  2. Hello, I have an MX port from Passion racing. i am running a 340 main in stock carbs and 25 on the pilots. I live In pottsville...only about an hour or so from Willkesbarre. Take a look at my mods and see... I prolly could get away with a 330 main. Nick
  3. Hello, i had a similar situation. Turned out my stator was garbage. The epoxy on the the stator that holds the wires in place was cracked. Ran fine untill the motor warmed up and the epoxy expaned. That caused the wires to become loose, thus the shorting out and popping and missing. Worth a look... Compression is low also....how do you get it to run on 90psi ? Later, Nick

  7. Hello, Um....i was under the impression turning the air screws out leaned the pilot circuit out.....and turning them in richend it up a bit. Did oyu adjus t hte air screws or the idle screws on the top of the tors units ? Nick

  11. Hello, I dont run that oil...but I do mix my Klotz at 32:1. That is a good mix... provides ample performance and good lubrication. What does your oil tell you to mix at ? Nick
  12. Hello, The only people who say Banshees are a pain in the ass...are the people who are afraid they will get stomped on by one .... Banshees are a finicky machine...sometimes....but is well worth it. Also they are cheaper to rebuild...no valves to mess with ...less moving parts. My banshee is a 95. It just recieved its first new topend this winter. Only went .10 over. Like anything else....take care of it....it will take care of you. get the banshee...and whoop some 4-choke ass.... Seriously tho...dont let people scare you. The banshee is not a hassle to maintain. Ultimatly the choice is yours.....but I ride anything with my shee...trails, hills, coal..whatever... Nick

  14. hello, you will really need to port the jugs for optimal power. I would port for your type of riding...it seems your trying to build a drag bike...so get a drag port.... I am not a engine guru..but adding a few cc's prolly wont gain you alot of ground.... besides...now you need to flow more air/fuel to feed the need beast.... Port it ...you wont be sorry... Nick
  15. hey all, thanx for all your suggestions...I did end up lowering the jets down to a 310.... and still had sputter and miss... I cleaned the di-electric grease off the coil connection and tighened it up... Bam...all miss and sputter gone... I am stuck on a 330-340.. i hevent gotten time to test it out and get a final jet setting... But it hauls ass now Nick
  16. Hello, I was just wondering what a set of keihin pwk 28 carburators would do for my bike. My mods are listed below. I presume it would help my port job out a lot, yes/no? If sombody could list the pros/cons(if any) of adding a set of these to my ride I would be grateful. Also...what size jets would I need approximately? I have heard that jetting these is easier than the stock carbs? If so how come? Would i benefit in getting larger than 28mm carbs now...if I plan to stroke or adjust my port work for my power ? Will the 28's fit the stock intake boots ? sd there a loss of bottom end ( what litte there already is) ? Gains in mid range or top end ? Thanks in advance..... Nick
  17. Hello, I have done plug checks.... They look good. Thats why I cant figure it out. I have sawed apart about 4 sets of plugs.... Liek i said runs good wide open...mid range blows....and it smokes quite a bit no matter what...(Not white smoke either..its oil smoke) Lowered pilots to 25's needle in middle...360 mains on mods beloew and a cut airbox.   19. Hello, I had a problem before with not having any midrange. I ended up going down to 25's on the pilots and cutting my airbox. I am currently jetted at 25,360 I have: MX port (Passion racing) K&N filter and cut airbox +4 adv. Timing Milled head (.027) and whatever else is n my sig... I cant even ride the beast...because the mid bogs sooo bad.... It doesnt foul plugs...tho Do I go down on the main jetting? Liek I said its a 360... i was using that when the air was cold and it ran fine. I jsut dont want to melt my shit down before coalfest. I just want to be able to ride..... Oh.. and my stupd left carb has a problem with the carb slide...the little brass nub that keeps the slide from turning around in the carb keeps working its way out causing the slide to turn and mess shit up. Any fixes for that lil nub besides a new carb case? Please help me.. I havent been able to ride for 3 weeks now cuz of this crap....help a banshee brotha out... Thanx all

  25. Hello, Black and wet would indicate an over all rich mixture. What were you mixing at before ? 32:1 is probably the most common ratio. You can mix higher than that, just make sure teh oil is formulated to do so.. The mix ratio will play somewhat on your jetting.... i would look into it before damage is done. Nick
