  1. Get a hitch on that thing and a cheap trailer. For $300 you are good to go. CLICK HERE
  2. Ok, I need some advice here. I have had Shees for a few years now and have not really messed with the shocks. I mostly ride in the sand so I've never really worried about it. Can somebody tell me what the different adjusters do. On the rear I have the black knob that can be twisted and then the nut on top to compress the spring. On the front I have the nut on top and it looks like different height settings on the bottom. Basically I'm just wondering what will happen to the ride by turning each adjuster.
  3. Yep, you are lean. Take it easy or you will be replacing a top end.
  4. Yep, get those things on there and then give us a report. They sure look nice and I'd rather have them than be another CPI rider.
  5. Does anybody actually have Rocket Pipes? I know everybody has "heard" how great they are but the only people I know of that have them also sell them. I'd rather support the smaller guys than CPI but I can't seem to find much out about these things.
  6. I'm suprised nobody has said this yet but I wouldn't recommend porting your own cylinders. There is a science to it that take a lot of practice to get just right. I'd rather have a slow bike that a dead bike after I fucked up my cylinders. There are some pics of porting on here if you do a search. Good luck.
  7. Start spraying those bolts down. Give it some time and then hit them with your cheap ass electric impact. They will come out much easier than you think once they have been lubed up. I thought mine would never come out and then they spun out so fast I couldn't get my finger off the trigger fast enough. Like everybody else said, DO NOT cut them. If you do you will end up having a nightmare trying to get the threaded part out.
  8. Does anybody have anything to say about Rockets v CPI's that doesn't sell them? I'm leaning towards CPI becuase of reputation but those Rockets sure look nice.
  9. Don't forget about new bearings for the pivot if they are old. It's also a good time to put a new roller on if you still use the round kind.
  10. Ahh, I see. You are still a newlywed though. My Gf was talking about getting married and I let her know that I wasn't ready for it because I still liked having sex. Actually my ex put out all the time so marriage can't be that bad. Ofcourse most of the time I wasn't involved.
  11. So they never call you?? Just kidding, they always seem to catch me at bad times too. Haven't had any on the cell yet though.
  12. If you tip the Shee up on it's side you can get away with just losing a little coolant plus you don't have to drain the oil.
  13. What does it do? Well it looks cool of course! I think the main advantages are being able to see your tires/suspension. Less drag/higher top speed. I took mine off after coming to the top of a dune and catching a gust of wind that almost flipped me backwards. What Idahaspud sad is true though. I got just as muddy with the fenders on becuase you really only catch the mud when turning.
  14. Yep, use the PB. I got mine at Schucks/Cragar for about $3. I sprayed my 94 Explorer everyday for a week. Before I started I couldn't budge those things even with the 24" breaker bar. After they were sprayed the electric impact took them out like they were in butter. Two of my bolts were in such a tight spot I had to use a regular socket and 10" ratchet. I thought they would never come out but after a week of spraying they were no problem. That stuff is great at loosening things up if you give it some time. I'd spray your bumper bolts now to if you will be raising them up with the body.
  15. My parents are full time RV'ers. They use Verizon to fun their laptop through. They do have areas that they can't get good enough reception to hook up though.
  16. Well now you have gone and pissed me off!! Actually there are two ways of looking at it. I have mine cut because I mostly ride in the dunes so I don't have to worry about mud flying everywhere. When I ride trails I get dirty. Who cares! It's part of riding. I like being able to see my front tires in tight terrain. The other side is the people who ride mostly trails and want the extra protection from rocks, mud, Hondas........ I always have a helmet on so if I get muddy or catch a rock it doesn't bother me.
  17. Why don't they turn out? What kind of truck? I did my Explorer and just sprayed all the bolts with PB Blaster everyday for a week. They all came out fine with a small electric impact gun.
  18. Well, I can proudly say that I'm a cheap bastard too. Actually, the X gets all my money so I don't have a choice either way. I got one of those swingarms you are talking about. I got it bare and just put a few coats of paint on it. I just found the closest color to stock that I could and started spraying. So far the arm has been great and the paint is fine. For $3 a can I can paint it every ride if I want to and still be cheaper than chrome or PC.
  19. Where are you at?
  20. Yep, I have almost no fenders on the front but most of the mud comes from the rear tires. I wasn't going to cut mine but I came flying up a hill and right at the top a gust of wind caught those big fenders and damn near flipped me over. I haven't missed them at all and it's nice to see the front tires when you are out in the woods dodging stuff.
  21. That's when you say put up or shut up. I've raced a few Predators at the dunes and after the first 50 feet they are just eating sand. If I dropped that kind of $$ into a turd on wheels I'd probably talk shit too though to try and save some face.
  22. I'm not sure if you need the snorkle but the box is probalby a good thing to keep. I have clamp ons and love them. I went through a big puddle this weekend though and killed it. Twenty minutes later I FINALLY got it started and it cough and sputtered for a while. Banshees don't seem to like water.
  23. Well, you aren't missing much. After your last post they started to make sense and then they started ripping each other for being immature. The thread is locked now ofcourse. That place is a serious waste of time. When HQ was down I checked it out and couldn't find a single thread worth replying to.
  24. Unless you agree 100% with the moderators over there you may as well not post. It really pisses me off when they lock or delete threads because they don't agree with something said. That place is only good for kids BS'ing about their bike. I have never seen a bit of good technical info over there.
  25. If you are sure your jetting is correct I would swap out the stator or CDI. I had a bad CDI once that caused the same symptoms.
