  1. LMAO.. It weighs 550LBS!!! You are totally wrong and actually quite rude by saying that it's "for little boys who's nuts haven't dropped yet" Both have their place is in this world.. just on opposite ends... Mike
  2. Nothing you'll notice.. his riding style changed... but he didn't change bikes .... PERFECT for what your gonna use it for... The powerband is SMOOOOOOTHH... Mike
  3. I have a crf hybrid and My friend has the crf bike... My cousin has the X.. .. Honda had the TERRIBLE idea of putting Ti intake valves.. those will clap out if you don't keep them adjusted... Don't let that scare you.. the modern 4-strokes are not 1/16th bad as the myth claims... take care of it and it will take care of you... As for the bike itself... It's a trail bike.. top heavy, like 30lbs heavier than the crf.. different cam/flywheel/subframe/set/plastic... Basically a totally different bike.. You can ride it literally for days at time ... If your looking to hit doubles.. go with the R.... I can tell you one thing.. when my cousin rode with my buddy and I.... he wished he had the crf half way through the day... EDIT: With a pipe/filter, gearing, cam and brass balls 100+ is EASILY obtainable... I'ts already got a mellow cam.. throw some fat motard tires on there and let er eat .... Mike
  4. What do you need to know? I can help you with almost anything motor wise... Mike
  5. Matt.. that was just a general piece of info about LT shocks.. I should've clarified myself..... we all know that LT and banshee don't go in the same sentence ... With that being said... You can use ANY shock on ANY a-arm as long is it's not LT and for your mahine... If the arms are bumping the rezzies that's bad R&D.... By bumping the rezzys.. you talking about justing's custom creations arms? IMO... TCS is the only people that care about 'shees anymore... Every set of aftermarket shocks I've rode on banshees in the past year have been tcs or badly setup others... Mike
  6. Then you can look up in RMATV or dennis kirk and it will tell you the wheel offset measurements... Mike
  7. Just little info: You see manufactures like walsh/pep, roll/elka etc... Well the a-arms are actually designed around those shocks... Like my axis are 19'' so I run JRD.... Elkas are 20''... Some are 20 1/4''... PEP are 19 1/2'' etc... Mike
  8. It's a honda goldwing with 2 extra wheels and a thumb throttle... Mike
  9. Matt, Mark my words.. in a year... ohlins and progressive will be the top dogs in the suspesnion dept... Followed by PEP then AXIS.... I'm glad somebody agrees with me about the yfz shocks... why would you spend the time to take off your front end.. grind it all up.. just to put some stockers back on .... I've seen the progressives in action... It's like poetry in motion... Mike
  10. Everybody in here gave you a reasonable reply..... I am a huge smart ass... but I was actualy trying to take this topic somehwere... hoping you would reply with something other than you did.... I can think of 5 threads off hand were this has been discussed at length... Go head and type in "long travel" in the search... Or do you know how to use it? . I have BOTH a 450 and a 'shee.. yes... the 450's are 300times better than the 'shee at doing anything but going in a straight line...I would be more than happy to help you out but this is a LOOOOONNGG discussion... If your going to be a prick to anybody that replies you can go find your help somewhere else ... Mike
  11. Man... someobdy need to resize that with the badness.... I can only see as far as the doobies b4 it all fades to beer goggledness.... I got another hobby that is gonna make me go blind ... at least that's what momma said when she caught me in da tool shed... Mike
  12. If you had to ask that, I seriously reccomend you have a shop do it for you.... There's a hell of alot more to porting than a dremel, an hour and a six pack... Mike
  13. .... It's the fact that you get people that register for the soul fact of answering there question... no searching... no even a quick scroll down the page... So somebody does the search for them.. post a reply... not even a thank you... never hear from them again... Cruise around the HQ a little more before you make a blind assumption such as that one.... I mean... seriously... do you have to ask somebody ACROSS THE COUNTRY what rims are on YOUR bike .... If you make an ass out of yourself... we will sure as hell let you know .... Mike
  14. Ummm walt .... Mike
  15. What would you rather jump.... sand rail or a school bus? Mike
  16. I'm going to have to disagree with that... if both front ends are dialed in tits... there is actually quite a difference in LT and standard travel.... For you average rider though, the biggest difference he'll get out of LT and standard is the visual appeal.... The people that started that rumor about LT being a waste are full of bologna.... Mike
  17. I mean... that thing is good.... Mike
  18. Look a little closer .... That's no EX .... Mike
  19. More than likely it's a 465... which is about reliable as a quadzilla... The only way a 400ex will run with the new production bikes is with a heart transplant... Not like I would know anything about that .... Mike
  20. Resent.. I didn't get yours either... [email protected] Mike
  21. Scott, You get my e-mail? Mike
  22. Ummm... 450 what? Mike
  23. That's your problem right there.. You have the arms mounted right.... Bad engineering/R&D is to blame... Is It really 1/2mm... does look pretty close but not that close... You can run it... not like you have much of a choice .... Think about it... once that arm is bolted in... Were in the hell is it gonna go? Mike
  24. What's a bung? How'd you manage to get the balljoint 1/2mm from the spring... Mike
