  1. Hey guys I am looking at getting a new rear shock. Planning to go Elka to match my fronts but not sure about the linkage. I'm sure the rear shock on it's own would be awesome so is it worth the extra $500.00 to get the linkage as well??
  2. Damn... that's the long weekend... I wont be around
  3. I was down at ST. A's a couple years ago and met up with a couple young fellers in their 60's. They were very nice guys, very good riders and very hard to keep up with. We had a great time riding with them for the week we were there. I'm pushing 40 now and hope to be riding like them at their age. You work all your life to get to retirement so you better enjoy it when you get there.
  4. I'm in for Brule... let me know when, I haven't made it out there yet this year. We were planning to go last week but it didn't work out.
  5. I just ordered one of these... I will let you all know what kind of difference I see once I get it and install it. I currently have a Pro Design impeller but I didn't see any difference when I installed that.
  6. Try Stellar/AZ Customs I'm sure he could set you up... If not they have all the parts separate here as well. http://jjandaracing.com/
  7. I run TM's on mine and haven't had any problems...
  8. I would definitely be interested if it actually works and makes a difference. My 485 runs about 20-30 deg. hotter than my buddies 421. When I switched from the stock impeller to a ProDesign it didn't make any difference.
  9. I've been running an RM Stator for the last 3 years with no problems. People says they "look" the same as Ricky Stator but I don't know if they "are" the same. If they are the same maybe I just got a good one...
  10. There is a group of us from Edmonton Alberta heading to St. Anthony's in Sept. We are leaving here Friday afternoon on the 18th to be there Saturday morning, then coming back the next Saturday. If anyone else is interested in coming along or meeting up there or on the way, just let us know, the more the merrier.
  11. My wife and I are heading out to Brule from Wednesday to Friday, July 1-3. We are planning on camping at the top near the map sign. If anyone else is interested in coming out, that's where we will be. She will be riding her buggy with the sled motor so we will be easy to find.
  12. Do they actually make any difference??
  13. Same deal, a buddy of mine is big into RC's and may be interested, but you need to give a price...
  14. The 450 front end would be a big improvement over stock, but an aftermarket front end set up for your weight and riding style would still be better.
  15. Leaving a Banshee idling will make it overheat for sure, because you have no air flow.... best is to stop at the top and point into the wind if possible. That will cool the rad quick but not the engine, so wait a couple minutes and fire it up for about 30 seconds to circulate the coolant, then shut it down and wait a couple more and you should be good to go.
  16. You can get the rear stock shock rebuilt to work pretty good, but they will still never be as good as a properly set up aftermarket shock. I'd go with the Axis especially if it's set up close now. You could always get it re-set up for your weight and style later when you get some extra cash.
  17. Stardust is awesome in the sun... mines black though...
  18. Kinda like Volfan's but I had to make one fit an anti-vibe....
  19. Maybe it's just the angle of the picture but it looks to me like your clutch lever it bent way up. Not sure about 39mm but I had to bend my clutch lever down a bit to clear 34mm with stock cylinders. It was easy enough to bend and it didn't cause any problems.
  20. Leave the brake line attached to the caliper and put the vacuum pump line on the bleeder valve... then pump it up and use a wrench to open the valve. Two things to remember... 1- Keep the top off the master cylinder and don't let it run dry and suck air in. 2- Don't let the vacuum line fall off the bleeder valve while the valve is open or it will suck air in. #1 is way more important than #2 It helps to have a second person just filling the master cylinder while you use the vacuum pump.
  21. no thx... I'm running 10 haulers now but could use a little more, 12 haulers would probably be just about right. I think 13 extremes would be too much for me
  22. Cool man thx
  23. Nope, they are discontinued... that's why I'm looking for used ones. Wish I would have grabbed another set last year.
