This may be the wrong thing to say (stupid) but I just got that same carb setup, and I am not picturing how the screw head popped off.... Are you tightening the idle.. or loosening. I just cant see how the screw would fall off from being tightened? ***EDIT*** Also I have pretty much the same setup except im at sea level and I have an MX port/polish.. I need to jet mine too, so whatever you come up with let me know. whoever knows about jetting... If i am at lower level then him, will I need a higher main, or lower..and also do i need lower or higher compared to him since I have port/polish?

I just got my top end rebuilt, and got it ported & polished blah blah blah He set me up for 93 oct. pump gas as far as squish and compression and blah blah As of now I have regualar pump gas, whatever octane that is... like 80 somethin, I already started her up with that gas in it because I wanted to see if it would start (which it did) So I want to go to premium now, should I just wait until i use up all this gas...or should I empty the tank out, and run the gas in the lines out until its dead.. then put in the premium?? Just want to know if there is a "safer" method as far as keeping the engine good and....not killing itself...

I know banshee's smoke alot... but after my top end rebuild it seems like it is smoking a whole lot more.. Not only that but smoke (small amounts) is coming from where my pipes connect to the engine, and and smoke is coming from the pipes themselves... Is there something wrong with my mixture? Sould i use different gas? I am using Golden Spectro 32:1 When I got it the guy said it has had that oil ran through it since day 1, so changing would be a bad idea.. Any ideas of what I have done wrong/ what I can do to reduce?

Just turn them the same amounts... Back when I had TORS I would go 1/2 turn at a time, do both while bike is running of course...If one seems to idle higher then the other, you can adjust them singley (sp?) to sync, then adjust them at the same time to get the right idle speed...hope that helps. Other then that, have fun! and congrats on purchasing the best quad that will ever be made...

Ok, sorry i forgot to post the fix... Problem: Had spark and fuel for sure. Fix: *I got it bored due to low compression *I got it ported (not related but hey...why not?) *Drained crankcase of "flooded" gas *Drained pipes of "flooded" gas I feel it was a combination of low compression and the gas in the crank.. However i didnt get to try and kick it over after I found out there was gas in the crank, only because I didnt have time to reassemble because I had to get the jugs to the shop within an hour of when I got them off.. ***EDIT*** PS, thanks for the help guys...can always count on you!!

I need a full set of rims. Good condition only, no colors, only aluminum. Also need front tires, and looking for rear paddles as well, so if you have front aluminums with good tires I may be will to buy fronts seperate from rears..

i suggest going with a milled head (or noss head with interchangable domes) and lightening the flywheel... boonman will do the milling and lightening, did mine, that was my next mod after pipes and i LOVE it

I too bought the manual on CD, but the problem is there is so much on there you cant find what you need.. (that or im retarded ) But I just bought a Clymer, and man oh man, that thing rocks.. The cd is NOTHING compared to it.. Invest.. Ebay for like $20

which would make sense why I started it up fine, let it run at idle for a few mins, gave it some gas, then shut her down. next day wouldnt start.. So thats a cold seizure.. Note to self, do not rev for (5 mins? 10 mins?) How long should I let it sit before I start giving it more then a LITTLE gas? I talked with the shop doing my top end work.. they said my left cylinder was 10 over, and the right was 20 over.. Just thougth i would mention that to you all, never knew you could do that, SAFELY.. I'm going up to 40 over, as well as the porting

I bought a stainless steel braided with coating twist throttle cable from terry cable. then I switched to 2 into 1 setup before I even installed the cable. So it is BRAND NEW, it is for TORS removed, however it comes with caps. This is what the bag says... YAM35051 TH BANSHEE W/P, G/G, M/P TURBO- 28-34 MIKUNI,AIRSTRIKER,KEIHIN,33-39 i think they gave me the wrong size anyways, seems too long, but oh well. Selling now. I will include the APPRX. 11x4 inch sticker that says TERRYCABLE, and a mini one too... The cable is sweet, I love Terry cable, I have one for my 2 into 1 setup.. I cant remember what i paid, i will find the receipt when I get home from vacation (sunday) I think it was like $55 + shipping.. so i would return but they probably want a restocking fee and crap...would rather just pass her on!

A place called bridgeview powersports. A guy that lives with my aunt in cali has them do his work, he said they do an A+ job... They just did port work for a guy on his banshee last week and they said it was F*ing ripping! Is there such a thing as a bad port & Polish job? I'm sure it can not be worth it AS much, but is there such a thing as a bad one...?

lol, i accidently splurged... took my jugs in to have them bored, left with a smile... Unfortunatly I talked myself into port, polish, bore, and having them assemble it...mainly just because I want it to run RIGHT.. When it comes to engines, I love to work on them, but when they arent working and i'm spending money to get it fixed... If i dont have somene next to me that can make sure i dont mess up, I choose the pro's... Sorry if I let you all down
