  1. Mine used to get a bad shimmey in the front end when I put my fast trekers on it. The only thing I did was get a some mods done to the motor,it made it fast enough for go thru the shimmey just like car that has a shimmey at a certain mph. I have not found anything to make it go away except for the speed. If anybody finds something better let me know.
  2. I've had one for awhile with no problems. Big difference over the stock. Get one.
  3. Yea I got your pm, thanks man I have been working on my frame trying to get it ready. That sounds good on that sprocket I will pm you in a day or two and let you know when I send the $$$.
  4. I have a -4 and a -2 swing-arm. If you are just out riding I would suggest using a stock or -1 swing-arm. When I have my -4 on the the bike I can't hammer down on it to hard because it will pick up the front end at just about any speed or gear,I also have a no link shock that helps me hook up . KMAC I would start out with a 15/40 on the gears and if that doesn't pull hard enough go up one tooth on the rear.
  5. I'm running 34pj's.
  6. Blue my bike pulls hard off the bottom, the gear I usally run is a 16/40 it will pull harder than what I need with that on small tracks, on the big tracks like 3/8 or 1/2 mile tracks I will put a 39 tooth on back and it is plenty of gear. When I took my boost bottle out my throttle responce get better, it will pull hard when I am just idling and hammer it without using my clutch.
  7. Blue you say would like to try your motor with the cpi's, well my your motor is just like mine except I have the cpi's. Man, like I have always said I've not ever rode a banshee that pulled so hard and it just keeps on pulling. If you ever get a chance to make a race that I'm at I will let ride you it and see for your self.
  8. I will race the open pro and open pro-am oval and the open pro-am tt.
  9. I always get the american racers 38 compound and just sipe the tires. That compound is soft enough to still get some good traction but not burn up in one race.
  10. I have been running the dyna ignition for awhile now. I had the degree key before I put the the dyna in. I could tell a big difference over the degree key with the dyna. You were asking if the dyna has a battery source, I don't know for sure but I would think it has some kind of a internal battery to remeber the power curves that are set in it. If anybody knows anything different about please let me know.
  11. Sounds good. The national race there is in Aug. I think. Let me know if you can make it if you can't bring your bike I will let you turn a few laps on mine.
  12. Hey Jim I have a badass RD400 at my house, do you know anybody interested in it. Just kidding, it's not in the way I was just making sure you didn't forget about.
  13. I need a 39 tooth sprocket. Let me know when he gets one made and I will send money and a address. Do you go race at the Dixiland Speedway in Elizabeth City, NC. There is national race there. If you get the chance go, there is a shorttrack and a TT race in one weekend.
  14. TT stands for tourist trophy. I'm not sure what that has to dowith anything. Most of your tt races are inside of an oval track. They use both the oval part and the infield part of the track. Most of the tracks you go in the infield in turn 2 of the oval and come out in turn 3 or 4, some have some jumps (small jumps) and some have few 180 degree turns. They are alot of fun and your suspension set-up is the most important part of the race.
  15. I dont have one on my bike but a guy I race with does and it seems to be pretty handy to have. When I'm changing my jets to try to get it to run good he just clicks his dial-a-jet and his bike runs good. I thought about getting one before the race season starts this year. If you find a good deal on one let me know.
  16. I plan on going to a few of the races this year, I'm not sure which one's yet. I am looking at the schedule now.
  17. Thanks for the forum, lets hear about some races coming up (when and where)
  18. Hey sick is this place near Ft. Drum, NY. I'm going to be there this summer for acouple of weeks. I have to do my 2 week summer drill there. If it is close I will come to the races on my time off.
  19. Does anybody know how to start a flattrack forum?
  20. Motul that sounds like one hell of a deal. I run the 3-1 offset fronts for my +3 a-arms.
  21. I have taken my bike out atleast 50 times since Jim did my motor with no problems. Everytime I get on my bike I ride it like I hate it when I get on a big track I will run the bike wide open for as long as I can and when I am on short track or a TT track I twist the shit out of it everytime. There is one thing to remember that everytime you ride you need run the best fuel you can get and keep your airfilter clean. I run only B32 out of the 5 gallon can and I strain it, I run the same oil everytime and I have a few airfilters so I'm always changing them. If you do these things your motor will run good for along time
  22. Blue that is the best "Boost Bottle" I have every seen in my life.
  23. I have a dura blue axle for sale, it's the 2+2 non-adjustable mx axle. It's not bent or messed up in any way. It's just the axle without hubs. Somebody make me a good offer or maybe willing to trade for a 2+2 adjustable axle. Thanks Jack
  24. I have one of Jim's stroker/longrod motors and it would take one hell of a bike to outrun my banshee, and thats no shit. Nax I raced a guy onetime that had trinity cheeta cylinders on his bike and I don't remember what pipes the guy had but he had the trinity single carb intake. I was lapping that guy and I blew buy that dude so fast I know it scared the heel out of him, because it it scared the shit out of me. I think you will be happier with the 2 carb set-up. If you race strickley mx just get like a set of 34mm carbs they will pull enough on bottom end and still have enough to smoke some fool to the finish line.
  25. I had 16/39 on my bike one time and was racing on a 1/2 track, the lady at the scoring table said we were doing 21 second laps. I ended up catching some lap rider and we were going so fast the little pebles of dirt and stuff flying up was putting blood spots on my face from hitting me so hard. That was proble the fastest I have ever been. The next time I'm going to try a 17/39.
