  1. with 327 Make it a rev monster man.....its there...you just gotta make it spin
  2. this noise coming from the clutch side you guys are talking about, does it sound like those desk top metal balls on strings that you pull the one and it transfers the energy through to the one on the opposite side? Another thing it sounds like is those clapper ball things on the end of a V that connects to a rod that you clap back and forth, looks like this: o<|>o
  3. Go with that.....his shiznit is quality
  4. you have to buy a pro taper adapter for the 1 1/8 bars. Do a google search for pro taper and you'll find their website.
  5. they are for 7/8" bars, stock size bars.
  6. 2" rox risers, like new condition. Cant use it with my setup so off they go. 50+ shipping and they are yours. sell for 70+ shipping new. I'll try to get pics up but heres what they look like: http://www.roxspeedfx.com/bar_riser.cfm?prd=atv
  7. I'm now thoroughly frustrated. well, hopefully this trail tech bar clamp has enough rise that its going to clear my IMS tank. Go and take a look at my rox risers, and they have 8 little allen bolts to tighten your bars down. Guess I'm not slapping the trail tech clamp on top of it. What a bunch of retards to make the bolt sequence different than a stock setup. I'm gonna email them and tell them they're retards too..... :Edit: Update on this....hopefully it'll work, I installed the trail tech bar mount (its really wide and hits a little bit at full lock on each side. I'm gonna install some washers inbetween the steering stem and the frame and hopefully it'll bring it out enough. Guess I'm gonna go with the Mid Bend or low bend, not sure yet. I put the renthals in there and kinda tried to size it up. They'll be close, but I think with the washers added they'll clear as well. On a side note......any one want some 2" rox risers?
  8. I have a top case and stock shocks off a 2001 I'll sell you for 175 + shipping. Case is in perfect shape I believe (will go look), and shocks have maybe 20 hours on them before I bought my works.
  9. looking for any trades? What a-arms are the shocks set up for?
  10. they your carbs? PM me your reserve on them.
  11. What he said....that'll get rid of that questioning and if its not we can go on to other things. Banshee's come stock with 200's. You sure those mains dont say 290? You are way lean if its 190. While you have the carbs off (if it doesnt already) get yourself some boyeson dual stage epoxy reeds. It will improve the throttle response drastically and make the quad a lot more manageable. (make sure you get rid of those metal reed stops, they are worthless)
  12. got any pics? Post here or send to [email protected] What ya lookin to get for them? They are the fat bar style right? What bend are they?
  13. holy crap those bars sit up high meat. I guess I wont notice it as much when I have the IMS tank on. You've got the same exact setup I'm starting to hook up. How you like the computer? What have you found it good for? Gas mileage etc etc? Thats the main thing I want it for, to know how long I can go on my IMS tank down at Hatfield-McCoy
  14. Realtors are a great tire, if you dont know what your getting yourself into, they are definitely a good tire to be wearing. Only complaint is that they only come in a 22" tire (harder turning, bigger turning radius, and make you sit up on the tank), and that they arent very controllable in powersliding, they'll grip and then slip out on you the next second. I've run Black Waters and they are a very good tire and come in a 20" tire. The tread is wicked (especially when they are new), powersliding is pretty controllable, and for a 20" tire, you cant beat the hook in the sloppy stuff. Right now I'm running the mud sharks as well. They are a decent tire at 21"s and dont make you sit up on the tank and dont notice them being taller than a 20" really. They hook decently everywhere but where they excel is in mudholes. I dont know what it is about them, but they just like to go through mudholes like they are nothing, really quite amazing.....I was down at Hatfield-McCoy and hit this mudhole that was deeper than I anticipated (especially for no airbox lid), and it pulled through it like butter.....it surprised me so much that I turned around and hit it again for good measure.
  15. around 120 psi is where you want to be at for compression. As far as your pilot jet, I would think going to a 27.5 or even leaving it stock at 25 would be alright. I'm running a 27.5 pilot with the fatty's on my 2nd shee. 280 or 290 main if I'm not mistaken (been a while since i've been in there) And as far as the cheap compression gauges not giving accurate numbers, I've found that over time, as long as its reading the same number, the compression gauge is working. Check it every once in a while and when the compression starts dropping, you know your top end is starting to wear out. If the gauge is unreliable and all over the board with psi numbers....time to get a different gauge.
  16. I just got a computer that came with a mount for Fat bars such as Pro-Taper, and wanted to get some nice bars anyway. I'm going to be running a 2" riser to clear my IMS tank and wanted to know what type of bend I should get that is going to help me to pull up over obstacles and give me good control all around. I'm thinking a low bend because of the riser, but all opinions are greatly appreciated. Just dont want to get the wrong bar for my riding (woods, tight rocky hillclimbs, coal, etc etc) Those who run the Pro-Tapers, all I really hear people say is that they like them alot and such. What do you guys actually like about them compared to other bars
  17. .

    pro tapers

when you people say you like the bars, what do you like about them? I'm also looking into getting a set and what type bend should I get thats gonna make me be able to pull up easier. Take into consideration I'm also going to be running a 2" riser to clear my IMS tank. I'm thinking low bend.....but not sure
  18. New pics hopefully coming soon. Shee looks so different now:
  19. If it is CHROMED it will weaken the frame. If you Nickel Plate it, no harm no foul. Powderchrome is the way I'm going next winter though. Here's another chrome frame.....and the second one is just thrown in for added measure
  20. I would go with the Razr's over the Holeshots. Dont have experience with the tires but I was feeling the lugs on the HD's and they are really soft. My next rear tire is going to be either the Razr2's (when I get my -1 on if my holeshots hook up), or a set of 20" blackwaters. <~~~tires are badass, and have a tonnnn of bite for a long time after the edges wear off unlike holeshots with a stock swingarm setup they just want to spin.
  21. going by his posts....this guy has sold this quad like 4 times now.....sold it on ebay supposedly....still havent seen the link
  22. I dont know about on your bike, but on mine, the shock is inbetween the swingarm, and the axle nuts are on the outside of the carrier, I've stomped a few axle nuts off in my day......dont have much room.....but its worked. As far as getting the hub off, turn your shee on its left side so that you can get pb blaster to seep down into the splines. PB BLASTER being the main word there. Take a hammer and hammer around it in a circle pattern and eventually it'll start to come off. If not, hammer it some, and then spray some more pb blaster. Every time you hammer it after you spray, it should seep a little more into new cracks. Eventually it should come loose. Some heat will help the issue some.
  23. If you dont want paddles and run in the sand, I would say get a pair of Blackwater's if you want 20" tires, and Realtor's (heavy) if you want a 22" tire. They are both good tires that will hook good in sand, and still run good everywhere else as well. Only downside to the Realtors is that on dirt and slippery type areas they arent really good for powersliding, they'll slip out on you if you dont pay attention, and I think they make me sit up on the seat to far, turning radius increases with the rake etc etc. They will get you through pretty much everything though. Mudsharks are also decent at 21 inches, but they are really soft and wear pretty quick.
  24. I used the boxes I got my front and rear plastics in, nice and skinny and they fit perfectly. Only problem was that when I used the 2 boxes taped together as one box....it was oversized and was a mint to ship.... Luckily the fenders I was selling were cut in the front and I could stuff them all in one box......was a hell of a lot cheaper.
  25. Put it in gear, have someone hold the wheels and give the pipe wrench a couple good stomps and hopefully it'll break loose. And I'm a Fan of PB blaster myself.....zep 45 is my backup
