yep,You shound grind the ports so the rings won't hang up on them.just honing the cylinder I'm not sure if you need to grind the ports????For sure if you bore them out!!
-
Grind the link and buy a new master link.I removed about 4 inches of the chain.
-
Is it true you need to use the clutch to shift?I never use the clutch unless I'm speed shifting.

i came online to vote tonight, but some how my vote has been in.....(maybe one to many cocktails the other night oops)..Anyways haspin would of been my first choice just because I never been their...Badlands will be just as good!!Only bad news is I wont go on menorial day.few of my buddys can't make it....any other weekend would be fine. It don't look like alot of guys are interested so far...perhaps we should plan it for labor day to give it time....It's a good chance badlands will be one of my first few trips of the year.maybe have a pre-midwestroostfest at the bandlands. We'll have a good time, chat about it here and maybe a few others will join for the big one on labor day.....just a thought.

Has anyone done this change and explain the changes they had in preformance.....

Someone posted a gear chart about a month ago.I'm looking to get that!!!I did a shearch and looked through a bunch of posts, but could not come up with it.I'm running 15/42 now and looking to change for some different trails/tracks.I'm thinking of 14/38 (39)for a sand track with sharp turns, small hills to climb.i would never hit 6 gear and 5th if I'm lucky.looking for good power in2, 3 and 4th gear. Is 14/something in the ball park?

Looking For A Good Set Of Tires "maybe Razar 2"
scotts96fast replied to blackred03's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have them on my machine and like them better than the shredders...Nice hook up....first time out in the sand i almost smoked a tree i didn't think they would hook that well in sand.... -
71mph is the most I ever got on 14/42....86 with 15/41 both on blacktop....I never had a tach back than, but i have one now. With my mods 8400 RPM'S is the highest. Does that sound low to you guys?from the numbers you guys are giving it does.Hmmmmm...Am I holding back some power somewhere?

How Hot Do The Jugs And Head Get?
scotts96fast replied to akpopeye's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I agree 1100 holys**t....if your talking exhaust ya(I think it's somewhere around there) -
Spoin39...the guys are asking how haspin compares to the badlands?(Size)I belive haspin has more woods trails than badlands...
-
I'm going to vote from haspin or the good old badlands.I'm still talking with the guys.sounds like haspin will be the choice thou.....i'm thinking Menorial Day or labor day weekend.we'll all get that extra day off of work for the guys that don't get vacation.....What do ya guys think of that?If were going south for badlands or haspin that would be a good weekend for memorial day(BE a little warmer sleeping in tents)!!!Than Silvercliff.Just my 2 cents.....
-
The man Mrmatt shorten my swingarm 2 inches and i'm running a RPM skid plate. T469 What is your setup down there?I run a lowering strut when I put it on years back I had to mod the skid plate. When matt did my swingarm I had to mod the plate again. The RPM skid plate will work, but you will lose protection from your dog bone. It's very easy to do any ? fire away.......
-
I never been to haspin and the place sounds interesting....hmmmm badlands is cool, but trying someting new would be fun....Silvercliff I would been interested in,BUT I don't want to deal with their sound level unless things changed out there. We might have problems...????have to chat with the guys and find out their interest.any of the 3 would be awsome......

That was pretty cool...... I just saw the video tape of the drag....After the wheelie the ass end was fishtailing.I couldn't keep it strait.what's up with that Just lack of traction?
-
That's what I'd do. EDIT...just though of this also... What type of terrain are you dragging on & what type of tire, size, paddles? This was on frozen ground. The sleds tore it up and the snow was gone at the line.Sometimes I will be on Ice.I studded a set of shredders 20".They are used but in fair shape. Is there a rule of thumb on the gear you want to be in when passing the finish line?I hooked up pretty good(did a wheelie for the first 10 feet...Whoops)But I started in first gear.I should go out and try a 14 up front and second gear start. It does bog a little sometimes starting in second with a 15 T.Not sure if it's me with the clutch and rpm's or machine can't handle it....have to go out and try a few things..
-
I had 4lbs in the tires.Without beablocks how low can you go without spinning a tire off the rim?ya I started in 1st...2nd it's not really there.unless I don't have it rev'd high enough......or it's just the gearing.....what rpm do you guys like to launch at?I have a tach, but just started to do drags and have some to learn.....it's all over in a few seconds.....

Anyone From Illinois Have A Place To Ride
scotts96fast replied to Dawgler23's topic in Riding and Events Forum
So where is Haspin?Near badlands... -
I did some winter drags this year and my launch really sucked. After 200 feet i was passing and gaining ground on the guys, but ran out of track. It's only 500 feet...With my set-up what can I do to improve my launch?I was at +4....What is the difference from +4 and +7timing?Where's the most power with each setting? Also I was at the end of 4th gear(MAYBE 5TH GEAR NOT SURE) at the end of the track running 15/41gearing.should I run a different gear on a short track? My shee pulls alot harder in mid to top....need to find some bottom nuts!!
