  1. SOUNDS the same... but i dont have any troubles with the clutch. It is flawless except for the noise. trying to push it with just the clutch pulled still works fine, anyone else out there getting this?

  3. Sorry for having so many topics, but I was working on my banshee and noticed that there was alot of side to side movement in my rear axle. I've never noticed it before so I'm thinking its not supposed to be there... It moves to the point where the break disc is forced to tilt. Is this a problem? If yes, how to fix/ what to replace..?
  4. It isnt that important because its not effecting anything in my clutch. It is just annoying and is quite loud. Still waiting on someone to post that has fixed it before.
  5. Whenever I am in nutral and shift down to first gear, i hear a loud noise. The noise sounds like either 2 objects hitting together hard, or maybe an object that is spinning coming in contact with an object that is not. If youve never had/dealt with this problem you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, but I'm hoping someone who has had this problem will see this and knows how to fix. Thanks

    Trinity Pipes

    I am looking for trinity racing stage IV pipes for my banshee. Good shape with minimal dents. PM me with replies and I will give you an email to send pictures to.

  8. so if the prices were identical for the SST and the Trinity pipe, lets just say $250 for a random number... The trinity would be a better buy? How are they on low thru mid range power?
  9. Which is a better pipe, the FMF SST, or the trinity stage IV pipes? I have done no mods to my engine as far as porting or boring. Also on the trinity racing site it says that (and dont quote me because I'm not looking at the site...Its down.) the stage IV pipe will bring your shee up to the 50's in HP while another top name pipe only brings you to the 30's.. Those numbers dont seem right but you get the point, it says on the site that they produce more HP then any other pipe on a shee. So now its your turn.......What is better and why. PS. I'm looking for a good all around pipe...I do trail riding and dunes.

  12. Ya, it is the carb top. Totally stripped on the actual carb so product that give you back threading wont work because it would make it smaller and then you would need a smaller top. So if I were to port my quad further down the road, would larger carbs be needed? Or will stock work fine?
  13. I have an 87 banshee and I am going to buy the FMF SST pipes. I have a K&N filter, and no snorkle on my airbox. One of my carbs has a stripped thread so I need to replace it (held on with locktite). I was just wondering if I should just get a new set of stock carbs, or should I go up some sizes? I am not sure what the purpose of larger carbs is, so with the FMF SST pipes and K&N filters should I be getting larger carbs or stock?
  14. Nope sorry, I'm either gonna go with the Fatty's if I can get them dirt cheap, but probably going to go with the SST's...They have a really wide powerband which I find fun =)

  17. Is $330 + s/h a good price for brand new FMF SST pipes?? I was thinking of going with the FMF fatty pipes but 50 more for the SST doesnt seem to bad...Please tell me if this deal is good or not. If you post yes, please tell me of a good silencer that will go with the SST
  18. Has anyone ever heard of the Fuel Catalyst made by Fitch? Two summers ago I stopped at a shop up where I was riding and the guy that owned the shop swore on these things with his life that they worked. I am considering giving them a try... If you are unformilliar with them heres the site. www.fitchfuelcatalyst.com I'd really like to hear from someone who has used them in their banshee or even car, lawnmower or whatever else they might have tried. If they work then how come I havent heard about them on here? It says that they "typically add 3-5 HP and ft. lbs. of torque", which I find hard to believe, but hey, someone prove me wrong!! Here is something I found from a banshee user. http://www.glinx.com/~ryder/smurphy.htm The only place I could find (only looked for a few minutes) that sold these online sold them for apprx. $50 for a pair http://raskcycle.com/parts/fitch.html However, I'm sure if you looked around you could find these for cheaper, but it makes you wonder if you really can add HP by dropping a pair of catalyst's in your fuel tank This might also be something to ask your local shops. I dont have one within 30 minutes of my house so I will leave that up to all of you

  23. I'm not formilliar AT ALL with proper jetting, so I probably gave you the wrong numbers. Possibly 270??? I have the needle in that came with my K&N kit.. I'm thinking real hard to remember what its called and I think its a K&N performance kit??? It came with needles and jets, K&N filter, pre-charger, cleaner and a cover for the filter. Im in michigan at sea level and my quad is running the best it ever has right now... When when you say mains you are talking about the peice you screw in to the carb correct? right into the float bowl? (Just making sure we are on the same page, or at least I'm on yours....) I havent gotten the pipes yet, but I love working on my quad so I want to learn this stuff =)

  25. What jetting would you all suggest for FMF Fatty's while using a K&N filter...Also what should I do with my airbox? remove lid completly, or just the snorkle. I trail ride so I dont want to remove the whole box. I'm not looking at my quad because its at my other house, but I think the jetting I have is 170, 2nd notch I'm thinking that with only the snorkle off it will be around 230-250 range? and w/out the lid maybe 270-290? Give me your oppinions....
