  3. Rubber are for Noise reduction and are not needed. If your clutch is slipping order 3 Tommey clutch spring and It won't slip. http://www.toomey.com/html/engine_parts1.htm
  4. I have painted my Shee front plastic with Black Fusion wet sanded it after each coat with 400 than 600 grit . Shines like no other. Drying time in 70 degree is about 2 hours So if it dull you have bad can.Prep, cleaning, sanding, temps play a major role in a good job.
  5. Do you need a Shift shaft?
  6. Sometimes it's Ok to stand in line. It's the BEst place for it. And No you can't cut the Thermometer shaft and still make it work.
  7. Why are you into a 05 clutch already?
  8. Hear is how I feel about my Shearer Pro
  9. My Bad I should of called it a Wet Hot Air Vent. Muhehehehehee
  10. That makes sense to. The Shift Drum is not a technical Marvel On modern engineering. He said he install new shift forks too? Break in time may be needed to seat them steel pins for little smoother shift.
  11. I personal Like Jim alot has Been alot of Help to Me. Setup Choice etc... But remeber Everyone can have a problem with Part seletion when you run a engine on the extreme side . Is my motor Perfect No it isn't. AM i happy with it Hell Ya It's one of the strongest Stock cyclinder Banshee around Here. Would I use Jim agian Double Hell Ya. It make more Torque than Any Banshee I rode so far. My 4 mill stroker Pulls very Hard out of the Hole . In the Sand At the Hill we drag. I can put the back tires on the Face of the hill The steep part, Most like the 30 foot run so they can get the speed needed go fast up it. But Jim 12 port 4 mill will Climb better than Most Any banshee or 450 4 stroker I have come across. and when I do lose( Not very Often) it'is to Some underweight Little kid that's 1/2 my weight and he has Nos.
  12. I modded my Own shift Star and it Stops on the peaks also But. that is when it was on the work Bench it's Never Missed a Shift when running. Maybe the Arm with the little wheel has some drag or burr creating stall between shifts. One thought.
  13. StClark, Noob41 Not the Only One Striring the Shit around Here. Seam to me Than some Poeple Opinions Only Count if You run the Same Stuff they Do, Which is Utter Bullshit. So would you PLease Break your Little Brother's Stick.
  14. The Thing I like about SHearer Pipes is the Builder Background. Not many Had the Schooling Matt Shearer had with Kenny Roberts And race Team.Hard to beat a Grand National Race winner. But I will Agree with Nugshee All three of them Pipes Are Great Choice, All 3 have a Hard pulling Topend. Look for Deals, Prices, Chrome or Not, style, workmanship. Customer Service Etc... Good Luck making your mind up with All the Choices out there.
  15. It's my understanding that this Line is a Steam vent . Propose is to remove air bubbles in the Head to Cool it better. With an Air bubble in the head you Loose the water contact to the interior walls which reduces thermal heat tranfer. Fix it Soon .
  16. Ballpark for T5 is 9000 rpm. Other mods can add alittle
  17. who did your Modded Star?
  18. I think what Wassup350 is telling me is the 450 setup can brake the ball joints with the added pressure of 2 inch of preload pressure. Over time I think a Mx'er could possible loose an Arm. And is a Very valid Point to consider. But and Oldman duner like me Could be Just fine for long time with this setup.I don't look for alot of air time. Thx guys Great info.
  19. I agree 200 dollars Vforce reed is the Only reason I am running ported TDR's. But i also believe That I would make more power if i ran them. So they are on my List of future upgrades but are more towards the bottom of the list.
  20. Not all gauges will read the same. I bought a 29 dollar Autozone with Screw in hose. My Shee was little over 180 with 19cc domes But remeber It's a 4 mill stroker and I don't run gaskets on my spacer plate. So my Compression reading is alittle tigher than stock setup. But with my buddys gauge on it at StAnthony it was 170 which is about 400 to 500 feet higher and with a Mac gauge. So it can all & will be different. But i am baselined So now I know where I am at. This is Good basic info for engine tuning. Notes are also a great tuning tools. So write it down.
