  1. I know your just trying to get help as soon as possible but please don't double post, now to your problem.... check and see if the pilot jet is clogged on that side, sounds like you got some trash in the carbs. 1st post Mike
  2. IM IN LIKE FLYNT BOYS!!!!!!! It's early enough for me to apply for vacation so there's no excuse for me not to be there. Mike
  3. Tether, nerfs and numbers are required on every track to race. If a track doesn't require the first two then I don't think I would race there. Mike
  4. Banshee's are like that freaky bitch that you loaded up from a party and brought back to the pad, she just can't get enough. So the next day your arms are jello, knees are weak, your back is stiff and you got a burnin....... well nevermind that part . Mike
  5. Quicksand +2+1 arms w/ chrome uppers: 565$ Elka shocks (used): 312$ Elka rebuild: 250$ Total: 1127.00$ One of the best front ends money can buy Mike
  6. Having pics would require somone with a memory to throw the camera in the gear bag. Seeing as how I have the memory of a goldfish well ...... . The feeling of hitting that kicker under the lights with 200 plus watching was better than sex. Mike
  7. Check above the the shifter where the clutch cable goes into the case... there should be an arrow there and an arrow on the cable linkage. If those aren't lined up then that can be youre problem. Mike
  8. I know what you mean about the front end acting like it wants to wander.... only time I notice it is on concrete when my front tire catches a rut(concrete sucked in from big trucks) and it grabs it and wants to go that direction. I don't think I would've said this before I bought them but I think a-arms are well worth there price. Mike
  9. Well my buddie and I loaded up the rides and headed out to the big labor day ride at the red river yesterday morning. When we get there I took a little cruise to the mx track.... There were 3 kickers setup 2 dirtbike ones and a quad kicker(bout a 25ft landing and 30ft gap). All of them were about 20ft long and about 12 ft high. Well I/my buddy had been talking myself into hitting the kicker. I sat and watched the 400's,450r/yfz and 250r's hitting it all day long. So I waived one of the guys over and asked him what gear and etc.. he was using to hit it. Nightfall came and the freestyle show was starting up... there go the quads one after another making it look sooooo easy. Well I line and run by it a couple times, 4th time around I went for it. Held her pinned in 3rd gear... cleared it by a good 5-7 feet . I was so pumped I couldn't even pull of a no-hander or anything the whole 6 times I jumped it. That was the highest i've EVER been on wheels and it was the shit. It through you a good 15ft. off the kicker so about 30-35ft off the ground. The landing was easier than the little podunk jumps I have in my pasture (course the elkas tend to help a little bit ). Sorry for the book but I figured my boys of the HQ would enjoy a little sunday evening story. BTW: I'm sore fucking sore today I can't even bend over, the whole damd place is sand so the mx track had man eating woops in it. Mike
  10. but they are a pinch nicer, showa makes decent shocks....the shee's a better jumper, more acceleration on the launch helps tons, the ex is like dropping a bag of cement off a roof LMAO!!!! .... The feeling of hittin the freestyle kicker yesteday with my 'shee is a rush from hell. Kinda like the first time you wake up a strange girls bed... in a town 50miles away. Mike
  11. no shit. i freaking hate lower gears. taller/higher gears allow you to pull a gear longer. some say lower gears in the woods, bs, taller gears will allow you to hang onto a gear much longer. with a lower gear, you'll be shifting more than going. you can have all the shit in the world and a 13/41, and you'll be spanked by a piped 15/41 banshee every time. I run a 15/41 and love it, haven't tried 16/41, but don't know if it would pull it as well. Best thing to do is to try it. Get a cheap JT sprocket from RMATV or MagicRacing and they're plenty strong, try it and see for yourself. If you don't like it, then put the other back on. I run a 15/41 along with 1/2 the other people on this site... Like sredish said, you hook it up w/ that 13t guys w/ 15/41 guys will be passin you on two wheels. Mike
  12. Youre not just going to be able to "drop-in" the new shocks... you'll have to jack up the front end to relieve the pressure off of it. Mike
  13. No offense, but being that short, and weighing that much, you may want to consider a raptor or DS 650. Now I'm not saying you're too heavy for a banshee, nor am I pushing 4 strokes, but from a suspension and ride height viewpoint, the raptor or DS would be better. I have a friend who weighs about that much, but he's a bit taller, and 22. When he'd sit on my banshee, it seemed funny looking. The banshee already sits low anyway, but with that much weight, sits even lower. He owns a raptor, and when he sits on it, he sits about even with me on my banshee for the simple fact that the raptor has a higher seat height. The raptor just suits him better. Power band issues with that much weigh will be an issue as well. The banshee has more power than almost every 4 stroke out there with the exception of a few. A stock banshee won't have much bottom end torque, where as a modified one might, depending on the mods. You'll have to do a lot more clutch/throttle work to keep it moving smoothly and in the peak of the power band. Granted it can be done, but it'll be a bit more tricky with more weight. As far as the type of riding you do... I do all of that and then some. I've never had a problem riding in any terrain since I put on new tires. Riding various terrain is a bit tricky due to the touchy powerband, but with a little practice, you'll learn clutch/throttle control. Jumping is easy with a shee. Granted it's not as balanced as a 400EX, but it still gets the job done. The shee has the ability to accelerate quicker than most quads, with a limited amount of space, meaning jumps will be a bit easier when coming out of a short, tight corner. I went to a local track 2 weeks ago for the first time. A week before that I watched bike and quad races there, and a 400EX took first over 2 450Rs, a 250R (female rider), and a YFZ 450 (brand new, rider wasn't owner and didn't have a fucking clue). There was one jump in particular that's a nice 30-40 foot step up, and these guys weren't even clearing it. The EX was coming the closest, but everyone else was hitting in the middle. These guys have memberships and ride this trakc all the time, but when I rode it for the first time, I was pulling faster times than they were, and clearing the jump with little effort. Needless to say, I don't race, and wasn't familiar with the track... but I will be racing soon!! The banshee is an awesome machine, and well worth the purchase. Don't be afraid of picking a quad just because you're concerned about what kind of riding you mostly do, but leave that decision based on present performance, and furture performance after some mods. Stock for stock, some quads may out perform others in certian areas, but there's no comparision when a banshee gets a few new toys added to it. Excellent post . MIKE
  14. E-Z out is a busted screw extractor, it spins backwards to back the screw out. You can pick one up at the local hardware store. Mike

  18. Theres also www.f150online.com Mike
  19. A-arms and shocks are by far THE BEST mod I ever put on my 'shee... I'm still trying to get used to the turning ability. Nothing better than being able to rip a 4th gear powerslide on grass ... I also run flipped front rims though. My front end is 51'' and my rear is just about 49.5''. I've been having a problem sending pm's so I don't know if you got it but theres a BIG ASS labor day fest just outside of bonham at www.redriveratv.com..... I know a guy who's gonna be there that runs a -2 that you could try out . Mike
  20. Yeah, that shock stuff makes sense. I also feel that -8 is a bit much. I was gonna get her down to -4 or 3.5 and see how shee feels. I could tell just from inital ride how improved the handling was and how it almost seemed to lean into the corners. Can't wait to go for a long ride. NICE!!!! I run -4.5 camber in a about 1/8'' toe in. Are you still running the stock swingarm?? Mike
  21. You might not need new brake lines (if you run the lines in front of the shocks), It's a decent deal on the arms depending how old they are. I only paid 550$ to the door for my quicksands though, I know that I wouldn't go w/ the +1's . That will put you at about 48.5'' wide up front (50'' if you go +2's), unless you ride ALOT of tight woods. Although you could prolly get away without revalving your elka's if you only went +1 though. Mike
  22. Everclear.... the reason I got Pi, assault on P.O., mic, mip and a broke nose. Crazy story behind every bottle. Mike
  23. Especially coming from a chick.... Mike
  24. then I got high...... I guess I ain't ever got tore up over a chick, I did take it pretty hard when I killed my own dog though. Mike
