=2&B=38 Another thing I would suggest is that you sort of check over any electrical units you can. Unplug things, make sure its not rusted, then plug it back in. Same with any grounding wires.. Make sure they are clean grounds. Be sure that everything IS plugged in.. The banshee's electrical unit is very tricky and if one thing is unplugged that you would NEVER think would make a difference in starting (or stoping ) could be the whole problem. ***Post on here instead of PM's, you will get more help*** Plus my mailbox got filled up.. =)
  17. I have an 87 and one thing I find makes a huge difference is your carbs. I suggest removing the carbs and going through them completely and cleaning them out. Use a high pressured stream of air to get alot of dirt and grime out, and make sure you whipe it all down good. When you say no fire I take it to mean its just not running, but my pops always told me one thing. To run you need to consider 2 things; Spark and Gas. So with that information in mind, if you have one... Your missing the other. If you narrow it down to one of those, we will lead you to the problem as well as helping you fix it. Good luck.. PS. Be careful, its addicting.
  18. Right now I have the single K&N... I had a set of the dual K&N's but I just sold them like 2 days ago.. I wonder if I can rig something up so that is fits in easier...Because I dont really dislike the current box I have, I just hate putting the bitch in place! Thanks for input though.
  19. I have no idea. But if I had to guess I would say steel
  20. I am sick of my airbox.. The thing is a POS and gets in the way too much. I would just get rid of it, but I sometimes hit water and ride in mud so that wouldnt work out to well.. Do they make a smaller airbox that will fit easier so I can take it out, or can I mod mine in any way to make it easier to remove?? When I tear down or assemble my shee I spend more time trying to get that SOB in then It takes to assemble the rest of it. Anyone moded their box? If so, can I see pics please?!
  21. I just sent my head out to be milled by Boonman, and I want to get everyone oppinion on how far I should get it done. I am running FMF Fatties, K&N with airbox modified, Twist throttle, TORS (still there ), and he is also lightening my flywheel. I run premium gas, and probably will run a higher octane starting this year. Cylinders are on stock bore. Now you have all my info. What do you all think? I do mostly trail riding, and get out to the dunes a few times a year. I probably want faster acceleration then anything, but let me know what you all have had done, and where you noticed it.
  22. Sold for $20 plus shipping on ebay via Buy It Now. The buyer just created his account so if it falls through I will sell it to anyone for that price. (20 + s/h, or a possible trade)
  23. Email me - [email protected] Family emergency... Sounds to me like a dead beat bidder.. bastards.
  24. woops, forgot to post the link... Heres the link Kinda sad that he already has 4 negative feedback too...
  25. I was looking at this, and noticed that it is a J-arm frame, red frame, same plastics as mine, same color swing arms, and those horribly gold rims... It claims it is a 93, but did they even make J-arm frames that late? Just curious.. Cause to me it looks JUST like my 87. Not to mention he doenst say anything about the missing front bumper and cracked plastic in the front, kinda looks like he might have messed up the front end a little?
