  1. should I used less coolant like 75% water and 25% coolant I gotta harescramble tomarrow and its gonna be like 75 to 80 degrees and I was wondering if I used less coolant if it would make my shee run cooler Thanks, Jonathan
  2. almost the same thing just happend to me, I was riding and then I tryed a stoppie and it die so I didn't think anything about it then when I backed up and tryed to crank it my kick started wouldn't move so I tryed to roll it off and still nothing, I think I know what could of happend though, I haven't rode it since it was like 40 degrees out and now its 80 degrees, is there any way to unsieze it because it has a brand new cylinders and pistons in it right now, Thanks, Jonathan
  3. I've got blaster shocks on mine and I don't think it lowered it any, and if it did you can't even tell.

  7. I use water pumper 2 "WP2" from my dealer and never had a problem outta it.
  8. I'm also wondering about the EBC kit from rocky mountain, I just ordered one yesterday for $77 bucks because there still outta Tusk Kits.
  9. if your talking about the little rubber plug right under the exhaust on the cylinder, It's just to keep coolant from going into the cylinder when you remove it, when I got my banshee it only had one and I took it out, so I guess you don't even need it if you don't want it.
  10. I have no ideal how old it is because i got it in a trade, and i don't know what it's suppost to look like either and it's the stock basket, and it's an 88' so I have know clue, I just know I saw grooves in my fingers on my baskets and I heard thats when you need a new clutch
  11. well when my power band kicks in its like my front sprocket is slipping but I know its not and I can hold it full throttle and it just revs up and then it finally starts going in my higher gears, so how would I know if it's slipping? and my clutch basket has grooves in it too.   12. yes I did use yammabond when I rebuild my motor and yes it was all over my tranny and is still all over my case "that stuff is really messy!". so I think that could be the problem, and I wasn't worried about the little pieces of metal because there was hardly any in ther I was just worried about the plastic crap I found.   13. I gotta RS stock wattage stator and love it my lights don't go off untill its at an idle, I would get it and it comes with an adj. timing plate with it.
  14. well when I took my cover off my nut on my crank was just hanging on a tiny bit, but it didn't look like my water pump gear was wore though, but I really didn't pay attention to it much. no I'm no the original owner I traded it for my yz250 from a buddy of mine, and I don't have kids and I'm the only one that rides it. my clutch does'nt have any cushions in it, and today I noticed that my basket had grooves in the fingers so I know it's time for a new clutch and basket. well I drained my new oil out today after I rode it a little and just a tiny bit come out in my oil, and last night I put gas into the bottem end 2 times and washed it out the best I could, I'm gonna change my oil again today and see how it looks so maybe it ended up stoping grinding what ever it was grinding, I'll keep ya'll posted, Thanks alot, Jonathan
  15. all those parts are there and in good shape, could my oil of had anything to do with it? I just put some ATF oil with some lucas oil in it like a day ago, the only reason was because i heard on here that it was the best oil to use in it.
  16. well today I drained my oil and all that stuff that way I could take off my clutch cover to fix my shifter, well I didn't look at my oil when I drained it I just set it aside, and I took off my clutch cover and it had stuff all in it, "I don't know what" so I decieded to check my oil and I have amost a hand full of shredded crap in my oil and in my clutch cover, it looks like 3% of its metal and the rest 97% looks like shredded plastic or something, I took my clutch off and everything and couldn't find anything wrong, Is there something plastic in the transmission that could of got shredded? I'm stumped! could of something plastic or something fell into my motor and it shredded it or have I gotta serious problem on my hands? The only thing I know that is plastic is my water impeller gear and it looks fine. or could it be the impeller it's self? Thanks in advance, Jonathan
  17. when I got mine last week I had the same problem but I just taped it into place, but it was well worth it because my lights stay bright until it go's all the way back down to an idle!

I just got my banshee fixed friday and when I hit 2nd gear it just won't shift to 3rd, I have to kill the engine and rock it back and forth to get it to start shifting again, but after I get into 3rd it shift's fine and it only doe's it when I stop some times and some times it will shift 1st to 6th no problem, I have checked my shift star and it looks good and it will shift no problem 1st-6th with the motor off, could it be my clutch? I've got the same problem right now, it runs fine at wot, I started with a 48 pilot and a 180 main, I'm down to a 40 pilot and I'm still running the 180 main because it feels perfect at wot and every thime I do a plug check my plugs are solid black, my needle is in the middle and my air srew is 1 1/2 srew out, and my mods are below, I'm at around 1500ft and its around 60 degrees here in georgia.   22. I just bought numbers and stuck one under my grill on to my radiator and it looks bad ass.
  23. when I had my blaster I would just take off the seat and theres a know on top of the tors just like a banshee and you twist it and it idles up or down. hope this helps.

It everything interchangable from the RZ engin to the shee engin Yes it will No you have to used an rz head or used a rz cool head Yes you can use a battery or you can get an battery eleminator off e-bay you have to get the Rz cylinders, powervalves, head, CDI, wiring harness, stator, flywheel, power valve servo motor, PV cables, and anything else I might be forgetting for the RZ top-end to work properly, I was planing on doing an RZ conversion but then I figured it would be alotta work so I backed out, but now I kinda wish I would of. I just ordered a new stator and timing plate from RS and I need to know how much I can advance my timing, here are my mods, 33mm trinity 2into1 carb motofast 2into1 pipe ported stock reed cages with boyesen reeds cut airbox with UNI air filter and I run nothing but 93 octane gas with WP2 oil mixed at 40:1, I just don't wanna advance it too much and blow my new engine into pieces, Thanks, Jonathan
