Just my opinion but I think the type of person that would be looking for a bike like that would rather build it from scratch. You might do better by parting it out. I doubt anybody on here would dump that kind of $$ into a bike they hadn't built themselves.
Yep, that's a typical deadbeat bidder. They don't respond until you leave them a negative feedback. I have four negatives so far. Three were from non paying bidders and one was from a bidder that wanted to keep the item I sold and get a full refund. Uhh......no thanks.
If you are spitting out oil it sure sounds like you are rich. Running at 50:1 doesn't sound rich at all though. I'm at 32:1 and never see oil.
How does the bike run? Maybe you aren't getting a good spark and things aren't burning fully.
Do them both. The flywheel just allows it to rev faster. Advancing the timing increases HP slightly. I did the flywheel, timing, and shaved head at the same time. Felt like I bought a new bike.
Make sure all your connections are dry. Look at the simple things first. You may have gotten some water in your carbs. I went through a big puddle and sucked in a bunch of water. Kicked it for about ten minutes and got nothing. Finally had another bike pull me and if fired up after a while. I'd try getting a tow for some distance to get things moving and dried out.
Depends on what you are riding on. My bike can't pull a 15 in deep sand with paddles when I'm in 5th or 6th. A 15 works great on open roads though. I usually drop to a 14 in the sand and the 12 if I'm doing lots of tight trails.
Sounds like he wants more top end. I'd say just play with the front sprocket. They are cheap and easier to change. You can't fine tune quite as much but it just depends on what you are after. I have a 12,13,14, and 15 with me when I go out.
REALLY horny fat chicks molesting me as I'm tied naked on a bed.
Actually, having something happen to my kids scares me the most. If anybody ever hurt them I would kill without a second thought. Of course then I'd be in jail and be somebody's biotch. Do they have BHQ is prison?
Hey Andy,
That's the bike on SLD right? Way too much money! They do go for a lot more out west than back east though. If you know somebody on the east coast have them pick one up for you. I got my 2000 for $2800 in NY and it was spotless when I got it. Paid about $500 to ship it so it ended up saving atleast $1000 over buying the same bike out here.
I would bet that it had aftermarket pipes on it before you bought it. The owner probably put the stock pipes back on but didn't rejet it. Check your plugs but it sure sounds like you are rich.
Well, I'm taking it back out this weekend to play with the adjustments some more. I liked the front end better than before but the back end was terrible. You are right about the pogo stick thing. Going through the whoops I thought the back end was going to go right over the top of me.
Ok, sorry it took so long to get back to this. Went out riding this weekend and my suspension sucked!! I think I made the back end as soft as possible and it was so bouncy I could hardly keep the back end down. I turned the knob on top all the way soft, I also turned the spanner rings all the way to the top. I didn't mess with the bottom thing becuase I didn't know what it did. The front shocks just have the notched collar on the bottom so I turned them so the ride was lower. I'm guessing that is all that can be done with them.
So what makes the rear suspension better? Soft or hard? I thought going soft would let it absorb the whoops but it just bounced the back end right back up and off the ground.
I think those commercials are great. They target the same market the the cigarette makers are going for.
As for banning smoking in public places, they should do it. They don't ban it because non-smokers don't like it, they ban it because second hand smoke kills people. I don't really feel like dying just becuase some asshole felt the need to light up next to me.
