  1. those are for 9 inch rims, your ad says they are 22-11x8 but in the pic it says 22-11x9
  2. well you want ground clearance naturally, but lowering the ride height helps the bike handle so much better then it would if it was jacked up high. heres a picture I dug up of one of the guys I ride and race with. this pic was from the loretta lynn's gncc race this year, http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/orderpage....0418&po=418 http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/orderpage....0419&po=419
  3. almost all the guys I know around here who race XC all run lowering kits in the rear with aftermarket shocks. I think everybody runs the GT Thunder rear linkage that is well worth the money from what ive heard. it lowers the ride height and lets the rear end squat under acceleration and puts alot of sag in the suspension. this lets the rear end drop down into the ruts and braking bumps and holes and always keeps the tires on the ground digging. makes for a smooth ride through the real rough stuff. and for the 400ex motor, all I would do to it is get a bigger aftermarket oil tank, a good slip-on pipe, and a 450r carb. and just as important is good tires and wheels and good skid plates.
  4. i'd reccomend a roundhouse swingarm to replace the stocker. much more stronger if you plan on doing alot of racing and riding with your banshee. i'd also recommend a -1 cause it gives the bike so much more traction, more than you would think if you've never tried one. it moves the rear tires a little closeer to underneath you and also helps give a tighter turning radius. only bad part though is steep hill climbs can get hairy with the added traction and shorter rear end. and most will disagree, but a 2 into 1 intake and 35mm pwk works awesome for woods setups. with just one carb you dont have as much time into jetting and dont have to worry about syncronizing twin carbs, and you also get a easier thumb throttle pull. and for the thumb throttle, i'd get a 400ex throttle, you can find em all day at around 35$ on ebay in brand new condition,
  5. clocked 100mph racing against a corvette , the radar guy must have clocked the vette instead lol. that thing even still has the stock exhaust on it
  6. Im trying to sell my banshee, asking $1900 obo. heres the craigslist ad, http://bgky.craigslist.org/mcy/1248731593.html the bike is in good shape and runs strong, starts 1st kick and needs nothing. only reason im selling is cause I have a 250r as my main bike and im looking for a street bike (will trade if you got one, must be a good shape daily rider)
  7. thanks man, thats the answer I was looking for.
  8. so, is the eej needle leaner than the eek??
  9. I got a 2 into 1 intake on my bike, 35mm airstryker with airbox/prodesign filter. I think I need one of these needles but im not sure which one, what is the difference between the eek and eej needle?
  10. some might not agree with that, but they deffinatly have their own unique sound, unlike any other banshee exhaust out there. when I ran this pipe it sounded like a big, pissed off swarm of bees in a tin can. the silencer could probably use some fresh packing, then it should sound like an indy car like most of these 2 into 1 exhausts do.
  11. I have a dynoport 2 into 1 exhaust system for sale. i'll try to get pics up here in the next day or two. the pipe is in good shape but the silencer is a little rough around the edges, has a slip-on spark arrestor welded on the silencer by a previous owner. but with maybe some hi-temp paint and some heavy cleaning/polishing the silencer will look good too. im asking 150$ shipped for the pipe and silencer ( may have to add a few bucks if your on the far west coast for shipping). i'll take paypal or a postal money order for payment, but if you use paypal you will need to add 4% for the paypal fees.
  12. I would even be happy if they just updated the brakes and used yfz450 front calipers, seeing how they bolt on with no mods to the banshee spindle.
  13. I bought one of those ebay +2 swingarms for a blaster I used to have......worth every bit of the 200$ they sell for. the powdercoating is slick and the swingarm itself is pretty beefy. the rear tabs where the carrier bolts on is thicker then the stock swingarm tabs. if you dont want to spend much money then they are a good choice.
  14. hey liftdT4R, what kind of thumb throttle do you have there on your XC bike? in that pic looking at the gas tank and handel bars, it looks like the thumb throttle lever is setup flat along the handlebar grip. thats the kind of setup im trying to fix on mine, its just got the stock throttle right now, and after about a hour of riding I can barely push the throttle cause of the angle the throttle arm is at.
  15. I wouldnt mind trying out a set of these tires, STI dirt trax http://www.goldenwestcycle.com/productinfo..._676-dc_587.htm they are a remake of the old titan trail claw II's. i'd say they would hook pretty good on any kind of dirt.
  16. yea it will deffinatly handel better with 21 inch front tires. 23's are mostly used for desert racing/riding and sometimes XC woods racing and trail riding when you need extra ground clearance, but this also makes the bike feel more tippy in the turns.
  17. I have a dynoport 2 intp 1 exhaust and when I tried it for a bit on my bike, it felt like the throttle response was a tad better in the 0 to quarter throttle range and the powerband "hit" was tamed down quite a bit over my fmf gnarly pipes. the bike still felt like it reved out to the high rpms like the gnarly pipes, but I cant tell you how good they pulled compared to the twin pipes cause my clutch slips in the powerband and high rpms quite a bit.
  18. yea the heim joints are the ones with teflon injected into them.
  19. ive already done that lol. its took apart right now but im plannin on putting it back together here soon when I get some extra time. and I did set down and look at how much different the two frames are. you are right it would take more fabrication then I first thought, but it could be done. I would deffinatly try it if I had a extra banshee frame.
  20. i'd give him 1500 for it. sounds like the carbs are out of sync lol I like how he rides it though, sits all the way on the back of the seat  lol
