  1. It was a little to bright for me at first but the colors got darker and the features just seem to be getting better and better!! I REALLY like the "click for e-mail notif. of replies" option on post that you might forget about. I was lost w/ out my daily HQ fix . Mike
  2. HELL YA!!!! It takes like 1.5' off your turning radius, you can whip the back end around w/ out throttle if the RPM's are up. You can pull wheelies ON GRAVEL ROADS!!! I was on a dry gravel road (80%of the roads in my town), pinned it in 3rd while leaning back and ripped a high speed wheelie . So needless to say it gives you more that just a "little more traction". You might want to look into cut and welding your pegs 2''back and 1'' lower also (Banchetta knows about this). Mike
  3. Banchetta, I was refering to the ASR sport star (300$) arms about the PC coming off. I've just read/been told that they are cheaply made, the higher end ones might be better. The pro-stars are .95''thick and made outa that 1030(??) chromoly, which is EXCACTLY like the jannsen's. I really like the way the quicksand arms look WELL built, as it looks now i'll prolly end up going w/ those or the ricky stators. Mike
  4. I've heard bad stuff about lower-end asr arms(powdercoat coming off, BREAKING at the ball joints and just cheaply made). I appreciate every bit of info I can get, and hearing "real world" test is some of the best info ever. I REALLY like those quicksands, but I sure as hell ain't gettin chrome. Mike
  5. I'm going to have right at 425$ to spend on a-arms tonight b/c I just got through digging a MEAN ASS trench for the farmer down the road (in case your wondering 100ft. long 1.5deep/wide). I sold my ps2 also so between the 2 of them I have 425-450$, I'm looking for a set of a-arms on ebay (new/used don't matter). I stumbled across the wicked products a-arms... THESE any good?? Or should I just scrape some more cash and get some new quicksands, ricky stator's or jdperforance(whats there site url??). Any info is greatly appreciated, I would like to do it right the first time. Mike
  6. Happy Burfday!!!! Just another reason to get shizzy . Mike
  7. Take an S.O.S. pad and rub it on there hard w/ some aluminum polish (just like you would everything else). Then wipe it in, then repeat the process w/ just a regualar cloth. Bluing is a sign of leaness though. Mike
  8. I'm currently running a duece's old -2.5 swingarm, stock a-arms w/ flipped front rims, front elka sports/racing shocks, ride height about 13''(shocks setup for +2 arms), and stock back shock. I can adjust the swingarm to -1 3/4'' to -3 1/4'' via the chain adjusters. I'm running it at right about -2'', well I'm just gonna quit rambling and cut to the chase..... The local tracks around here range from HARD rock/dirt mix to sandy-dirt loam mix, I run 15/41 gears w/ 20x11x10 razrs w/ that setup I can leave the line at about 5-6000rpm and slip the clutch to keep the front end about 6''-1' off the ground which gets me consecutive holeshots. I love the look on a modded 440ex riders face when I pass him in woops that a stock-armed 'shee fights to make it through alive (I know from experience). The bike actually reacts to the rear brake/clutch in the air, I can hit jumps in 2nd gear and land 90degrees from the launch (never could w/ the stock arm). My 'shee is now more like a dirtbike, if i'm on the front of the seat and punch it i'm just gonna hook and be gone... if i'm on the back then the wheels are skyward bound. I picked up about 3-4seconds w/ the cut swingarm not even pushing it. Now if my quad launches straight up into the air, I can grab the clutch/ stomp the rear brake and bring it back down. The bike is overall just more predictable... you don't have to have miss cleo riding beside you to tell what a hell is about to break loose when you launch off in 4th gear. Sorry for the book but I tried to cover everything that somebody could ask about who races mx. If anyone wants to add any info feel free, any questions just ask.
  9. I'll give you 100$ for that coors light keg (even though they support the serria club). Mike
  10. If your talking about the coolant running outa the rezzie at the back of the quad then that's no big deal. Mine would be almost empty after a hard day at the mx track, the first couple times I worried about it but my radiator was never low so I just said f*ck IT and lft it empty. If your talking about coolant running outa your radiator then thats no good . Mike
  11. Did you hold the throttle WIDE open while kicking it over slowly?? How many kicks did you give it got to 145?? Mike
  12. I think the background is just a hair to bright for my old man eyes , but hell don't change just on my opinion... I likie Mike

    what gear??

Scott, I'm currently running a duece's old -2.5 swingarm, stock a-arms w/ flipped front rims, front elka sports/racing shocks, ride height about 13''(shocks setup for +2 arms), and stock back shock. Sorry for the book but I tried to cover everything that somebody could ask about who races mx. BTW: My ass would get TOASTED w/ that low of gears... I stay in 2nd-4th the whole track. Mike
  14. Bignasty1, Those are the coolant journals on the cylinders.... thats how the top-end stays cool. LanceG60, You can get a rebuild kit off ebay or magic racing... the domes will have a little number (19,20,21...) on the side off them which will tell you what size they are. Mike
  15. I'm with zep on this one... SHIT HAPPENS!! But if he keeps on your case, you can't avoid him forever. I've only been in one fight that I absolutely couldn't avoid. He was a good 8''taller than me and 30pounds heavier.. So I fought him dirty, a good punch to the throut, a kick in the knee and kept wailing on his head once he was down b/c I knew if he got a chance to get up he'd eat my lunch. Late, Mike
  16. You'll love the cut swingarm if you ever cut it, if you plan on doing mx I would stay w/ the fatties b/c the T5's require ALOT more clutch work. You'll be making some pretty kick ass power, then I would do chassis mods. If I were to do my mods over it woud be like this: Intake Shocks Cut Swingarm Pipes Tires In that order!!! I suggest you try out a 15t front sprocket, you'll have plenty of power to pull it. It makes the 'shee just pull FOREVER in 3rd, 4th and 5th. That exrta little bit in 2nd/3rd helps you clear those jumps that you just need that extra little bit. Mike
  17. I'm A little on the edge w/ 93octane and 20cc domes at my elevation. This is why I check the elevation on the place I'm going to ride at for a weekend trip. There is one place I ride and the elevation is 575ftabv. sealvl. and I've run 5tanks of 93 there :?: BTW: Duece I sprayed some gizum on the bushings and smeared some grease on the seals like you said and the squeaking cleared up. Mike
  18. Basically duece has it covered but I figure I'll throw in my experience. I WAS running 93 and 18cc(which require race fuel at my elevation) domes b/c I didn't know too much about domes when I bought the shee and the dude ran race fuel in it.... Well long story short, one week after purchase my motor went KABOOM!!! I'm right around 800ft elevation and now I run 93 on 20cc domes. Mike
  19. I'm tryin to get/give a little info here... shouldn't he get some 27.5/30pilots?? I run 310mains 30pilots w/ the pro-design K&N setup, snorkle removed, reeds and small holes in the lid.
  20. I think I live in dog years   . I've just started to tap 19 and I already have had 2 knee surgerys, hyperextended elbow, 1/2way blind, busted chin, broken 2 collar bones, I take anti-flammitorys every 4 hours my ankles, knees, elbows and wrists all creak and snap when I turn or bend them. So 19x7= just shoot me now . Mike
