  1. The lock-up doesn't make your clutch pull any harder, it's the springs. Well at least my lock up didn't make the pull any harder.
  2. Maybe if budget permits.
  3. Finally got it broke in today. Changed the oil for the first time then went for a short ride. I have to say i'm pretty impressed with the power it has even in stock trim. Talked to Jeff at F.A.S.T and got me a Sparks pipe coming soon! Think i'm also gonna so with the velocity tube intake. Looks like it would be pretty good. Then i'll probably do the cam mod within the next couple weeks. Any other small things I should do that you guys can think of?
  4. Yeah I've seen the Ron Woods but they are kinda ugly and way to big in my opinion. I know they are a great top end pipe but i'm not really looking for that all out top end for my 450...that's what I got the banshee for. I'm thinking Sparks big core, cam mod, filter kit with maybe a velocity tube or just might keep the stock air box with the lid removed. I'm not really looking for a big bore or anything to extreme. I haven't even got the motor broken in yet but the more I open her up she really wants to scream. I'm pretty impressed with it. I really like the low end that it has. But I have noticed that it has a slight bog right off idle when you mash it. Alot of people have this problem too. Anyone else? Does the pipe and filter get rid of that? Thanks for all your replies guys!
  5. Does he have the updated tranny on that '01? The transmissions were bad that year for some reason. If not done already, that is a must on an '01.
  6. Gonna be getting me a '06 YFZ450 tomorrow...i know i know it's a 4-stroke but I got a good price on it...$5500 brand spankin' new still in the crate! Anyway my question is what kinda exhaust and intake you running? Cam-mod or no cam-mod? That kind of stuff. I've looked all around for exhaust reviews to see which one is the best but nobody really gives a good answer plus I trust HQers more than other people. Thanks for your help guys!
  7. Shit...Crap-On is a joke. All you pay for is the name. They are waaaaay overpriced. I have a Craftsman one and it works great.
  8. I have them on my shee and they seem to be really tough. All the ball joints are sealed also. I got them in +2/+1. Fitment was really good. Didn't need to hammer on anything to get them to fit. They look really nice as well. Top notch if you ask me.
  9. Leaded gas doesn't hurt a thing...if anything it helps. I wouldn't run it in your car though cause it will ruin your O2 sensors.
  10. Thanks alot man. Hope you enjoy the pipes.
  11. I finally played with my Electra for the first time this weekend. It shot pretty consistent but I broke a few balls when trying to achieve the 30 bps. I definatly think it needs a new barrel but I can't decide if I want to buy a DYE or a J&J ceramic that some of you have been talking about. I want more straight shot distance and maybe a little more velocity. What would you suggest?
  12. I'd say it's worth every penny. I really like mine. I wouldn't say they suck at all. Great for trails and duning so I think you would really like it. I had mine on my stock motor with T-5s and it ran really well.
  13. For those with the DYE barrels...did you notice a difference in the accuracy or distance? I've heard alot of good things about Dye barrels. My Electra came with a pretty good barrel that's rifled inside. Seemed to shoot pretty nice but there is always room for improvement. Just wondering is the extra money is worth spending on a new barrel. I love the e-markers. I wouldn't go back to a manual trigger. I've played with a Tippman 98 before which they are nice a reliable but you can't shoot them as fast as an e-marker. Most of my friends play with manual triggers so I'll see how I match up to them this weekend. We usually play with 8-10 people which ain't bad. The more the better I think.
  14. Just curious who all on here plays some paintball. If you do what kind of gun setup you got? I just recently bought a Spyder Electra ACS. Seems really nice...haven't really had a chance to shoot it yet. Says it's supposed to shoot up to 30 balls per second. I guess i'll just have to see for myself this weekend.
  15. I think you should be worrying about your ride more than his...
  16. I was running a mid-top port job and it ran very strong. But now I got a cub motor in the works so I'll have to see how it runs with the single.
  17. quality over quantity...i'm with you on that one
  18. I had the same problem I just used a little sealant on the threads and retorque the nuts and that helped. Then after I put new domes in it I went with the acorn nuts and those seem to work alot better. No problems with them so far.
  19. I've run the single carb with my stroker and I have no complants. I'm sure I could gain a couple hp on top with duals but I already have the single carb also and it is way easy to tune and what not so I didn't want to get rid of it. If you think you are gonna have no power with the single carb then you're wrong. I had plenty of power everywhere. Hauled pretty good ass if I do say so myself. But that's just me. Other people are gonna say that dual carbs is the way to go and yes that's true for all out hp but the single carb still works very well for me.
  20. Depends on if you got a cool head with higher compression domes. You could run their VP 110 or their C12 which is like 108 octane I think. Might not even need the race gas.
  21. Well the stingers are fine but the silencers still look like shit. Still not what I paid for. I will definatly call you if the new head pipes leak or chip.
  22. Rocket Pipes...i'm sure you all know the story.
  23. I have a set and they seem to be pretty good. I really like them. I ride alot of trails and jump a bit and they seem to do really well. No complaints so far.
